¹⁴ You shall see and your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb, and the hand of the Lord shall be known to his servants, and he shall be angry with his enemies.

²⁰ And all in general: all the kings of the land of Ausitis, and all the kings of the land of the Philistines, and Ascalon, and Gaza, and Accaron, and the remnant of Azotus.

⁵ I made the earth, and the men and the beasts that are upon the face of the earth, by my great power, and by my stretched out arm: and I have given it to whom it seemed good in my eyes.

⁷ And all nations shall serve him, and his son, and his son's son: till the time come for his land and himself: and many nations and great kings shall serve him. ⁸ But the nation and kingdom that will not serve Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon, and whosoever will not bend his neck under the yoke of the king of Babylon: I will visit upon that nation with the sword, and with famine, and with pestilence, saith the Lord: till I consume them by his hand.

⁹ And it shall be to me a name, and a joy, and a praise, and a gladness before all the nations of the earth, that shall hear of all the good things which I will do to them: and they shall fear and be troubled for all the good things, and for all the peace that I will make for them.

⁴ Because of the coming of the day, in which all the Philistines shall be laid waste, and Tyre and Sidon shall be destroyed, with all the rest of their helpers. For the Lord hath wasted the Philistines, the remnant of the isle of Cappadocia.

¹⁹ Stand in the way, and look out, O habitation of Aroer: inquire of him that fleeth: and say to him that hath escaped: What is done?

¹⁵ So I lifted up my hand over them in the desert, not to bring them into the land which I had given them flowing with milk and honey, the best of all lands.

²⁰ And for the service that he hath done me against it: I have given him the land of Egypt, because he hath laboured for me, saith the Lord God.

³⁸ And all places wherein the children of men, and the beasts of the field do dwell: he hath also given the birds of the air into thy hand, and hath put all things under thy power: thou, therefore, art the head of gold.

^{17 (4:14)} This is the decree by the sentence of the watchers, and the word and demand of the holy ones: till the living know, that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men: and he will give it to whomsoever it shall please him, and he will appoint the basest man over it.

^{25 (4:22)} They shall cast thee out from among men, and thy dwelling shall be with cattle, and with wild beasts, and thou shalt eat grass, as an ox, and shalt be wet with the dew of heaven: and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth over the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

^{32 (4:29)} And they shall cast thee out from among men, and thy dwelling shall be with cattle and wild beasts: thou shalt eat grass like an ox, and seven times shall pass over thee, till thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.

⁷ Are not you as the children of the Ethiopians unto me, O children of Israel, saith the Lord? did not I bring up Israel, out of the land of Egypt: and the Philistines out of Cappadocia, and the Syrians out of Cyrene?

¹⁰ For the slaughter, and for the iniquity against thy brother Jacob, confusion shall cover thee, and thou shalt perish for ever. ¹¹ In the day when thou stoodest against him, when strangers carried away his army captive, and foreigners entered into his gates, and cast lots upon Jerusalem: thou also wast as one of them. ¹² But thou shalt not look on in the day of thy brother, in the day of his leaving his country: and thou shalt not rejoice over the children of Juda, in the day of their destruction: and thou shalt not magnify thy mouth in the day of distress. ¹³ Neither shalt thou enter into the gate of my people in the day of their ruin: neither shalt thou also look on in his evils in the day of his calamity: and thou shalt not be sent out against his army in the day of his desolation.

¹⁰ And their prince shall triumph over kings, and princes shall be his laughingstock: and he shall laugh at every strong hold, and shall cast up a mount, and shall take it. ¹¹ Then shall his spirit be changed, and he shall pass, and fall: this is his strength of his god.

⁴ For Gaza shall be destroyed, and Ascalon shall be a desert, they shall cast out Azotus at noonday, and Accaron shall be rooted up.

⁵ Ascalon shall see, and shall fear, and Gaza, and shall be very sorrowful: and Accaron, because her hope is confounded: and the king shall perish from Gaza, and Ascalon shall not be inhabited.

¹⁶ So let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.

¹² All things therefore whatsoever you would that men should do to you, do you also to them. For this is the law and the prophets.

¹² And when you come into the house, salute it, saying: Peace be to this house. ¹³ And if that house be worthy, your peace shall come upon it; but if it be not worthy, your peace shall return to you. ¹⁴ And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words: going forth out of that house or city shake off the dust from your feet. ¹⁵ Amen I say to you, it shall be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.

⁵ Into whatever house you enter, first say: Peace be to this house. ⁶ And if the son of peace be there, your peace shall rest upon him: but if not, it shall return to you.

¹⁰ But into whatsoever city you enter, and they receive you not, going forth into the streets thereof, say: ¹¹ Even the very dust of your city that cleaveth to us, we wipe off against you. Yet know this, that the kingdom of God is at hand. ¹² I say to you, it shall be more tolerable at that day for Sodom than for that city.

¹⁵ And he said to them: Take heed and beware of all covetousness: for a man's life doth not consist in the abundance of things which he possesseth.

³⁵ When I sent you without purse and scrip and shoes, did you want anything?

²⁷ My sheep hear my voice. And I know them: and they follow me.

⁵ And he gave him no inheritance in it: no, not the pace of a foot. But he promised to give it him in possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

²⁶ And hath made of one, all mankind, to dwell upon the whole face of the earth, determining appointed times and the limits of their habitation.

³¹ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who is against us?

¹⁷ For the scripture saith to Pharao: To this purpose have I raised thee, that I may shew my power in thee and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth. ¹⁸ Therefore he hath mercy on whom he will. And whom he will, he hardeneth. ¹⁹ Thou wilt say therefore to me: Why doth he then find fault? For who resisteth his will? ²⁰ O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to him that formed it: Why hast thou made me thus? ²¹ Or hath not the potter power over the clay, of the same lump, to make one vessel unto honour and another unto dishonour? ²² What if God, willing to shew his wrath and to make his power known, endured with much patience vessels of wrath, fitted for destruction, ²³ That he might shew the riches of his glory on the vessels of mercy which he hath prepared unto glory?

¹⁷ To no man rendering evil for evil. Providing good things, not only in the sight of God but also in the sight of all men.

⁵ But with most of them God was not well pleased: for they were overthrown in the desert.

¹⁵ See therefore, brethren, how you walk circumspectly: not as unwise,

¹⁵ That you may be blameless and sincere children of God, without reproof, in the midst of a crooked and perverse generation: among whom you shine as lights in the world.

⁵ Walk with wisdom towards them that are without, redeeming the time.

⁷ For yourselves know how you ought to imitate us. For we were not disorderly among you. ⁸ Neither did we eat any man's bread for nothing: but in labour and in toil we worked night and day, lest we should be chargeable to any of you.

⁸ Harden not your hearts, as in the provocation, in the day of temptation in the desert, ⁹ Where your fathers tempted me, proved and saw my works, ¹⁰ Forty years: for which cause I was offended with this generation, and I said: They always err in heart. And they have not known my ways. ¹¹ As I have sworn in my wrath: If they shall enter into my rest. ¹² Take heed, brethren, lest perhaps there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, to depart from the living God. ¹³ But exhort one another every day, whilst it is called to day, that none of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin. ¹⁴ For we are made partakers of Christ: yet so, if we hold the beginning of his substance firm unto the end. ¹⁵ While it is said: To day, if you shall hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in that provocation. ¹⁶ For some who heard did provoke: but not all that came out of Egypt by Moses. ¹⁷ And with whom was he offended forty years? Was it not with them that sinned, whose carcasses were overthrown in the desert? ¹⁸ And to whom did he swear, that they should not enter into his rest: but to them that were incredulous? ¹⁹ And we see that they could not enter in, because of unbelief.

⁵ I will therefore admonish you, though ye once knew all things, that Jesus, having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, did afterwards destroy them that believed not.

⁹ Behold, I will bring of the synagogue of Satan, who say they are Jews and are not, but do lie. Behold, I will make them to come and adore before thy feet. And they shall know that I have loved thee.
