² I have said to the Lord, thou art my God, for thou hast no need of my goods.

² Can man be compared with God, even though he were of perfect knowledge? ³ What doth it profit God if thou be just? or what dost thou give him if thy way be unspotted?

⁷ And if thou do justly, what shalt thou give him, or what shall he receive of thy hand? ⁸ Thy wickedness may hurt a man that is like thee: and thy justice may help the son of man.
