¹ The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him, to make known to his servants the things which must shortly come to pass: and signified, sending by his angel to his servant John,

¹⁴ The Lord is a firmament to them that fear him: and his covenant shall be made manifest to them.

²⁸ But there is a God in heaven that revealeth mysteries, who hath shewn to thee, O king Nabuchodonosor, what is to come to pass in the latter times. Thy dream, and the visions of thy head upon thy bed, are these: ²⁹ Thou, O king, didst begin to think in thy bed, what should come to pass hereafter: and he that revealeth mysteries shewed thee what shall come to pass.

¹⁶ And I heard the voice of a man between Ulai: and he called, and said: Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

²¹ As I was yet speaking in prayer, behold the man, Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, flying swiftly, touched me at the time of the evening sacrifice.

²³ From the beginning of thy prayers the word came forth: and I am come to shew it to thee, because thou art a man of desires: therefore, do thou mark the word, and understand the vision.

⁷ For the Lord God doth nothing without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.

³² And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth: and no man receiveth his testimony.

²⁶ Many things I have to speak and to judge of you. But he that sent me, is true: and the things I have heard of him, these same I speak in the world.

⁴⁹ For I have not spoken of myself: but the Father who sent me, he gave me commandment what I should say and what I should speak.

¹⁵ I will not now call you servants: for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth. But I have called you friends. because all things, whatsoever I have heard of my Father, I have made known to you.

⁸ Because the words which thou gavest me, I have given to them. And they have received them and have known in very deed that I came out from thee: and they have believed that thou didst send me.

²⁵ Now to him that is able to establish you, according to my gospel and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery which was kept secret from eternity;

¹² For neither did I receive it of man: nor did I learn it but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

³ How that, according to revelation, the mystery has been made known to me, as I have written above in a few words:

³ Blessed is he that readeth and heareth the words of this prophecy: and keepeth those things which are written in it. For the time is at hand. ⁴ John to the seven churches which are in Asia. Grace be unto you and peace, from him that is and that was and that is to come: and from the seven spirits which are before his throne:

⁹ I, John, your brother and your partner in tribulation and in the kingdom and patience in Christ Jesus, was in the island which is called Patmos, for the word of God and for the testimony of Jesus.

¹⁹ Write therefore the things which thou hast seen: and which are: and which must be done hereafter.

² And I, John, saw the holy city, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

⁶ And he said to me: These words are most faithful and true. And the Lord God of the spirits of the prophets sent his angel to shew his servant the things which must be done shortly.

¹⁶ I, Jesus, have sent my angel, to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the root and stock of David, the bright and morning star.
