² Conceal me from the deliberation of evildoers, From the foregathering of the contrivers of lawlessness,

⁶ And saying is Yahweh Elohim to Cain, "Why is your anger hot? And why does your face fall?

²² go, I pray you, prepare yet, and know and see his place where his foot is; who has seen him there? for [one] has said unto me, He is very subtile. ²³ And see and know of all the hiding-places where he hides himself, and you have turned back unto me prepared, and I have gone with you, and it has been, if he is in the land, that I have searched him out through all the thousands of Judah..

² and come upon him, and he weary and feeble-handed, and I have caused him to tremble, and all the people have fled who [are] with him, and I have smitten the king by himself, ³ and I bring back all the people unto you--as the turning back of the whole [is] the man whom you are seeking--all the people are peace. ⁴ And the thing is right in the eyes of Absalom, and in the eyes of all the elders of Israel.

² The kings of the earth are standing by, And the chancellors are gathered together Against Yahweh and against His Anointed, saying,

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ {When he ran away from the face of Absalom his son.{ O Yahweh, how my foes do multiply! Many are those rising against me.

⁵ For He shall seclude me in His booth in the day of evil; He shall conceal me in the secrecy of His tent; He shall safely set me high on a rock.

²⁰ You shall conceal them in the concealment of Your presence From the coalitions of man; You shall seclude them in a booth From the dispute of tongues.

⁶ They are stirring up plots; they are lurking; They are keeping track of my heel prints, As though they expected to take my soul."

² Rescue me from those contriving lawlessness, And from men of bloodshed, save me."

² For a mouth of wickedness and a mouth of deceit They have opened against me; They have spoken against me with a tongue of falsehood; ³ With words of hatred, they have surrounded me, And they fight against me gratuitously."

⁹ Rescue me from my enemies, O Yahweh; To You I look for cover."

² And a man becomes as a hiding place from the wind, and a concealment from the storm, as rillets of water in an arid place, as the shadow of a massive crag in a faint-making desert land."

¹⁹ And I [am] as a trained lamb brought to slaughter, And I have not known That against me they have devised devices:We destroy the tree with its food, and cut him off From the land of the living, And his name is not remembered again."

²³ And You, O Yahweh, You have known, All their counsel against me [is] for death, You do not cover over their iniquity, Nor their sin from before You blot out, And they are made to stumble before You, In the time of Your anger work against them!"

³ Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered in the courtyard of the chief priest, who is termed Caiaphas, ⁴ and they plan that they should be laying hold of Jesus by guile and should be killing Him.

¹⁸ Yet they cried out, all as one multitude, saying, "Away with this one! Yet release for us Bar-Abbas"-" ¹⁹ who was, because of a certain insurrection occurring in the city, and a murder, cast into jail." ²⁰ Now again Pilate shouts to them, willing to release Jesus." ²¹ Yet they retorted, saying, "Crucify, crucify him!" ²² Now for the third time he said to them, "What evil does this man? Not one cause of death did I find in him. Disciplining him then, I will release him." ²³ Yet they importuned with loud voices, requesting that He be crucified. And their voices and the chief priests' prevailed."

¹⁴ who, coming to the chief priests and the elders, say, "With an anathema we anathematize ourselves to taste nothing till we should kill Paul." ¹⁵ Now then, you inform the captain together with the Sanhedrin, so that he may be leading him down to you, as being about to investigate more exactly that which concerns him; yet we, before he draws near, are ready to assassinate him."

³ requesting a favor against him, so that he should send after him to bring him into Jerusalem, making an ambush to assassinate him by the way."
