And if a man dupes a virgin who is not betrothed and lies with her, in endowing, he endows her as his woman.

² and when Shechem the son of Hamor the Hivviy, hierarch of the land, sees her, he takes her and lies down with her and humbles her: ³ and his soul adheres to Dinah the daughter of Yaaqov; and he loves the lass and words to the heart of the lass. ⁴ And Shechem says to his father Hamor, saying, Take me this child to woman.

²⁸ When a man finds a lass - a virgin not betrothed and captures her and lies with her and they find them; ²⁹ then the man who lies with her gives fifty silver to the father of the lass and she becomes his woman: and because he humbled her he cannot send her away all his days.
