⁹ And his disciples asked him what this parable might be.

³ He will revive us after two days: on the third day he will raise us up, and we shall live in his sight. We shall know, and we shall follow on, that we may know the Lord. His going forth is prepared as the morning light, and he will come to us as the early and the latter rain to the earth.

¹⁰ And his disciples came and said to him: Why speakest thou to them in parables?

¹⁸ Hear you therefore the parable of the sower.

³⁶ Then having sent away the multitudes, he came into the house, and his disciples came to him, saying: Expound to us the parable of the cockle of the field.

¹⁵ And Peter answering, said to him: Expound to us this parable.

¹⁰ And when he was alone, the twelve that were with him asked him the parable.

³⁴ And without parable he did not speak unto them; but apart, he explained all things to his disciples.

¹⁷ And when he was come into the house from the multitude, his disciples asked him the parable. ¹⁸ And he saith to them: So are you also without knowledge? Understand you not that every thing from without entering into a man cannot defile him:

¹⁵ I will not now call you servants: for the servant knoweth not what his lord doth. But I have called you friends. because all things, whatsoever I have heard of my Father, I have made known to you.
