¹⁴ And now, behold me going to my people. Come now! I shall counsel you what this people shall do to your people in the latter days.

¹ And calling is Jacob to his sons and saying, "Gather, and I will tell you what will meet you in the days hereafter.

¹⁷ I see him yet not now, I regard him yet not near. A star will tread forth from Jacob; a scepter will arise from Israel, and he will transfix both edges of Moab, and the scalp of all the sons of tumult.

⁷ They rallied against the Midian just as Yahweh had instructed Moses, and they killed every male. ⁸ As for the kings of Midian, they killed them along with their men wounded to death:Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur and Reba, five kings of Midian. Also Balaam son of Beor they killed with the sword. ⁹ The sons of Israel captured the women of Midian and their little ones; they plundered all their beasts, all their cattle and all their estate. ¹⁰ All their walled cities with their dwellings and all their nomadic domiciles they burned with fire. ¹¹ They took all the loot and all the booty, including human and beast. ¹² Then they brought the captives and the booty and the loot, to Moses and to Eleazar the priest and to all the congregation of the sons of Israel, at the camp, on the plains of Moab which are along the Jordan across from Jericho. ¹³ Moses and Eleazar the priest and all the princes of the congregation went forth to meet them outside the camp. ¹⁴ Moses was wrathful with the officers of the army, chiefs of the thousands and chiefs of the hundreds, coming back from the militia host of the war. ¹⁵ And Moses said to them:You have kept every female alive? ¹⁶ Behold, they, by the word of Balaam, came to be for the sons of Israel the reason for a withdrawal from and an offense against Yahweh in the matter of Peor, so that the stroke came to be in the congregation of Yahweh. ¹⁷ And now, kill every male among the little ones, and every woman having known a man (at bed with a male), kill. ¹⁸ Yet every little one among the womenfolk who have not known bed with a male keep alive for yourselves.

²² and they are gathered, a gathering imprisoned in a crypt, and closed in an enclosure, and for many days they will be missing."

⁴⁷ And I have turned back [to] the captivity of Moab, In the latter end of the days, An affirmation of Yahweh! Hitherto [is] the judgment of Moab."

³⁹ And it has come to pass, in the latter end of the days, I turn back [to] the captivity of Elam, An affirmation of Yahweh!'"

²⁸ Actually, the Eloah in the heavens reveals secrets, and He makes known to king Nebuchadnezzar what shall be in the latter days. O king, live for the eon! Your dream, even the visions of your head on your bed; it is this:"

¹⁴ Then he said to me, "I come to cause you to understand what will befall your people in the latter days; for the vision is for future days."

⁵ Afterward are the sons of Israel returning, and they seek Yahweh their Elohim, and David their king, and they come in awe to Yahweh and to His goodness, in the latter days."

⁵ My people, remember, I pray, what Balak, king of Moab, counseled, and what Balaam, son of Beor, answered him, from Shittim unto Gilgal, that you may know the righteousness of Yahweh."

¹⁷ And it shall be in the last days,' (God is saying) 'I shall be pouring out from My spirit on all flesh, And your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, And your youths visions shall be seeing, And your elders dreams shall be dreaming,

¹ Now this know, that in the last days perilous periods will be present,

¹⁰ Fear nothing that you are about to be suffering. Lo! the Adversary is about to be casting some of you into jail that you may be tried, and you will be having affliction ten days. Become faithful until death, and I shall be giving you the wreath of life."

¹⁴ But I have a few things against you, that you have there those holding the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to cast a snare before the sons of Israel, to be eating idol sacrifices, and to commit prostitution."
