⁶ For Adonay says thus to me, Go, stand a watcher; to tell what he sees.

¹⁷ and a watcher stands on the tower in Yizre El; and he sees the throng of Yah Hu as he comes; and says, I see a throng. And Yah Ram says, Take a charioteer and send to meet them; and say, Shalom? ¹⁸ So one goes riding on a horse to meet him and says, Thus says the sovereign, Shalom? And Yah Hu says, What have you to do with shalom? Turn behind me. And the watcher tells, saying, The angel comes to them; but he returns not: ¹⁹ and he sends out a second riding on a horse who comes to them and says, Thus says the sovereign, Shalom? And Yah Hu says, What have you to do with shalom? Turn behind me. ²⁰ And the watcher tells, saying, He comes to them and returns not: and the driving is as the driving of Yah Hu the son of Nimshi; for he drives insanely.

⁶ I guard to oversee on your walls, O Yeru Shalem, which hush not continually day and night: you who remember Yah Veh, quiet not;

¹⁷ Son of humanity, I give you, a watcher to the house of Yisra El: so hear the word at my mouth, and enlighten them from me.

² Son of humanity, word to the sons of your people, and say to them, When I bring the sword on a land, if the people of the land take one man from their edges, and give him for their watcher: ³ and he sees the sword approach the land, he blasts the shophar and enlightens the people: ⁴ and in hearing, one hears the voice of the shophar, and takes not warning; and the sword approaches and takes him away, his blood is on his own head: ⁵ for he hears the voice of the shophar, and takes not warning; his blood is on himself: and he who takes warning, rescues his soul. ⁶ And if the watcher sees the sword approach, and neither blasts the shophar nor warns the people; if the sword approaches and takes a soul from among them, he is taken away in his perversity; and I require his blood at the hand of the watcher. ⁷ Thus you, O son of humanity, I give you as a watcher to the house of Yisra El: so hear the word at my mouth and enlighten them from me;

And Yah Veh answers me, and says, Inscribe the vision; and explain on slabs; so that he who runs calls out:
