⁵ Then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and shalt find the knowledge of God:

¹⁰ Give me wisdom and knowledge that I may come in and go out before thy people: for who can worthily judge this thy people, which is so great? ¹¹ And God said to Solomon: Because this choice hath pleased thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, and wealth, and glory, nor the lives of them that hate thee, nor many days of life: but hast asked wisdom and knowledge, to be able to judge my people, over which I have made thee king, ¹² Wisdom and knowledge are granted to thee: and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and glory, so that none of the kings before thee, nor after thee, shall be like thee.

²⁸ And he said to man: Behold the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom: and to depart from evil, is understanding.

⁷ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Fools despise wisdom and instruction.

¹⁰ The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.

²⁴ But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, for I am the Lord that exercise mercy, and judgment, and justice in the earth: for these things please me, saith the Lord.

⁷ And I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the Lord: and they shall be my people, and I will be their God: because they shall return to me with their whole heart.

³⁴ And they shall teach no more every man his neighbour, and every man his brother, saying: Know the Lord: for all shall know me from the least of them even to the greatest, saith the Lord: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.

⁴⁰ And I will make an everlasting covenant with them, and will not cease to do them good: and I will give my fear in their heart, that they may not revolt from me. ⁴¹ And I will rejoice over them, when I shall do them good: and I will plant them in this land in truth, with my whole heart, and with all my soul.

³ He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. We shall know, and we shall follow on, that we may know the Lord. His going forth is prepared as the morning light, and he will come to us as the early and the latter rain to the earth.

⁷ Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. ⁸ For every one that asketh, receiveth: and he that seeketh, findeth: and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.

²⁷ All things are delivered to me by my Father. And no one knoweth the Son but the Father: neither doth any one know the Father, but the Son, and he to whom it shall please the Son to reveal him.

⁹ And I say to you: Ask, and it shall be given you: seek, and you shall find: knock, and it shall be opened to you. ¹⁰ For every one that asketh receiveth: and he that seeketh findeth: and to him that knocketh it shall be opened: ¹¹ And which of you, if he ask his father bread, will he give him a stone? Or a fish, will he for a fish give him a serpent? ¹² Or if he shall ask an egg, will he reach him a scorpion? ¹³ If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father from heaven give the good Spirit to them that ask him?

³ Now this is eternal life: That they may know thee, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

²⁰ And we know that the Son of God is come. And he hath given us understanding that we may know the true God and may be in his true Son. This is the true God and life eternal.
