⁷ And the remnant of Jacob shall be in the midst of many peoples, as a dew from the Lord, and as drops upon the grass, which waiteth not for man, nor tarrieth for the children of men.

² Let my doctrine gather as the rain, let my speech distil as the dew, as a shower upon the herb, and as drops upon the grass.

³⁶ And Gedeon said to God: If thou wilt save Israel by my hand, as thou hast said,

⁶ He shall come down like rain upon the fleece; and as showers falling gently upon the earth.

³ With thee is the principality in the day of thy strength: in the brightness of the saints: from the womb before the day star I begot thee.

²² Are there any among the graven things of the Gentiles that can send rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou the Lord our God, whom we have looked for? for thou hast made all these things.

²² Yet there shall be left in it some that shall be saved, who shall bring away their sons and daughters: behold they shall come among you, and you shall see their way, and their doings: and you shall be comforted concerning the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, in all things that I have brought upon it.

¹ And he brought me again to the gate of the house, and behold waters issued out from under the threshold of the house toward the east: for the forefront of the house looked toward the east: but the waters came down to the right side of the temple to the south part of the altar.

³ He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. We shall know, and we shall follow on, that we may know the Lord. His going forth is prepared as the morning light, and he will come to us as the early and the latter rain to the earth.

⁸ And the remnant of Jacob shall be among the Gentiles, in the midst of many peoples, as a lion among the beasts of the forests, and as a young lion among the flocks of sheep: who, when he shall go through, and tread down, and take there is none to deliver.

¹³ The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed, and shall lie down, and there shall be none to make them afraid.

⁸ And it shall come to pass in that day, that living waters shall go out from Jerusalem: half of them to the east sea, and half of them to the last sea: they shall be in summer and in winter.

¹⁹ Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.

¹⁵ And the Lord said to him: Go thy way: for this man is to me a vessel of election, to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel.

⁵ Even so then, at this present time also, there is a remnant saved according to the election of grace. ⁶ And if by grace, it is not now by works: otherwise grace is no more grace.

¹² Now if the offence of them be the riches of the world and the diminution of them the riches of the Gentiles: how much more the fulness of them?

¹⁹ By the virtue of signs and wonders, in the power of the Holy Ghost, so that from Jerusalem round about, as far as unto Illyricum, I have replenished the gospel of Christ. ²⁰ And I have so preached this gospel, not where Christ was named, lest I should build upon another man a foundation.

⁶ I have planted, Apollo watered: but God gave the increase.
