¹³ But I account it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance,

¹⁴ And Jehovah stirred up the spirit of Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and the spirit of Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and the spirit of all the remnant of the people; and they came and worked at the house of Jehovah of hosts, their God,

¹ For we know that if our earthly tabernacle house be destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. ² For indeed in this we groan, ardently desiring to have put on our house which [is] from heaven; ³ if indeed being also clothed we shall not be found naked. ⁴ For indeed we who are in the tabernacle groan, being burdened; while yet we do not wish to be unclothed, but clothed, that [what is] mortal may be swallowed up by life.

⁸ we are confident, I say, and pleased rather to be absent from the body and present with the Lord.

⁶ For which cause I put thee in mind to rekindle the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

³ Remember prisoners, as bound with [them]; those that are evil-treated, as being yourselves also in [the] body.

¹² Wherefore I will be careful to put you always in mind of these things, although knowing [them] and established in the present truth.

¹⁴ knowing that the putting off of my tabernacle is speedily [to take place], as also our Lord Jesus Christ has manifested to me;

¹ This, a second letter, beloved, I already write to you, in [both] which I stir up, in the way of putting you in remembrance, your pure mind,
