Luke 1:1 Cross References - Darby

¹ Forasmuch as many have undertaken to draw up a relation concerning the matters fully believed among us,

³¹ but these are written that ye may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing ye might have life in his name.

¹ I composed the first discourse, O Theophilus, concerning all things which Jesus began both to do and to teach, ² until that day in which, having by the Holy Spirit charged the apostles whom he had chosen, he was taken up; ³ to whom also he presented himself living, after he had suffered, with many proofs; being seen by them during forty days, and speaking of the things which concern the kingdom of God;

¹⁶ And confessedly the mystery of piety is great. God has been manifested in flesh, has been justified in [the] Spirit, has appeared to angels, has been preached among [the] nations, has been believed on in [the] world, has been received up in glory.

¹⁷ But the Lord stood with [me], and gave me power, that through me the proclamation might be fully made, and all [those of] the nations should hear; and I was delivered out of the lion`s mouth.

¹⁶ For we have not made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, following cleverly imagined fables, but having been eyewitnesses of *his* majesty. ¹⁷ For he received from God [the] Father honour and glory, such a voice being uttered to him by the excellent glory: This is my beloved Son, in whom *I* have found my delight; ¹⁸ and this voice *we* heard uttered from heaven, being with him on the holy mountain. ¹⁹ And we have the prophetic word [made] surer, to which ye do well taking heed (as to a lamp shining in an obscure place) until [the] day dawn and [the] morning star arise in your hearts;
