⁵ and Yah Veh sees that the evil of humanity is great in the earth and that every imagination of the fabrications of his heart is only evil every day. ⁶ And Yah Veh sighs that he worked humanity on the earth and it contorts at his heart: ⁷ and Yah Veh says, I wipe out humanity whom I have created from the face of the soil - from human to animal and the creeper and the flyers of the heavens; for I sigh that I worked them.

²¹ And Yah Veh scents a sweet scent; and Yah Veh says in his heart, I never again abase the soil for sake of humanity; for the imagination of the heart of humanity is evil from his youth; I never again smite every live being as I worked;

⁵ Why be smitten any more? You increase revolt; the whole head is sick; and the whole heart bleeds:

¹³ You weary in the abundance of your counsels. I beseech you, have the horoscopists of the heavens, the seers of stars, the knowers of months stand up and save you from these that come on you.

⁹ and you stroll to the sovereign with ointment and abound your perfumes; and send your ambassadors afar off and debase yourself to sheol: ¹⁰ you belabor in the greatness of your way; yet you say not, I quit! You find the life of your hand; so you are not worn.

¹³ For my people work two evils: they forsake me, the fountain of living waters; and hew wells - broken wells that hold no water.

³ O Yah Veh, are not your eyes on trustworthiness? you smite them, and they writhe not; you finish them off, and they refuse to take correction: they toughen their faces as a rock; they refuse to return.

⁵ and every man mocks his friend and words not the truth: they teach their tongue to word falsehoods and weary themselves to pervert.

¹⁴ All humanity is brutish in knowledge: every refiner is shamed by the sculptile: for his libation is falsehood and there is no spirit in them: ¹⁵ they are vanity, the work of frauds: in the time of their visitation they destruct.

¹⁶ The word you worded to us in the name of Yah Veh, we hearkened not to you: ¹⁷ for in working, we work whatever comes from our own mouth, to incense to the sovereigness of the heavens and to libate libations to her as we worked - we and our fathers our sovereigns and our governors in the cities of Yah Hudah and in the outways of Yeru Shalem: for then we were satiated with bread and were good and saw no evil:

⁵⁸ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth: In stripping bare, the broad walls of Babel are stripped bare and her high portals burned with fire: and the people labor vainly enough and the nations are in the fire enough; and they weary.

⁶ So, thus says Adonay Yah Veh: Woe to the city of blood - to the caldron whose scum is therein, and whose scum comes not out of it: bring it out member by member; and that no pebble fall thereon.

¹³ In your foulness is intrigue: because I purify you; and you purify not: you purify not from your foulness any more until I rest my fury on you.

¹³ as inscribed in the torah of Mosheh, all this evil comes on us: yet we stroke not the face of Yah Veh our Elohim to turn from our perversities and comprehend your truth: ¹⁴ and Yah Veh watches on the evil, and brings it on us: for Yah Veh our Elohim is just in all the works he works: for we hearken not to his voice.

¹ Ephrayim grazes on wind and pursues the easterly; every day he abounds lies and ravages: and they cut a covenant with the Ashshuri and bear oil to Misrayim.

¹³ Behold, is it not from Yah Veh Sabaoth that the nations labor for sufficient fire? And the people weary themselves for sufficient vanity?

¹⁸ What profit is the sculptile to the former who sculpts - or the molten, to a teacher of falsehoods, Confides the former of its form to work mute idols? ¹⁹ Ho to him who says to the timber, Waken! - to the silent stone, Waken! It teaches! Behold, it is manipulated with gold and silver, and there is no spirit at all in its midst.
