¹ Paul, an apostle, not of men, neither by man, but by Jesus Christ and God the Father, who raised him from the dead:

¹⁸ And Jesus coming, spoke to them, saying: All power is given to me in heaven and in earth. ¹⁹ Going therefore, teach ye all nations: baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost. ²⁰ Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you. And behold I am with you all days, even to the consummation of the world.

¹⁹ Then Jesus answered and said to them: Amen, amen, I say unto you, the Son cannot do any thing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doth, these the Son also doth in like manner.

³⁰ I and the Father are one.

²¹ He said therefore to them again: Peace be to you. As the Father hath sent me, I also send you.

¹⁶ Men, brethren, the scripture must needs be fulfilled, which the Holy Ghost spoke before by the mouth of David concerning Judas, who was the leader of them that apprehended Jesus: ¹⁷ Who was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry. ¹⁸ And he indeed hath possessed a field of the reward of iniquity, and being hanged, burst asunder in the midst: and all his bowels gushed out. ¹⁹ And it became known to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem: so that the same field was called in their tongue, Haceldama, that is to say, The field of blood. ²⁰ For it is written in the book of Psalms: Let their habitation become desolate, and let there be none to dwell therein. And his bishopric let another take. ²¹ Wherefore of these men who have companied with us, all the time that the Lord Jesus came in and went out among us, ²² Beginning from the baptism of John, until the day wherein he was taken up from us, one of these must be made a witness with us of his resurrection. ²³ And they appointed two, Joseph, called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias. ²⁴ And praying, they said: Thou, Lord, who knowest the heart of all men, shew whether of these two thou hast chosen, ²⁵ To take the place of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas hath by transgression fallen, that he might go to his own place. ²⁶ And they gave them lot, and the lot fell upon Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.

²⁴ Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the sorrows of hell, as it was impossible that he should be holden by it. ²⁵ For David saith concerning him: I foresaw the Lord before my face: because he is at my right hand, that I may not be moved. ²⁶ For this my heart hath been glad, and my tongue hath rejoiced: moreover my flesh also shall rest in hope. ²⁷ Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell: nor suffer thy Holy One to see corruption. ²⁸ Thou hast made known to me the ways of life: thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. ²⁹ Ye men, brethren, let me freely speak to you of the patriarch David: that he died and was buried; and his sepulchre is with us to this present say. ³⁰ Whereas therefore he was a prophet and knew that God hath sworn to him with an oath, that of the fruit of his loins one should sit upon his throne. ³¹ Foreseeing this, he spoke of the resurrection of Christ. For neither was he left in hell: neither did his flesh see corruption. ³² This Jesus hath God raised again, whereof all we are witnesses.

¹⁵ But the author of life you killed, whom God hath raised from the dead: of which we are witnesses.

⁶ And he, trembling and astonished, said: Lord, what wilt thou have me to do?

¹⁵ And the Lord said to him: Go thy way: for this man is to me a vessel of election, to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. ¹⁶ For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

² And as they were ministering to the Lord and fasting, the Holy Ghost said to them: Separate me Saul and Barnabas, for the work whereunto I have taken them. ³ Then they fasting and praying and imposing their hands upon them, sent them away. ⁴ So they, being sent by the Holy Ghost, went to Seleucia: and from thence they sailed to Cyprus.

¹⁰ And I said: What shall I do, Lord? And the Lord said to me: Arise and go to Damascus; and there it shall be told thee of all things that thou must do.

¹⁴ But he said: The God of our fathers hath preordained thee that thou shouldst know his will and see the Just One and shouldst hear the voice from his mouth. ¹⁵ For thou shalt be his witness to all men of those things which thou hast seen and heard. ¹⁶ And now why tarriest thou? Rise up and be baptized and wash away thy sins, invoking his name. ¹⁷ And it came to pass, when I was come again to Jerusalem and was praying in the temple, that I was in a trance, ¹⁸ And saw him saying unto me: Make haste and get thee quickly out of Jerusalem: because they will not receive thy testimony concerning me. ¹⁹ And I said: Lord, they know that I cast into prison and beat in every synagogue them that believed in thee. ²⁰ And when the blood of Stephen thy witness was shed, I stood by and consented: and kept the garments of them that killed him. ²¹ And he said to me: Go, for unto the Gentiles afar off will I send thee.

¹⁶ But rise up and stand upon thy feet: for to this end have I appeared to thee, that I may make thee a minister and a witness of those things which thou hast seen and of those things wherein I will appear to thee, ¹⁷ Delivering thee from the people and from the nations unto which now I send thee: ¹⁸ To open their eyes, that they may be converted from darkness to light and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and a lot among the saints, by the faith that is in me.

¹ Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle, separated unto the gospel of God.

⁴ Who was predestinated the Son of God in power, according to the spirit of sanctification, by the resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead: ⁵ By whom we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith, in all nations, for his name:

²⁴ But also for us, to whom it shall be reputed, if we believe in him that raised up Jesus Christ, our Lord, from the dead, ²⁵ Who was delivered up for our sins and rose again for our justification.

⁹ For if thou confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in thy heart that God hath raised him up from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

⁹ For to this end Christ died and rose again: that he might be Lord both of the dead and of the living.

¹ Do we begin again to commend ourselves? Or do we need (as some do) epistles of commendation to you, or from you? ² You are our epistle, written in our hearts, which is known and read by all men: ³ Being manifested, that you are the epistle of Christ, ministered by us, and written: not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God: not in tables of stone but in the fleshly tables of the heart.

¹¹ For I give you to understand, brethren, that the gospel which was preached by me is not according to man. ¹² For neither did I receive it of man: nor did I learn it but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

¹⁷ Neither went I to Jerusalem, to the apostles who were before me: but I went into Arabia, and again I returned to Damascus.

¹⁹ And what is the exceeding greatness of his power towards us, who believe according to the operation of the might of his power, ²⁰ Which he wrought in Christ, raising him up from the dead and setting him on his right hand in the heavenly places.

⁸ To me, the least of all the saints, is given this grace, to preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ:

¹¹ Which is according to the gospel of the glory of the blessed God which hath been committed to my trust. ¹² I give him thanks who hath strengthened me, even to Christ Jesus our Lord, for that he hath counted me faithful, putting me in the ministry: ¹³ Who before was a blasphemer and a persecutor and contumelious. But I obtained the mercy of God, because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. ¹⁴ Now the grace of our Lord hath abounded exceedingly with faith and love, which is in Christ Jesus.

³ But hath in due times manifested his word in preaching, which is committed to me according to the commandment of God our Saviour:

²⁰ And may the God of peace, who brought again from the dead the great pastor of the sheep, our Lord Jesus Christ, in the blood of the everlasting testament,

²¹ Who through him are faithful in God who raised him up from the dead and hath given him glory, that your faith and hope might be in God.

⁵ And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the first begotten of the dead and the prince of the kings of the earth, who hath loved us and washed us from our sins in his own blood

¹⁸ And alive, and was dead. And behold I am living for ever and ever and have the keys of death and of hell.

⁸ And to the angel of the church of Smyrna write: These things saith the First and the Last, who was dead and is alive:
