¹⁷ for Yahweh our Elohim [is] He who is bringing us and our fathers up out of the land of Egypt, out of a house of servants, and who has done before our eyes these great signs, and does keep us in all the way in which we have gone, and among all the peoples through whose midst we passed;"

⁴ You have seen what I did to the Egyptians when I bore you on vultures' wings and brought you to Myself.

¹¹ As a vulture rouses up its nest, hovers over its fledglings, spreads its wings, takes it, bears it on its pinions, ¹² thus Yahweh alone guided him, and with him was no foreign el;"

⁵ And I send Moses and Aaron, and plague Egypt, as I have done in its midst, and afterwards I have brought you out. ⁶ And I bring out your fathers from Egypt, and you go into the sea, and the Egyptians pursue after your fathers, with chariot and with horsemen, to the Red Sea;" ⁷ and they cry unto Yahweh, and He sets thick darkness between you and the Egyptians, and brings on them the sea, and covers them, and your eyes see that which I have done in Egypt; and you dwell in a wilderness many days. ⁸ `And I bring you in unto the land of the Amorite who is dwelling beyond the Jordan, and they fight with you, and I give them into your hand, and you possess their land, and I destroy them out of your presence. <sup>9</sup> `And Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, rises and fights against Israel, and sends and calls for Balaam son of Beor, to revile you, ¹⁰ and I have not been willing to hearken to Balaam, and he does greatly bless you, and I deliver you out of his hand. ¹¹ `And you pass over the Jordan, and come in unto Jericho, and fight against you do the possessors of Jericho--the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Canaanite, and the Hittite, and the Girgashite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite--and I give them into your hand. <sup>12</sup> And I send before you the hornet, and it casts them out from your presence--two kings of the Amorite--not by your sword, nor by your bow. <sup>13</sup> `And I give to you a land for which you have not labored, and cities which you have not built, and you dwell in them; of vineyards and olive-yards which you have not planted you are eating. ¹⁴ `And now, fear you Yahweh, and serve Him, in perfection and in truth, and turn aside the elohims which your fathers served beyond the River, and in Egypt, and serve you Yahweh;"

⁴ And till old age I am He, and till gray hairs shall I be burdened, I made, and I am bearing. And I will be burdened, and make you escape."

⁷ The kindnesses of Yahweh will I mention, the praises of Yahweh, according to all which Yahweh requites us, and the vast good to the house of Israel which He requites them, according to His compassions, and according to His many kindnesses." ⁸ And saying is He, "Yea, My people are they, sons who are not dealing falsely.And He is becoming their Saviour, ⁹ in all their distress He is not a foe, not an agent or a messenger, but His presence saved them. In His love, and by His sparing, He, He redeems them, and He will transport and assist them all the days of the eon." ¹⁰ Yet they rebelled and grieved His holy spirit, and He is turning into their enemy, and He fights against them." ¹¹ Yet He will remember the days of the eon of Moses and His people. Where is He Who brought them up from the sea with the shepherd of His flock? Where is He Who placed within them His holy spirit, ¹² conducting them by the right hand of Moses, His glorious arm rending the water before them, to make for Himself a name eonian, ¹³ conducting them in the submerged chaos? As a horse in the wilderness, they are not stumbling." ¹⁴ As a beast into a valley is descending, the spirit of Yahweh is guiding them to rest. So lead You Your people, to make for Yourself a name of beauty."

⁹ Yet I exterminated the Amorite from your faces, whose loftiness was as the loftiness of cedars, and safeguarded was he as the oaks. I am exterminating his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath." ¹⁰ I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and I am conducting you in the wilderness forty years, to tenant the land of the Amorite."
