¹ And it came to pass, that when the multitudes pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Genesareth,

¹¹ And from Sephama the bounds shall go down to Rebla over against the fountain of Daphnis: from thence they shall come eastward to the sea of Cenereth,

¹² And from the days of John the Baptist until now, the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent bear it away.

³⁴ And having passed the water, they came into the country of Genesar.

¹⁶ And passing by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother, casting nets into the sea for they were fishermen. ¹⁷ And Jesus said to them: Come after me; and I will make you to become fishers of men. ¹⁸ And immediately leaving their nets, they followed him. ¹⁹ And going on from thence a little farther, he saw James the son of Zebedee and John his brother, who also were mending their nets in the ship: ²⁰ And forthwith he called them. And leaving their father Zebedee in the ship with his hired men, they followed him.

⁹ And he spoke to his disciples that a small ship should wait on him, because of the multitude, lest they should throng him.

²⁴ And he went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they thronged him.

⁵³ And when they had passed over, they came into the land of Genezareth, and set to the shore.

⁴⁵ And Jesus said: Who is it that touched me? And all denying, Peter and they that were with him said: Master, the multitudes throng and press thee; and dost thou say, who touched me?

¹ And when great multitudes stood about him, so that they trod one upon another, he began to say to his disciples: Beware ye of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy.
