¹ And he brought me unto the gate, the gate which looked toward the east.

¹⁹ And the cherubim lifted up their wings, and mounted up from the earth in my sight, when they went out; and the wheels were beside them; and they stood at the door of the east gate of Jehovah`s house; and the glory of the God of Israel was over them above.

⁶ And he came to the gate which looked toward the east, and went up its steps; and he measured the threshold of the gate, one reed broad; and the other threshold one reed broad.

¹⁵ And when he had made an end of measuring the inner house, he brought me forth toward the gate whose front was toward the east, and measured [the enclosure] round about.

⁴ And the glory of Jehovah came into the house by the way of the gate whose front was toward the east.

¹ And he brought me back toward the outer gate of the sanctuary which looked toward the east; and it was shut.

¹ Thus saith the Lord Jehovah: The gate of the inner court that looketh toward the east shall be shut the six working-days; but on the sabbath-day it shall be opened, and on the day of the new moon it shall be opened.
