⁴ How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the loaves of proposition, which it was not lawful for him to eat, nor for them that were with him, but for the priests only?

³⁰ And thou shalt set upon the table loaves of proposition in my sight always.

³² And Aaron and his sons shall eat it. The loaves also, that are in the basket, they shall eat in the entry of the tabernacle of the testimony, ³³ That it may be an atoning sacrifice, and the hands of the offerers may be sanctified. A stranger shall not eat of them, because they are holy.

³¹ And when he had sanctified them in their vestments, he commanded them, saying: Boil the flesh before the door of the tabernacle, and there eat it. Eat ye also the loaves of consecration, that are laid in the basket, as the Lord commanded me, saying: Aaron and his sons shall eat them.

⁵ Thou shalt take also fine flour, and shalt bake twelve loaves thereof, two tenths shall be in every loaf. ⁶ And thou shalt set them six and six, one against another, upon the most clean table before the Lord. ⁷ And thou shalt put upon them the clearest frankincense, that the bread may be for a memorial of the oblation of the Lord. ⁸ Every sabbath they shall be changed before the Lord: being received of the children of Israel by an everlasting covenant. ⁹ And they shall be Aaron's and his sons', that they may eat them in the holy place: because it is most holy of the sacrifices of the Lord by a perpetual right.
