⁶ I wonder that you are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ, unto another gospel.

¹³ They had quickly done, they forgot his works: and they waited not for his counsel.

¹³ And the Lord said: Forasmuch as this people draw near me with their mouth, and with their lips glorify me, but their heart is far from me, and they have feared me with the commandment and doctrines of men:

¹² Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and ye gates thereof, be very desolate, saith the Lord. ¹³ For my people have done two evils. They have forsaken me, the fountain of living water, and have digged to themselves cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

⁶ And he wondered because of their unbelief, and he went through the villages round about teaching.

³⁰ The man answered and said to them: why, herein is a wonderful thing, that you know not from whence he is, and he hath opened my eyes.

¹¹ But by the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, we believe to be saved, in like manner as they also.

² By whom also we have access through faith into this grace wherein we stand: and glory in the hope of the glory of the sons of God.

³ For they, not knowing the justice of God and seeking to establish their own, have not submitted themselves to the justice of God.

¹⁵ For if you have ten thousand instructors in Christ, yet not many fathers. For in Christ Jesus, by the gospel, I have begotten you.

⁴ For if he that cometh preacheth another Christ, whom we have not preached; or if you receive another Spirit, whom you have not received; or another gospel, which you have not received: you might well bear with him.

¹ O senseless Galatians, who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth: before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been set forth, crucified among you? ² This only would I learn of you: Did you receive the Spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith? ³ Are you so foolish that, whereas you began in the Spirit, you would now be made perfect by the flesh? ⁴ Have you suffered so great things in vain? If it be yet in vain. ⁵ He therefore who giveth to you the Spirit and worketh miracles among you: doth he do it by the works of the law or by the hearing of the faith?

⁹ But now, after that you have known God, or rather are known by God: how turn you again to the weak and needy elements which you desire to serve again? ¹⁰ You observe days and months and times, and years. ¹¹ I am afraid of you, lest perhaps I have laboured in vain among you. ¹² Be ye as I, because I also am as you brethren, I beseech you. You have not injured me at all. ¹³ And you know how, through infirmity of the flesh, I preached the gospel to you heretofore: and your temptation in my flesh ¹⁴ You despised not, nor rejected: but received me as an angel of God, even as Christ Jesus. ¹⁵ Where is then your blessedness? For I bear you witness that, if it could be done, you would have plucked out your own eyes and would have given them to me.

⁴ You are made void of Christ, you who are justified in the law: you are fallen from grace.

⁷ You did run well. What hath hindered you, that you should not obey the truth? ⁸ This persuasion is not from him that calleth you.

³ As I desired thee to remain at Ephesus when I went into Macedonia, that thou mightest charge some not to teach otherwise:

¹⁴ Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

⁹ Who hath delivered us and called us by his holy calling, not according to our own works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the times of the world:

¹ Thou therefore, my son, be strong in Christ Jesus:

¹⁵ But according to him that hath called you, who is holy, be you also in all manner of conversation holy:

³ As all things of his divine power which appertain to life and godliness are given us through the knowledge of him who hath called us by his own proper glory and virtue.

²¹ The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.
