⁴ But these things I have told you, that when the hour shall come, you may remember that I told you of them.

²² Let them come, and tell us all things that are to come: tell us the former things what they were: and we will set our heart upon them and shall know the latter end of them, and tell us the things that are to come. ²³ Shew the things that are to come hereafter, and we shall know that ye are gods. Do ye also good or evil, if you can: and let us speak, and see together.

¹⁵ And Jesus said to them: Can the children of the bridegroom mourn, as long as the bridegroom is with them? But the days will come, when the bridegroom shall be taken away from them, and then they shall fast.

⁷ And going, preach, saying: The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

²⁵ Behold I have told it to you, beforehand.

¹⁹ And Jesus saith to them: Can the children of the marriage fast, as long as the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they cannot fast.

²³ Take you heed therefore: behold, I have foretold you all things.

¹² But before all these things, they will lay their hands on you and persecute you, delivering you up to the synagogues and into prisons, dragging you before kings and governors, for my name's sake. ¹³ And it shall happen unto you for a testimony.

¹⁹ At present I tell you, before it come to pass: that when it shall come to pass, you may believe that I am he.

²⁹ And now I have told you before it come to pass: that when it shall come to pass, you may believe.

¹² While I was with them, I kept them in thy name. Those whom thou gavest me have I kept: and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition: that the scripture may be fulfilled. ¹³ And now I come to thee: and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy filled in themselves.

¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

²³ Save that the Holy Ghost in every city witnesseth to me, saying: That bands and afflictions wait for me at Jerusalem. ²⁴ But I fear none of these things, neither do I count my life more precious than myself, so that I may consummate my course and the ministry of the word which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.

¹⁴ Being assured that the laying away of this my tabernacle is at hand, according as our Lord Jesus Christ also hath signified to me.
