³ And they say, man to friend, Give, we make brick and in burning, burn them; the brick is for stone and bitumin is for morter.

⁴ And they say, Give, we build us a city and a tower whose top is to the heavens; and we work us a name, lest we be scattered abroad on the face of the whole earth.

⁷ Give, we descend and mix up their lip, that man not hear the lip of his friend.

¹⁰ And the valley of Siddim is wells - wells of bitumin; and the sovereigns of Sedom and Amorah flee and fall there; and they who survive flee to the mountain:

¹⁴ and they embitter their lives with hard service, in morter and in brick and in all service in the field: all their service, wherein they have them serve, is with tyranny.

³ and when she cannot still hide him she takes for him an ark of bulrushes and daubs it with bitumin and with asphalt and puts the child therein; and she puts it in the reeds by the edge of the river:

⁷ Never again give the people straw for brickmaking, as three yesters ago: let them go and gather straw for themselves: ⁸ and set on them the quantity of bricks they worked three yesters ago: diminish naught thereof, for they are lazy: so they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our Elohim. ⁹ Let the service be heavy on the men and their work; and look not to false words. ¹⁰ And the exactors and the officers of the people go out and say to the people, saying, Thus says Paroh, I give you no straw. ¹¹ You - you go: take straw where you find it: that no word of your service diminishes. ¹² - and the people scatter throughout all the land of Misrayim to gather stubble instead of straw. ¹³ And the exactors hasten them, saying, Finish your works, your day by day words, as when there is straw. ¹⁴ And the officers of the sons of Yisra El, whom the exactors of Paroh set over them, are smitten, saying, Why finish you not your statute of brickmaking both yesterday and today, as three yesters ago? ¹⁵ Then the officers of the sons of Yisra El come and cry to Paroh, saying, Why work you thus with your servants? ¹⁶ They give no straw to your servants and they say to us, Work brick! And behold, your servants are smitten; but the sin is in your own people. ¹⁷ And he says, Lazy, lazy: so you say, Let us go and sacrifice to Yah Veh. ¹⁸ And now, go; serve: and no straw is given you: yet you give the gauge of bricks.

³¹ and he brings the people therein and sets them under saws and under slicers of iron and under axes of iron and passes them through the brickkiln: and thus he works to all the cities of the sons of Ammon: and David and all the people return to Yeru Shalem.

⁵ They strengthen themselves in an evil word; they scribe of hiding snares: they say, Who sees?

¹¹ if they say, Come with us, we lurk for blood, we hide out gratuitously for the innocent;

¹ I said in my heart, Go to, I beseech, I test you with cheerfulness; see the good: and behold, this also is vanity.

⁵ And now go to; I have you know what I work to my vineyard: I turn aside the hedge and burn it; and breach the wall to trample on:

¹⁰ The bricks fall, and we build with hewn stones: the sycomores are cut down, and we change them into cedars:

⁶ Every man helps his friend; and says to his brother, Courage! ⁷ And the engraver strengthens the refiner, and him who smoothes with the hammer and him who hammers the anvil, saying, Good to join/unite: and he strengthens it with nails, that it topple not.

³ a people who vex me continually to my face; who sacrifice in gardens and incense on altars of brick;

¹⁴ Bail waters for the siege; strengthen your fortresses: go into mire and tread the morter; strengthen the brickkiln:

¹³ but console yourselves each day, as long as it is called Today; lest any of you harden through the delusion of sin.

²⁴ And consider one another - to agitate to love and to good works:

¹³ Come now, you who word, Today or tomorrow we go to such a city and deal one year and merchandise and gain:
