THE VISION OF DANI EL: OF THE RAM AND THE BUCK
In the third year of the sovereigndom of sovereign Bel Shats Tsar a vision was seen by me - Dani El, after the one that was seen by me at the beginning. ² And I see in a vision; and so be it, I see, and I am at Shushan in the palace, in the jurisdiction of Elam: and I see in a vision, and I am by the river of Ulai: ³ and I lift my eyes and see, and behold, there at the face of the river stands one ram with horns: and the horns are high; but one is higher than the second and the higher ascends last: ⁴ I see the ram butting seaward and northward and southward; so that live beings neither stand at his face, nor are rescued from his hand; and he works as he pleases; and greatens. ⁵ And I discern, and behold, a buck of the doe goats comes from the dusk on the face of the whole earth, and touches not the earth: and the buck has a horn of vision between his eyes: ⁶ and he comes to the ram master of horns - whom I see standing at the face of the river; and runs to him in the fury of his force: ⁷ and I see him touch close beside the ram and he embitters against him; and smites the ram and breaks his two horns: and the ram has no force to stand at his face; and he casts him to the earth and tramples him: there is no one to rescue the ram from his hand. ⁸ And the buck of the doe goats greatens mightily: and when he is mighty, the great horn breaks; and a vision of four ascends toward the four winds of the heavens: ⁹ and from one of them, comes a little horn which greatens exceedingly, toward the south and toward the rising and toward the splendor: ¹⁰ and it greatens to the host of the heavens; and it fells some of the host and of the stars to the earth, and tramples them. ¹¹ Yes, he greatens, even to the governor of the host; and he lifts the continual and casts down the place of the holies: ¹² and he gives a host against the continual by reason of rebellion, and casts down the truth to the earth; and it works and prospers. ¹³ And I heard a holy one speaking, and a holy one says to such a one who speaks, How long ere the vision of the continual, and the rebellion of desolating, gives both the holies and the host a trampling? ¹⁴ And he says to me, Until two thousand and three hundred evening mornings; then the holies is justified. ¹⁵
A MIGHTY INTERPRETS THE VISION
And so be it, I - I Dani El see the vision and seek discernment, and behold, there stands in front of me as the visage of a mighty: ¹⁶ and I hear a human voice between Ulai, and he calls and says, Gabri El, this one discerns the vision. ¹⁷ So he comes beside where I stand: and he comes, and I frighten and fall on my face: and he says to me, Discern, O son of humanity: for the vision of the time of the end. ¹⁸ And as he words with me, I sleep soundly on my face toward the earth: and he touches me, and in standing, stands me: ¹⁹ and he says, Behold, I have you know what becomes in the last end of the rage at the season of the end. ²⁰ The ram you see - the master of horns are the sovereigns of Maday and Persia: ²¹ and the buck buck, the sovereign of Yavan: and the great horn between his eyes, the first sovereign; ²² that, being broken, four stand in its stead - four sovereigndoms from the goyim stand - but not in his force. ²³ And in the finality of their sovereigndom, the rebels are consummated, and a sovereign of strong face and discerning riddles stands: ²⁴ and his force is mighty - and not by his own force: and he ruins marvelously and prospers and works; and ruins the mighty and the people of the holy one: ²⁵ and through his comprehension deceit also prospers in his hand; and he greatens in his heart and by serenity ruins many: he also stands against the Governor of governors; and is broken by a final hand. ²⁶ And the vision of the evening and the morning is said in truth: and you, you shut up the vision; for it is for many days. ²⁷ And I Dani El, am sick for days, I rise and work the work of the sovereign - stunned at the vision; and no one discerns it.

THE DREAM OF DANI EL, OF FOUR LIVE BEINGS
In the first year of Bel Shats Tsar sovereign of Babel Dani El sees a dream and visions of his head on his bed: then he inscribes the dream and says the sum of the utterances:

¹⁵ I Dani El grieve in my spirit midst my sheath, and the visions of my head terrify me.

²⁸ So, thus is the conclusion of the utterance. I - Dani El, my intentions terrify me much and my cheerfulness changes in me: but I guarded the utterance in my heart.

A MIGHTY INTERPRETS THE VISION
And so be it, I - I Dani El see the vision and seek discernment, and behold, there stands in front of me as the visage of a mighty:

² in the first year of his reign I Dani El discern by scrolls the number of the years the word of Yah Veh was to Yirme Yah the prophet, concerning fulfilling the parched areas of Yeru Shalem - seventy years.

² In those days I, Dani El mourn three weeks of days:

⁷ And I, Dani El alone see the vision; and the men with me see not the vision: and a great trembling falls on them; so that they flee to hide themselves:

⁴ and he stands, and his sovereigndom breaks in half toward the four winds of the heavens: and neither to his posterity nor according to the reign he reigns: for his sovereigndom uproots, - and for others beside these.

And so be it, in the days of Amraphel sovereign of Shinar, Aryoch sovereign of Ellasar, Kedorlaomer sovereign of Elam and Tidal sovereign of goyim:

⁶ and he says, Hear I beseech, my words: If your prophet is of Yah Veh I make myself known to him in a vision and word to him in a dream.

NECHEM YAH WEEPS OVER THE SURVIVORS
Words of Nechem Yah the son of Hachal Yah. And so be it, in the month Kislav, in the twentieth year, I am in Shushan the palace, ² in those days, the sovereign Achash Rosh settles on the throne of his sovereigndom in Shushan palace;

ESTER WELL-PLEASES THE EYES OF THE SOVEREIGN
And so be it, the word and the edict of the sovereign is heard; and many lasses gather to Shushan palace to the hand of Hegai: and Ester is taken to the house of the sovereign to the hand of Hegai the guard of the women.

¹⁵ The runners go, hastened by the word of the sovereign and the edict is given in Shushan palace. And the sovereign and Haman sit to drink; and the city Shushan is perplexed.

⁶ And Ester says, The tribulator and enemy is this evil Haman. - and Haman is frightened at the face of the sovereign and the sovereigness.

¹⁵ And Mordekay goes from the face of the sovereign in a robe of the sovereigndom of blue and white and with a great crown of gold and with a robe of bleached cotton and purple; and the city of Shushan resounds and cheers.

¹¹ On that day, they bring the number of those slaughtered in Shushan palace at the face of the sovereign:

¹⁵ And the Yah Hudiym in Shushan also congregate on the fourteenth day of the month Adar and slaughter three hundred men at Shushan; and they spread not their hand on the plunder.

THE SURVIVORS RESTORED
And so be it, in that day, Adonay adds to set his hand secondly to chattel the survivors of his people who survive - from Ashshur and from Misrayim and from Pathros and from Kush and from Elam and from Shinar and from Hamath and from the islands of the sea:

² I am told a hard vision: the coverter coverts and the ravager ravages. Ascend, O Elam! Besiege, O Maday! I shabbathize all its sighing.

²⁵ and all the sovereigns of Zimri; and all the sovereigns of Elam; and all the sovereigns of the Maday;

MESSAGE AGAINST ELAM
So be the word of Yah Veh to Yirme Yah the prophet against Elam in the beginning of the sovereigndom of Sidqi Yah sovereign of Yah Hudah, saying, ³⁵ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth: Behold, I break the bow of Elam, the beginning of their might: ³⁶ and on Elam I bring the four winds from the four ends of the heavens; and winnow them toward all those winds; so that no goyim becomes where the expelled of Elam enter not. ³⁷ For I dismay Elam at the face of their enemies and at the face of them who seek their soul: and I bring evil on them - my fuming wrath - an oracle of Yah Veh and I send the sword after them until I finish them off: ³⁸ and I set my throne in Elam, and destroy there the sovereign and the governors - an oracle of Yah Veh. ³⁹ And so be it, in the latter days, I restore the captivity of Elam - an oracle of Yah Veh.

²⁴ There is Elam with all her multitude: surrounded her tomb, all of the pierced; the fallen by the sword: who descend the uncircumcised into the nethermost of the earth; who give their terror in the land of the living; yet they bear their shame with them who descend to the well.

² Dani El answers and says, I see in my vision by night, and behold, the four winds of the heavens rush on the great sea:

³ and I lift my eyes and see, and behold, there at the face of the river stands one ram with horns: and the horns are high; but one is higher than the second and the higher ascends last:

THE SON OF ELOHIM IS THE ESSENCE OF ELOHIM
In many portions and in many manners, long ago, Elohim spoke to the fathers in the prophets,

² and Bilam lifts his eyes and sees Yisra El tabernacling by their scions; and the spirit of Elohim comes on him:

YERICHO FALLS And so be it, as Yah Shua is by Yericho, he lifts his eyes and sees, and behold, a man standing opposite him with his sword drawn in his hand: and Yah Shua goes to him, and says to him, Are you for us, or for our tribulators?

¹⁶ and David lifts his eyes and sees the angel of Yah Veh stand between the earth and between the heavens, with his sword drawn in his hand spread over Yeru Shalem. - and David and the elders cover in saq and fall on their faces.

² Thus says Koresh sovereign of Persia: Yah Veh Elohim of the heavens gives me all the sovereigndoms of the earth; and he musters me to build him a house at Yeru Shalem, Yah Hudah.

⁵ and hire counsellors against them to break down their counsel all the days of Koresh sovereign of Persia - even until the sovereigndom of Daryavesh sovereign of Persia.

³ in the third year of his reign, he works a banquet to all his governors and his servants; the virtuous of Persia and Maday, the nobles and governors of the jurisdictions at his face;

¹⁷ Behold, I waken the Maday against them, who fabricate not silver; and as for gold, they delight not therein.

²⁸ who says of Koresh my tender, who shalams all my delight: even saying to Yeru Shalem, You, Build! and to the manse, You, Found! ^{\super *}. ^{*found: as in founding a foundation.}

¹¹ polish the arrows; fill the shields: Yah Veh wakens the spirit of the sovereigns of the Maday: for his intrigue is against Babel, to ruin therein; because it is the avengement of Yah Veh - the avengement of his manse.

³⁹ And in your stead rises another sovereigndom of earth and another, a third sovereigndom of copper who dominates over all the earth.

³¹ And Daryavesh the Maday takes the sovereigndom - a son of sixty-two years.

²⁸ And this Dani El prospers in the sovereigndom of Daryavesh; and in the sovereigndom of Koresh the Persian.

⁵ And behold, another live being, a second, like a bear: and it raises itself on its side; with three ribs in its mouth between its teeth: and they say thus to it, Rise, devour much flesh.

²⁰ The ram you see - the master of horns are the sovereigns of Maday and Persia:

⁵ and I lift my eyes and see; and behold, one man enrobed in linen, with loins girded with fine ore of Uphaz:

Then I lift my eyes, and see, and behold, four horns:

And I lift my eyes, and see: and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand:

And I turn and lift my eyes and see; and behold, a flying roll:

⁵ And the angel wording with me comes and says to me, Lift your eyes, and see what this is that goes.

⁹ And I lift my eyes and see, and behold, two women come with the wind in their wings; - wings as the wings of a stork: and they lift the ephah between the earth and between the heavens.

THE FOUR CHARIOTS
And I turn and lift my eyes and see, and behold, four chariots coming from between two mountains; and the mountains are mountains of copper.

¹⁷ His majesty is the firstling of his ox and his horns the horns of a reem: with them he butts the people together to the finality of the earth: and they are the myriads of Ephrayim and they are the thousands of Menash Sheh.

⁷ You know I am not wicked; and there is no escape from your hand.

² lest he tear my soul like a lion - craunching, while there is none to rescue.

²² I beseech, discern this, you who forget Elohah, lest I tear in pieces and there be no one to rescue.

¹³ For he said, By the force of my hand, I worked; and by my wisdom, I discerned: and I turned aside the borders of the people and plundered their treasures; and I brought down the settlers as the mighty: ¹⁴ and my hand found, as a nest, the valuables of the people: and as one gathers abandoned eggs, I gathered all the earth; and no one flapped the wing or gaped the mouth or chirped.

KORESH, THE ANOINTED OF YAH VEH
Thus says Yah Veh to his anointed, to Koresh, whose right I strengthened, to subdue goyim at his face; yes, to loose the loins of sovereigns, in opening, to open the doors at his face; and not shut the portals: ² I go at your face and straighten the esteemed: I break in pieces the gates of copper and cut apart the bars of iron: ³ and I give you the treasures of darkness and hidden treasures of coverts so that you know, I - Yah Veh, who calls you by your name, Elohim of Yisra El. ⁴ For sake of my servant Yaaqov and Yisra El my chosen, I even call you by your name: I give you an honorary degree, though you know me not. ⁵ I - Yah Veh, and there is no one else, there is no Elohim except me: I girded you, though you know me not:

MESSAGE AGAINST BABEL
The word Yah Veh words against Babel and against the land of the Kesediym by the hand of Yirme Yah the prophet. ² Tell you among the goyim and have them hear; and lift an ensign: have them hear; and conceal not: say, Babel is captured, Bel is shamed, Merodach is broken: her idols are shamed; her idols are broken. ³ For from the north a goyim ascends against her who places her land desolate; and no one settles therein: they wander; they depart; - both humanity and animal. ⁴ In those days, and in that time, - an oracle of Yah Veh the sons of Yisra El come - they and the sons of Yah Hudah together coming and weeping: they come and seek Yah Veh their Elohim: ⁵ they ask the way to Siyon with their faces toward, Come; we join ourselves to Yah Veh in an eternal covenant, not forgotten. ⁶ My people became lost flocks their tenders strayed them, they apostatized them on the mountains: going from mountain to hill they forgot their repose. ⁷ All who find them devour them: and their tribulators say, We guilt not! - because they sinned against Yah Veh the habitation of rest of justness; - Yah Veh, the expectation of their fathers. ⁸ Wander from the midst of Babel and come from the land of the Kesediym; and be as the he goats at the face of the flocks. ⁹ For, behold, I waken and against Babel I ascend a congregation of great goyim from the north land: and they line up against her; from thence they capture her: their arrows as of a mighty discerner; no one returns in vain. ¹⁰ And Kesediym becomes a spoil: all who spoil her satiate - an oracle of Yah Veh ¹¹ because you cheer - because you jump for joy O you plunderers of my inheritance, because you grow fat as the heifer at grass and resound as the mighty; ¹² your mother shames mightily; she who birthed you blushes: behold, the backword of the goyim are a wilderness, a parch, and a plain: ¹³ because of the rage of Yah Veh it is not settled and becomes wholly desolate: every one who passes by Babel astonishes and hisses at all her wounds. ¹⁴ Line up against Babel, all around - all you who bend the bow: hand toss at her; spare no arrows: for she sinned against Yah Veh. ¹⁵ Shout against her all around: she gives her hand: her foundations fallen; her walls overthrown: for it is the avengement of Yah Veh: avenge on her; as she worked, work to her: ¹⁶ cut off the seeder from Babel; and he who manipulates the sickle in the time of harvest: at the face of the oppressing sword; every man faces to his people, and every man flees to his own land. ¹⁷ Yisra El is a scattered lamb; the lions drive him away: first the sovereign of Ashshur devours him; and last this Nebukadnets Tsar sovereign of Babel craunches his bones. ¹⁸ So thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth Elohim of Yisra El; Behold, I visit on the sovereign of Babel and his land, as I visited on the sovereign of Ashshur: ¹⁹ and I return Yisra El to his habitation of rest, and he tends on Karmel/orchard and Bashan, and his soul satiates on mount Ephrayim and Gilad. ²⁰ In those days, and in that time, - an oracle of Yah Veh they seek the perversity of Yisra El, and there is none; and the sins of Yah Hudah, and they find them not: for I forgive them whom I leave remaining. ²¹ Ascend against the land of Merathayim, - against it, and against the settlers of Peqod: parch and devote after them - an oracle of Yah Veh and work according to all I misvahed you. ²² A voice of war is in the land, and of great breaking. ²³ How the hammer of the whole earth is cut apart and broken! How Babel becomes a desolation among the goyim! ²⁴ I lay a snare for you, and also capture you, O Babel, and you know not: you are found out and also apprehended because you throttled against Yah Veh. ²⁵ Yah Veh opens his treasury and brings forth the instruments of his rage: for this is the work of Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth in the land of the Kesediym. ²⁶ Come against her from the end; open her granaries: raise her as heaps and devote her that there be no survivors: ²⁷ parch all her bullocks; descend them to the slaughter. Ho to them! for their day is come - the time of their visitation. ²⁸ The voice of them who flee and escape from the land of Babel, to tell in Siyon the avengement of Yah Veh our Elohim - the avengement of his manse. ²⁹ Hearken the archers against Babel all you who bend the bow: encamp against it all around; that there be no escapees: shalam her according to her deeds; work to her according to all she worked: for she is proud against Yah Veh - against the Holy One of Yisra El. ³⁰ So fell her youths in the broadways and sever all her men of war in that day - an oracle of Yah Veh. ³¹ Behold, I am against you, O Arrogance! - an oracle of Adonay Yah Veh Sabaoth for your day is come - to visit you: ³² and the arrogant to falter and fall with no one to raise him: and I kindle a fire in his cities, and it consumes all all around him. ³³ Thus says Yah Veh Sabaoth; The sons of Yisra El and the sons of Yah Hudah are oppressed: and all who capture them hold them; they refuse to send them away. ³⁴ Their Redeemer is strong; Yah Veh Sabaoth is his name: in pleading, he pleads their plea - to rest the land and quake the settlers of Babel. ³⁵ A sword is on the Kesediym - an oracle of Yah Veh and on the settlers of Babel and on her governors and on her wise: ³⁶ a sword is on their lies and they folly; a sword is on her mighty and they dismay; ³⁷ a sword is on their horses and on their chariots and on all the comingled among her; and they become as women: a sword is on her treasures and they are plundered; ³⁸ a parch is on her waters and they dry up; for it is the land of sculptiles and they halal bugaboos: ³⁹ so the desert dwellers settle there with the island howlers; and the daughters of the owls settle therein: and it is neither settled any more in perpetuity; nor tabernacled in from generation to generation. ⁴⁰ As Elohim overthrew Sedom and Amorah and the nearby tabernacles - an oracle of Yah Veh thus neither man settles there, nor any son of humanity sojourns therein. ⁴¹ Behold, a people come from the north even a great goyim, and many sovereigns waken from the flanks of the earth: ⁴² they hold the bow and the dart; they are cruel, and mercy not: their voice roars as the sea and they ride on horses - lined up against you, O daughter of Babel, as a man to the war. ⁴³ The sovereign of Babel hears their report and he slackens his hands: tribulation takes hold of him and pangs as in birthing. ⁴⁴ Behold, he ascends as a lion from the pomp of Yarden to the habitation of rest of the perennial: but I, in a blink, run them away from her. And who is chosen? I appoint over her! For who is like me? And who congregates with me? And who is that tender who stands at my face? ⁴⁵ So hear the counsel Yah Veh counsels against Babel; and the fabrications he fabricates against the land of the Kesediym: surely the lesser of the flock drag them out: surely he desolates their habitation of rest with them. ⁴⁶ At the voice of the apprehending of Babel the earth quakes; and the cry is heard among the goyim.

²¹ because you shove with side and with shoulder and butt all the worn with your horns until you scatter them to the outways.

¹⁹ and from the greatness he gave him, all people, nations and tongues became agitated and terrified in front of him: whom he willed, he severed; and whom he willed, enlivened; and whom he willed, he lifted; and whom he willed, he abased:

³⁰ In that night, Bel Shats Tsar the sovereign of the Kesediym is severed.

⁷ and I see him touch close beside the ram and he embitters against him; and smites the ram and breaks his two horns: and the ram has no force to stand at his face; and he casts him to the earth and tramples him: there is no one to rescue the ram from his hand.

² and now, I tell you the truth: behold, three sovereigns still stand in Persia; and the fourth enriches in greater riches than they all: and by his strength and through his riches he wakens all against the sovereigndom of Yavan: ³ and a mighty sovereign stands who reigns with great reign; and works according to his pleasure:

¹⁶ and he who comes against him works according to his own pleasure; and no one stands at his face: and he stands in the land of splendor, fully finished by his hand.

³⁶ And the sovereign works according to his pleasure; and exalts himself and greatens himself above every el and words marvels against the El of elohim, and prospers until the rage concludes: until that appointed is worked.

⁸ And so be the remnant of Yaaqov among the goyim among many people - as a lion among the animals of the forest - as a whelp among the droves of flocks: who, if he passes through, both tramples and tears; and no one rescues.

³² This head of the image, of fine gold; his breast and his arms, of silver; his inwards and his flanks, of copper;

⁶ After this I see, and behold, another like a leopard: and on its back, four wings of a flyer; the live being also having four heads; and it is given dominion.

⁸ And the buck of the doe goats greatens mightily: and when he is mighty, the great horn breaks; and a vision of four ascends toward the four winds of the heavens:

²¹ and the buck buck, the sovereign of Yavan: and the great horn between his eyes, the first sovereign;

³ and a mighty sovereign stands who reigns with great reign; and works according to his pleasure:

³⁷ and they falter - man to brother as at the face of a sword when none pursues: and you have no resistance at the face of your enemies:

²⁰ and when the men of Ay face behind them, they see, and behold, the smoke of the city ascends to the heavens, and they have no hand to flee - here or there: and the people fleeing to the wilderness turn back against the pursuers.

⁷ After this I see in the night visions, and behold, a fourth live being, terrifying and burly, and exceedingly mighty, with great iron teeth: it devours and pulverizes and tramples the survivors with its feet: and it is changed from all the live beings in front of it - with ten horns.

¹¹ And the sovereign of the south embitters and comes and fights him with the sovereign of the north: and he withstands a great multitude; and the multitude is given into his hand.

²⁰ and I bring them to the soil I oathed to their fathers flowing with milk and honey: and they eat and satiate and fatten and turn to the face of other elohim and serve them and scorn me and break my covenant.

¹⁶ And he strengthens, and exalts his heart to his ruin; and he treasons against Yah Veh his Elohim: and goes into the manse of Yah Veh to incense on the sacrifice altar of incense.

⁴ for Mordekay is great in the house of the sovereign and his fame goes throughout all the jurisdictions; for this man Mordekay walks and greatens.

⁶ I - I have said, You are elohim; - and sons of Elyon, all of you; ⁷ you die as humanity and fall as one of the governors.

²⁷ as a cage full of flyers, thus are their houses full of deceit: so they greaten and enrich;

⁷ I give you to abound by the myriads as the sprout of the field: and you abound and greaten; and you come with ornaments of ornaments: your breasts fashion and your hair sprouts, and you are naked and nude.

⁹ In saying, say you, I am Elohim! - at the face of him who slays you? you are but human, and not El in the hand of him who slaughters you:

³¹ While the utterance is still in the mouth of the sovereign, a voice falls from the heavens, O sovereign Nebukadnets Tsar, to you they are saying; the sovereigndom passes from you;

²⁰ and when he lifted his heart and empowered his spirit in seething he was deposed from the throne of his sovereigndom, and his esteem passed from him

⁵ And I discern, and behold, a buck of the doe goats comes from the dusk on the face of the whole earth, and touches not the earth: and the buck has a horn of vision between his eyes:

²² that, being broken, four stand in its stead - four sovereigndoms from the goyim stand - but not in his force.

³¹ and he apostolizes his angels with a mega voice of a trumpet: and they gather together his select from the four winds - from the extremities of the heavens to their extremities.

²⁷ And then he apostolizes his angels and gathers his select from the four winds - from the extremity of the earth to the extremity of the heavens.

ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR THOUSAND SEALED
And after these I see four angels standing on the four corners of the earth, overpowering the four winds of the earth, so that the wind puffs neither on the earth nor on the sea nor on any tree.

² Beautiful for elevation the joy of the whole earth - mount Siyon on the flanks of the north; the city of the great Sovereign.

²⁴ and his people became mighty fruitbearing - mightier than their tribulators:

¹⁹ And I say, How place I you among the sons and give you a land of desire - a splendid inheritance of the hosts of goyim? And I say, Call me, My father; and turn not away from after me.

⁶ the day I lifted my hand to them, to bring them from the land of Misrayim to a land I explored for them - flowing with milk and honey - the splendor of all lands:

¹⁵ And also, I lifted my hand to them in the wilderness, to not bring them into the land I gave them - flowing with milk and honey - the glory of all lands;

⁸ I am comprehending the horns, and behold, another little horn ascends between them; in front of whom three of the first horns uproot: and behold, in this horn, eyes like the eyes of man, and a mouth uttering greatly.

²⁵ and he wakens his force and his heart against the sovereign of the south with a great valiant; and the sovereign of the south throttles to war with a mighty great and mighty valiant; and he withstands not: for they fabricate fabrications against him: ²⁶ yes, they who feed of his delicacies, break him; and his valiant overflow and many fall pierced. ²⁷ And the hearts of both of these sovereign vilify; and at one table they word lies; and it prospers not: for yet the end is in season. ²⁸ And he returns to his land with great acquisitions and with his heart against the holy covenant; and he works and returns to his own land: ²⁹ he returns in season and comes toward the south; and not as in the former or as in the latter: ³⁰ for the ships of Kittim come against him: so he is dejected and returns; and rages against the holy covenant: thus he works; and returns; and discerns with them concerning them who forsake the holy covenant. ³¹ And arms stand up for him and profane the holies of the stronghold and turn aside the continual; and they give the abomination that desolates. ³² And they who declare wicked the covenant he profanes by soothings: and the people who know their Elohim strengthen and work: ³³ and of the people who comprehend, many discern: yet they falter by the sword and by the flame by captivity and by plunder - days: ³⁴ and in their faltering, are helped with a little help: and many join them with soothings. ³⁵ And they who comprehend, falter in order to refine them and to purge and to whiten them to the time of the end: because it is yet for a season. ³⁶ And the sovereign works according to his pleasure; and exalts himself and greatens himself above every el and words marvels against the El of elohim, and prospers until the rage concludes: until that appointed is worked. ³⁷ He neither discerns the Elohim of his fathers nor the desire of women; nor discerns any elohah: for he greatens himself above all. ³⁸ And in his station he honors the elohah of strongholds - an elohah whom his fathers knew not he honors with gold and silver and with esteemed stones and desires: ³⁹ thus he works in the fortresses of strongholds with a strange elohah - whom he recognizes and abounds with honor: and he has them reign over many and allots the soil for a price. ⁴⁰ And at the time of the end the sovereign of the south butts him: and the sovereign of the north comes and whirls him away with chariots and with cavalry and with many ships; and he comes into the lands and overflows and passes over: ⁴¹ and he enters into the land of splendor and many falter: and these escape from his hand: Edom and Moab and the first of the sons of Ammon: ⁴² and he spreads his hand on the lands: and the land of Misrayim escapes not: ⁴³ and he reigns over the hidden treasures of gold and of silver and over all the desires of Misrayim: with the Lubiym and the Kushiym at his paces. ⁴⁴ And the reports from the rising and from the north terrify him: and he goes with great fury to desolate and to devote many: ⁴⁵ and he plants the tents of his pavilion between the seas in the holy mountain of splendor; and he comes to his end and no one helps him.

¹⁴ and I storm them among all the goyim whom they know not: and thus desolate the land after them, so that one neither passes through nor returns: for they desolate their land of desire.

³ And I see one of his heads as slaughtered to death; and his death plague is cured: and all the earth marvels after the beast. ⁴ And they worship the dragon who gives authority to the beast: and they worship the beast, wording, Who is like to the beast? Who is able to war with him? ⁵
THE BEAST WARS WITH THE HOLY
