¹⁰ If thou lose hope, being weary in the day of distress, thy strength shall be diminished.

¹ And David said in his heart: I shall one day or other fall into the hands of Saul: is it not better for me to flee, and to be saved in the land of the Philistines, that Saul may despair of me, and cease to seek me in all the coasts of Israel? I will flee then out of his hands.

⁵ But now the scourge is come upon thee, and thou faintest: It hath touched thee, and thou art troubled.

²⁸ Knowest thou not, or hast thou not heard? the Lord is the everlasting God, who hath created the ends of the earth: he shall not faint, nor labour, neither is there any searching out of his wisdom. ²⁹ It is he that giveth strength to the weary, and increaseth force and might to them that are not. ³⁰ You shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity. ³¹ But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.

⁴⁶ And lest your hearts faint, and ye fear for the rumour that shall be heard in the land: and a rumour shall come in one year, and after this year another rumour: and iniquity in the land, and ruler upon ruler.

⁸ For his disciples were gone into the city to buy meats.

¹ Therefore seeing we have this ministration, according as we have obtained mercy, we faint not.

¹³ Wherefore I pray you not to faint at my tribulations for you, which is your glory.

³ For think diligently upon him that endured such opposition from sinners against himself that you be not wearied, fainting in your minds. ⁴ For you have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. ⁵ And you have forgotten the consolation which speaketh to you, as unto children, saying: My son, neglect not the discipline of the Lord: neither be thou wearied whilst thou art rebuked by him.

³ And thou hast patience and hast endured for my name and hast not fainted.

¹³ I know where thou dwellest, where the seat of Satan is. And thou holdest fast my name and hast not denied my faith. Even in those days when Antipas was my faithful witness, who was slain among you, where Satan dwelleth.
