Philippians 2:1 Cross References - Darby

¹ If then [there be] any comfort in Christ, if any consolation of love, if any fellowship of [the] Spirit, if any bowels and compassions,

¹ {A Song of degrees. Of David.} Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!

¹⁰ And the angel said to them, Fear not, for behold, I announce to you glad tidings of great joy, which shall be to all the people; ¹¹ for to-day a Saviour has been born to you in David`s city, who is Christ [the] Lord.

²⁵ And behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon; and this man was just and pious, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and [the] Holy Spirit was upon him.

¹⁸ I will not leave you orphans, I am coming to you.

²⁷ I leave peace with you; I give *my* peace to you: not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it fear.

¹⁰ If ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love, as I have kept my Father`s commandments and abide in his love. ¹¹ I have spoken these things to you that my joy may be in you, and your joy be full. ¹² This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you.

²² And ye now therefore have grief; but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no one takes from you. ²³ And in that day ye shall demand nothing of me: verily, verily, I say to you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give you. ²⁴ Hitherto ye have asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.

¹³ And now I come to thee. And these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy fulfilled in them.

⁴⁶ And every day, being constantly in the temple with one accord, and breaking bread in [the] house, they received their food with gladness and simplicity of heart,

³² And the heart and soul of the multitude of those that had believed were one, and not one said that anything of what he possessed was his own, but all things were common to them;

¹ Therefore having been justified on the principle of faith, we have peace towards God through our Lord Jesus Christ; ² by whom we have also access by faith into this favour in which we stand, and we boast in hope of the glory of God.

⁵ and hope does not make ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by [the] Holy Spirit which has been given to us:

⁹ But *ye* are not in flesh but in Spirit, if indeed God`s Spirit dwell in you; but if any one has not [the] Spirit of Christ *he* is not of him: ¹⁰ but if Christ be in you, the body is dead on account of sin, but the Spirit life on account of righteousness. ¹¹ But if the Spirit of him that has raised up Jesus from among [the] dead dwell in you, he that has raised up Christ from among [the] dead shall quicken your mortal bodies also on account of his Spirit which dwells in you. ¹² So then, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live according to flesh; ¹³ for if ye live according to flesh, ye are about to die; but if, by the Spirit, ye put to death the deeds of the body, ye shall live: ¹⁴ for as many as are led by [the] Spirit of God, *these* are sons of God. ¹⁵ For ye have not received a spirit of bondage again for fear, but ye have received a spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. ¹⁶ The Spirit itself bears witness with our spirit, that we are children of God.

²⁶ And in like manner the Spirit joins also its help to our weakness; for we do not know what we should pray for as is fitting, but the Spirit itself makes intercession with groanings which cannot be uttered.

¹² And again, Esaias says, There shall be the root of Jesse, and one that arises, to rule over [the] nations: in him shall [the] nations hope. ¹³ Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that ye should abound in hope by [the] power of [the] Holy Spirit.

¹⁶ Do ye not know that ye are [the] temple of God, and [that] the Spirit of God dwells in you?

¹⁹ Do ye not know that your body is [the] temple of the Holy Spirit which [is] in you, which ye have of God; and ye are not your own? ²⁰ for ye have been bought with a price: glorify now then God in your body.

¹³ For also in [the power of] one Spirit *we* have all been baptised into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bondmen or free, and have all been given to drink of one Spirit.

³¹ Daily I die, by your boasting which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord.

⁵ Because, even as the sufferings of the Christ abound towards us, so through the Christ does our encouragement also abound. ⁶ But whether we are in tribulation, [it is] for your encouragement and salvation, wrought in the endurance of the same sufferings which *we* also suffer,

¹⁴ But thanks [be] to God, who always leads us in triumph in the Christ, and makes manifest the odour of his knowledge through us in every place.

¹⁴ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, [be] with you all.

⁶ But because ye are sons, God has sent out the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

²² But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, long-suffering, kindness, goodness, fidelity,

¹³ in whom *ye* also [have trusted], having heard the word of the truth, the glad tidings of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, ye have been sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, ¹⁴ who is [the] earnest of our inheritance to the redemption of the acquired possession to [the] praise of his glory.

¹⁸ For through him we have both access by one Spirit to the Father. ¹⁹ So then ye are no longer strangers and foreigners, but ye are fellow-citizens of the saints, and of the household of God, ²⁰ being built upon the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ himself being the corner-stone, ²¹ in whom all [the] building fitted together increases to a holy temple in the Lord; ²² in whom *ye* also are built together for a habitation of God in [the] Spirit.

⁴ [There is] one body and one Spirit, as ye have been also called in one hope of your calling;

³⁰ And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with which ye have been sealed for [the] day of redemption. ³¹ Let all bitterness, and heat of passion, and wrath, and clamour, and injurious language, be removed from you, with all malice; ³² and be to one another kind, compassionate, forgiving one another, so as God also in Christ has forgiven you.

⁸ For God is my witness how I long after you all in [the] bowels of Christ Jesus.

³ For *we* are the circumcision, who worship by [the] Spirit of God, and boast in Christ Jesus, and do not trust in flesh.

² to the end that their hearts may be encouraged, being united together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to [the] full knowledge of the mystery of God;

¹² Put on therefore, as [the] elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of compassion, kindness, lowliness, meekness, longsuffering;

¹⁶ But our Lord Jesus Christ himself, and our God and Father, who has loved us, and given [us] eternal consolation and good hope by grace, ¹⁷ encourage your hearts, and establish you in every good work and word.

¹⁸ that by two unchangeable things, in which [it was] impossible that God should lie, we might have a strong encouragement, who have fled for refuge to lay hold on the hope set before us,

² elect according to [the] foreknowledge of God [the] Father, by sanctification of [the] Spirit, unto [the] obedience and sprinkling of [the] blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.

⁶ Wherein ye exult, for a little while at present, if needed, put to grief by various trials, ⁷ that the proving of your faith, much more precious than of gold which perishes, though it be proved by fire, be found to praise and glory and honour in [the] revelation of Jesus Christ: ⁸ whom, having not seen, ye love; on whom [though] not now looking, but believing, ye exult with joy unspeakable and filled with [the] glory,

²² Having purified your souls by obedience to the truth to unfeigned brotherly love, love one another out of a pure heart fervently; ²³ being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by [the] living and abiding word of God.

²⁴ And he that keeps his commandments abides in him, and he in him. And hereby we know that he abides in us, by the Spirit which he has given to us.

⁷ Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God. ⁸ He that loves not has not known God; for God is love.

¹² No one has seen God at any time: if we love one another, God abides in us, and his love is perfected in us.

¹⁶ And *we* have known and have believed the love which God has to us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God in him.
