¹ Wilt thou draw out the leviathan with the hook, and press down his tongue with a cord?

⁸ Let them curse it that curse the day, who are ready to rouse Leviathan;

¹⁴ *Thou* didst break in pieces the heads of leviathan, thou gavest him to be meat to those that people the desert.

²⁶ There go the ships; [there] that leviathan, which thou hast formed to play therein.

¹ In that day Jehovah, with his sore and great and strong sword, will visit leviathan the fleeing serpent, and leviathan the crooked serpent; and he will slay the monster that is in the sea.
