¹² Wherefore I will be careful to put you always in mind of these things, although knowing [them] and established in the present truth.

⁵ The assemblies therefore were confirmed in the faith, and increased in number every day.

¹⁴ But I am persuaded, my brethren, I myself also, concerning you, that yourselves also are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to admonish one another. ¹⁵ But I have written to you the more boldly, [brethren,] in part, as putting you in mind, because of the grace given to me by God,

¹ For the rest, my brethren, rejoice in [the] Lord: to write the same things to you, to me [is] not irksome, and for you safe.

⁷ rooted and built up in him, and assured in the faith, even as ye have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.

⁶ Laying these things before the brethren, thou wilt be a good minister of Christ Jesus, nourished with the words of the faith and of the good teaching which thou hast fully followed up.

⁶ For which cause I put thee in mind to rekindle the gift of God which is in thee by the putting on of my hands.

³² But call to mind the earlier days in which, having been enlightened, ye endured much conflict of sufferings;

⁹ Be not carried away with various and strange doctrines; for [it is] good that the heart be confirmed with grace, not meats; those who have walked in which have not been profited by [them].

¹⁰ But the God of all grace who has called you to his eternal glory in Christ Jesus, when ye have suffered for a little while, himself shall make perfect, stablish, strengthen, ground:

¹² By Silvanus, the faithful brother, as I suppose, I have written to you briefly; exhorting and testifying that this is [the] true grace of God in which ye stand.

¹³ But I account it right, as long as I am in this tabernacle, to stir you up by putting [you] in remembrance,

¹⁵ but I will use diligence, that after my departure ye should have also, at any time, [in your power] to call to mind these things.

¹ This, a second letter, beloved, I already write to you, in [both] which I stir up, in the way of putting you in remembrance, your pure mind,

¹⁷ *Ye* therefore, beloved, knowing [these] things before, take care lest, being led away along with the error of the wicked, ye should fall from your own stedfastness:

²¹ I have not written to you because ye do not know the truth, but because ye know it, and that no lie is of the truth.

² for the truth`s sake which abides in us and shall be with us to eternity. ³ Beloved, using all diligence to write to you of our common salvation, I have been obliged to write to you exhorting [you] to contend earnestly for the faith once delivered to the saints.

⁵ But I would put you in remembrance, you who once knew all things, that the Lord, having saved a people out of [the] land of Egypt, in the second place destroyed those who had not believed.

¹⁷ But *ye*, beloved, remember the words spoken before by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
