⁷ And all her carvings shall be pounded to pieces, and all her fees shall be burned with fire. And all her grief fetishes will I make a desolation; for from the fee of a prostitute she got them together, and unto the fee of a prostitute shall they return."

³⁰ I will exterminate your fane heights, cut down your incense stands and bestow your corpses upon the corpses of your idol clods; thus My soul will loathe you.

²¹ As for your sin, which was the calf you had made, I took it, burned it with fire and pounded it, grinding it well until it was pulverized to soil, and I flung its soil into the watercourse that was descending from the mountain.

¹⁸ You shall not bring the fee of a prostitute or the price of a cur into the house of Yahweh your Elohim for any vow offering, for they are an abhorrence to Yahweh your Elohim, indeed both of them.

¹⁴ And he has broken in pieces the standing-pillars, and cuts down the shrines, and fills their place with bones of men;" ¹⁵ and also the altar that [is] in Beth-El, the high place that Jeroboam son of Nebat made, by which he made Israel sin, both that altar and the high place he has broken down, and does burn the high place--he has beat it small to dust, and has burnt the shrine.

¹ And at the completion of all this, gone out have all Israel who are found present to the cities of Judah, and break the standing-pillars, and cut down the shrines, and break down the high places and the altars, out of all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, even to completion, and all the sons of Israel turn back, each to his Possession, to their cities.

⁶ and in the cities of Manasseh, and Ephraim, and Simeon, even unto Naphtali, with their tools, round about. ⁷ And he breaks down the altars and the shrines, and the graven images he has beaten down very small, and all the images he has cut down in all the land of Israel, and turns back to Jerusalem.

⁹ Wherefore, in this will be a propitiatory shelter for the depravity of the house of Jacob, and this is My propitiatory shelter, to take away his sin. When he makes all the stones of the altar as chalk stones shattered, the fetishes of happiness and warmed horn altars will not rise."

¹⁷ for we certainly do everything that has gone out of our mouth, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our heads, in cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem, and--we are satisfied with bread, and we are well, and evil we have not seen." ¹⁸ `And from the time we have ceased to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, we have lacked all, and by sword and by famine we have been consumed,

⁵ For their mother committed prostitution; she who was pregnant with them caused shame. For she had said, I am going after my lovers, who are giving me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, my oil and my drinks."

¹² And I desolate her vine and her fig tree, of which she says, They are a fee for me which my lovers give to me. And I make them a wildwood, and the field life devours them, and the flyer of the heavens and the moving animal of the ground."

⁶ For even this is from Israel; an artificer made it, and no Elohim is it, for backslidings are coming to be by your calf, Samaria."

⁵ The tabernaclers of Samaria will be stirred up for the heifer of Beth-aven, for its people mourn over it, and its dervishes are exulting over it, over its glory, for it is deported from it." ⁶ Moreover, it shall be fetched to Assyria, a present to king Jareb. Ephraim shall take shame, and Israel shall be ashamed because of its counsel."

³ and they handle the lot for My people. They are giving the boy for prostitution, and the girl they sell for wine, and they are drinking it."

³ for, as a result of the wine of the fury of her prostitution have all the nations fallen. And the kings of the earth commit prostitution with her,and the merchants of the earth are rich as a result of her power to indulge."

⁹ And the kings of the earth, who commit prostitution and indulge with her, will be lamenting and grieving over her whenever they may be observing the smoke of her conflagration,

¹² a cargo of gold, and of silver, and of precious stones, and of pearls; and of cambric, and of purple, and of silk, and of scarlet; including also every kind of citron wood; and every ivory utensil, and every utensil of most valuable wood and of copper and of iron and of marble;" ¹³ including also cinnamon, and ginger, and incenses, and attar, and frankincense; and wine, and oil, and flour, and grain; and beasts, and sheep, and made up of horses, and of coaches, and of bodies, including also human souls."
