¹ The children of Iuda were: Phares, Hesrom, Charmi, Hur & Sobal.

²⁹ But whan he pluckte in his hande agayne, his brother came forth. And she sayde: Wherfore is there a rent mayde for thy sake? And he was called Phares.

¹² The childre of Iuda: Er, Onan, Sela, Phares & Serah. But Er and Onan dyed in the lande of Canaan. The childre of Phares: Hesron and Hamul.

²⁰ But ye children of Iuda in their kyndreds, were, Sela: of whom cometh the kynred of the Selanites. Phares: of whom cometh the kynred of the Pharesites. Serah: of whom cometh ye kynred of ye Serahites. ²¹ The childre of Phares, were Hesron: of whom commeth the kynred of the Hesronites. Hamul: of whom cometh the kynred of the Hamulites.

¹⁸ This is ye generacion of Phares. Phares begat Hesrom.

³ The childre of Iuda: Er, Onan & Sela: these thre were borne vnto him of ye doughter Sua ye Cananitisse. Howbeit ye first sonne of Iuda was wicked before ye LORDE, & therfore he slewe him.

⁵ The childre of Phares are, Hesrom and Hamuel.

⁹ The children which were borne vnto Hesrom, are: Raia, Thalubai.

¹⁸ Caleb the sonne of Hesrom begat Asuba ye woman, & Ierigoth. And these are the same womans childre: Ieser, Sobab, and Ardon.

³ Iudas begat Phares & Zara of Thamar: Phares begat Hesrom: Hesrom begat Aram:
