John 16:1 Cross References - Darby

¹ These things I have spoken unto you that ye may not be offended.

⁶ and blessed is whosoever shall not be offended in me.

²¹ but has no root in himself, but is for a time only; and when tribulation or persecution happens on account of the word, he is immediately offended.

⁵⁷ And they were offended in him. And Jesus said to them, A prophet is not without honour, unless in his country and in his house.

¹⁰ And then will many be offended, and will deliver one another up, and hate one another;

³¹ Then saith Jesus to them, All *ye* shall be offended in me during this night. For it is written, I will smite the shepherd, and the sheep of the flock shall be scattered abroad. ³² But after that I shall be risen, I will go before you to Galilee. ³³ And Peter answering said to him, If all shall be offended in thee, *I* will never be offended.

¹¹ I have spoken these things to you that my joy may be in you, and your joy be full.

¹⁸ If the world hate you, know that it has hated me before you. ¹⁹ If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, on account of this the world hates you. ²⁰ Remember the word which I said unto you, The bondman is not greater than his master. If they have persecuted me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept my word, they will keep also yours. ²¹ But they will do all these things to you on account of my name, because they have not known him that sent me. ²² If I had not come and spoken to them, they had not had sin; but now they have no excuse for their sin. ²³ He that hates me hates also my Father. ²⁴ If I had not done among them the works which no other one has done, they had not had sin; but now they have both seen and hated both me and my Father. ²⁵ But that the word written in their law might be fulfilled, They hated me without a cause. ²⁶ But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send to you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who goes forth from with the Father, *he* shall bear witness concerning me; ²⁷ and ye too bear witness, because ye are with me from [the] beginning.

⁴ But I have spoken these things to you, that when their hour shall have come, ye may remember them, that I have said [them] unto you. But I did not say these things unto you from [the] beginning, because I was with you.

²¹ [It is] right not to eat meat, nor drink wine, nor [do anything] in which thy brother stumbles, or is offended, or is weak.

¹⁰ that ye may judge of and approve the things that are more excellent, in order that ye may be pure and without offence for Christ`s day,

⁸ and a stone of stumbling and rock of offence; [who] stumble at the word, being disobedient to which also they have been appointed.
