And so be it, after the turn of the year, at the time sovereigns go out, Yah Ab drives the valiant of the hosts and ruins the land of the sons of Ammon; and comes and besieges Rabbah: and David settles at Yeru Shalem: and Yah Ab smites Rabbah and demolishes it. ² And David takes the crown off the head of their sovereign and finds the weight is a round of gold; and there are precious stones in it; and they set it on the head of David: and he brings a mighty abounding of spoil from the city: ³ and he brings the people therein and saws them with saws and with slicers of iron and with saws: and thus David works with all the cities of the sons of Ammon: and David and all the people return to Yeru Shalem. ⁴
DAVID WARS WITH THE PELESHETHIY AND THE RAPHAIY
And so be it, after this, war stands at Gezer with the Peleshethiy; and Sibbechay the Hushathiy smites Sippay, birthed of Rapha: and they are subdued. ⁵ And again there is war with the Peleshethiy; and El Hanan the son of Yaur smites Lachmi the brother of Golyath the Gittiy - whose spear timber is like the beam of a weaver. ⁶ And again there is war at Gath; there being a man of measure whose digits are six and six - twenty-four; and he also is birthed of Rapha: ⁷ and he reproaches Yisra El, and Yah Nathan the son of Shimah the brother of David smites him. ⁸ These are birthed to Rapha in Gath; and they fall by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants.

¹¹ For only Og sovereign of Bashan of the remnant of Rephaim survived; behold his bedstead - a bedstead of iron; Is it not in Rabbah of the sons of Ammon? nine cubits the length thereof and four cubits the width thereof, after the cubit of a man.

And so be it, at the turn of the year, at the time angels go forth, David sends Yah Ab and his servants with him and all Yisra El; and they ruin the sons of Ammon and besiege Rabbah: and David settles at Yeru Shalem.

¹⁶ And so be it, Yah Ab guards the city; and he gives Uri Yah to a place where he knows there are valiant men: ¹⁷ and the men of the city go and fight Yah Ab: and there fall of the people of the servants of David; and Uri Yah the Hethiy also dies. ¹⁸ And Yah Ab sends and tells David all the words concerning the war; ¹⁹ and misvahs the angel, saying, When you finish wording the words of the war to the sovereign, ²⁰ and so be it, if the fury of the sovereign ascends, and he says to you, Why approached you so near the city to fight? Know you not that they shoot from the wall? ²¹ Who smote Abi Melech the son of Yerub Besheth? Cast not a woman a slice of an upper millstone on him from the wall, that he died in Tebes? Why approached you the wall? - then you say, Your servant Uri Yah the Hethiy also died. ²² And the angel goes and comes and tells David all Yah Ab sent him for: ²³ and the angel says to David, Surely the men prevail mightily against us and go to us into the field; and we are on them even to the opening of the portal: ²⁴ and the shooters shoot on your servants from off the wall; and some of the servants of the sovereign died and your servant Uri Yah the Hethiy also died. ²⁵ Then David says to the angel, Say thus to Yah Ab, This word is not evil in your eyes; for thus the sword devours one: strengthen your warfare against the city and demolish it: and you strengthen him.

²⁶ And Yah Ab fights Rabbah of the sons of Ammon and captures the sovereigndom city: ²⁷ and Yah Ab sends angels to David and says, I fight Rabbah and capture the city of waters: ²⁸ and now gather the rest of the people and encamp against the city and capture it: lest I capture the city and call it after my name. ²⁹ And David gathers all the people and goes to Rabbah and fights it and captures it: ³⁰ and he takes the crown of their sovereign off his head - the weight - a round of gold with the esteemed stones: and it is on the head of David: and he brings forth the spoil of the city - mightily abounding: ³¹ and he brings the people therein and sets them under saws and under slicers of iron and under axes of iron and passes them through the brickkiln: and thus he works to all the cities of the sons of Ammon: and David and all the people return to Yeru Shalem.

²⁷ And so be it, David comes to Machanayim, and Shobi the son of Nachash of Rabbah of the sons of Ammon and Machir the son of Ammi El of Lo Debar and Barzillay the Giladiy of Rogelim

²² And the prophet comes near the sovereign of Yisra El and says to him, Go! Strengthen! And perceive and see what to work: for at the turn of the year the sovereign of Aram ascends against you.

²⁶ And so be it, at the turn of the year, Ben Hadad musters the Aramiy and ascends to Apheq to war against Yisra El:

THE DEATH OF ELI SHUA
And Eli Shua dies and they entomb him: and the troops of the Moabiy invade the land at the coming in of the year:

¹¹ Then I say, Adonay, until when? And he says, Until the cities waste away without settler, and the houses without humanity, and the soil wastes - a desolation;

¹⁶ Behold, I created the engraver who puffs the coals in the fire and who brings forth an instrument for his work; and I created the ruiner to ruin.

² So behold, days come, - an oracle of Yah Veh that I have a blast of war to be heard in Rabbah of the sons of Ammon; and it becomes a desolate heap: and her daughters burn with fire: and Yisra El posseses them who possessed him, says Yah Veh. ³ Howl, O Heshbon, for Ay is ravaged! Cry, you daughters of Rabbah; gird with saq; chop, and flit by the walls; for their sovereign goes into exile together with his priests and his governors.

²⁰ set a way for the sword to come - to Rabbah of the sons of Ammon and to Yah Hudah in Yeru Shalem, the fortified.

⁵ and I give Rabbah as a habitation of rest for camels and the sons of Ammon as a place of rest for flocks: and you know I - Yah Veh.

¹⁴ and I kindle a fire in the wall of Rabbah to consume the citadels with shouts in the day of war; with a storm in the day of the hurricane:

¹¹ which sovereign David also hallowed to Yah Veh, with the silver and gold he hallowed of all goyim he subdued ¹² - of Aram and of Moab and of the sons of Ammon and of the Peleshethiy and of Amaleq and of the spoil of Hadad Ezer son of Rechob sovereign of Sobah.

¹¹ and sovereign David hallows to Yah Veh, with the silver and the gold he lifts from all the goyim - from Edom and from Moab and from the sons of Ammon and from the Peleshethiy and from Amaleq.

¹⁴ and they embitter their lives with hard service, in morter and in brick and in all service in the field: all their service, wherein they have them serve, is with tyranny.

²³ Now you are cursed, and none of you is cut off from being servants and choppers of timber and bailers of water for the house of my Elohim.

⁶ And the governors of Sukkoth/Brush Arbors say, Are the palms of Zebach and Sal Munna now in your hand - that we give bread to your host? ⁷ And Gidon says, So, Yah Veh gives Zebach and Sal Munna into my hand, and I thresh your flesh with the thorns of the wilderness and with flints.

¹⁶ And he takes the elders of the city and thorns of the wilderness and flints and with them he has the men of Sukkoth/Brush Arbors to know: ¹⁷ and he pulls down the tower of Penu El and slaughters the men of the city.

⁸ your hand finds all your enemies; your right finds them who hate you: ⁹ you set them as a fiery oven at the time of your face: Yah Veh swallows them in his wrath and the fire consumes them:

¹² the sovereign of Eglon, one; the sovereign of Gezer, one;

³ and descends seaward to the border of Yaphletiy - to the border of Beth Horon the nether and to Gezer; and the exits are at the sea.

¹⁵ And again the Peleshethiy war with Yisra El; and David descends with his servants and fights the Peleshethiy: and David flutters:

¹⁸ And so be it, after this, there is war again with the Peleshethiy at Gob: then Sibbechay the Hushathiy smites Saph, who is birthed to Rapha. ¹⁹ And again there is war with the Peleshethiy in Gob, and El Hanan the son of Yaare Oregim a Beth Lechemiy smites Golyath the Gittiy the timber of whose spear is as the beam of a weaver: ²⁰ and again there is war in Gath and there is a man of measure - the digits of his hands are six and the digits of his feet are six - twenty-four in number: and he also is birthed to Rapha: ²¹ and he reproaches Yisra El and Yah Nathan the son of Shimah the brother of David smites him. ²² These four are birthed to Rapha in Gath and fall by the hand of David and by the hand of his servants. ]

²⁹ Sibbechay the Hushathiy, Ilay the Ach Oachiy,

⁴ And a man of double size, named Golyath, of Gath, comes from the camp of the Peleshethiy; his height is six cubits and a span;

⁷ and the timber of his spear is as the beam of a weaver; and the blade of his spear is six hundred shekels of iron: and one bearing a shield goes at his face.

⁹ And the priest says, The sword of Golyath the Peleshethiy, whom you smote in the valley of Elah, behold, it is here veiled in a cloth behind the ephod: if in taking, take: for there is no other here except this. And David says, There is none like that; give me.

¹⁰ and he asked of Yah Veh for him; and gave him hunt and gave him the sword of Golyath the Peleshethiy.

¹⁹ And again there is war with the Peleshethiy in Gob, and El Hanan the son of Yaare Oregim a Beth Lechemiy smites Golyath the Gittiy the timber of whose spear is as the beam of a weaver: ²⁰ and again there is war in Gath and there is a man of measure - the digits of his hands are six and the digits of his feet are six - twenty-four in number: and he also is birthed to Rapha:

⁹ Then Yishay passes Shammah by. And he says, Yah Veh chooses not this.

¹⁰ And the Peleshethiy say, I reproach the ranks of Yisra El this day; give me a man, to fight together.

²⁶ And David says to the men who stand by him, saying, What work you to the man who smites this Peleshethiy and turns aside the reproach from Yisra El? Who is this uncircumcised Peleshethiy, to reproach the ranks of the living Elohim?

³⁶ your servant smote both the lion and the bear: and this uncircumcised Peleshethiy becomes as one of them, seeing he reproaches the ranks of the living Elohim.

¹³ and Yishay births his firstbirthed Eli Ab and Abi Nadab the second and Shimah the third

²³ Whom reproach you? And blaspheme? And against whom exalt you your voice? And lift your eyes on high? Against the Holy One of Yisra El!

¹² and now, give me this mountain, whereof Yah Veh worded in that day; for you heard in that day how the Anaqiy were there and that the cities were great and cut off: if so be, Yah Veh be with me and I dispossessed them as Yah Veh worded.

¹¹ I returned and saw under the sun, neither is the race to the swift nor the war to the mighty nor yet bread to the wise nor yet riches to the discerning nor yet charism to the knowing: for time and coincidence happens to all.

²³ Thus says Yah Veh, O that the wise not halal in his wisdom - the mighty not halal in his might; the rich not halal in his riches:
