³⁶ Simon Peter says to him, Lord, where goest thou? Jesus answered him, Where I go thou canst not follow me now, but thou shalt follow me after.

³³ Children, yet a little while I am with you. Ye shall seek me; and, as I said to the Jews, Where I go ye cannot come, I say to you also now.

² In my Father`s house there are many abodes; were it not so, I had told you: for I go to prepare you a place;

⁴ And ye know where I go, and ye know the way. ⁵ Thomas says to him, Lord, we know not where thou goest, and how can we know the way?

¹⁷ [Some] of his disciples therefore said to one another, What is this he says to us, A little while and ye do not behold me; and again a little while and ye shall see me, and, Because I go away to the Father?

¹⁸ Verily, verily, I say to thee, When thou wast young, thou girdedst thyself, and walkedst where thou desiredst; but when thou shalt be old, thou shalt stretch forth thy hands, and another shall gird thee, and bring thee where thou dost not desire. ¹⁹ But he said this signifying by what death he should glorify God.
