⁶ Now this they said to try Him, that they may have something to accuse Him of. Now Jesus, stooping down, wrote down something with a finger in the earth."

⁹ The whelp of a lion is Judah. From the prey, my son, bow will he, recline as a lion. And as a parent lion, who will make him rise?

²² all the men who were seeing My glory and My signs which I did in Egypt and in the wilderness, who probed Me these ten times and they did not hearken to My voice,

¹² Those seeking my soul lay traps, And those seeking after evil to me, they speak woes; The entire day they mumble deceptions." ¹³ Yet I am like a deaf man; I do not hear, And like a mute who does not open his mouth." ¹⁴ So I have become like a man who is not hearing, In whose mouth there are no reproofs."

²³ Yet He answered her not a word. And, approaching, His disciples asked Him, saying, "Dismiss her, for she is crying behind us."

¹ And, approaching, the Pharisees and the Sadducees, trying Him, inquire to have Him exhibit a sign out of heaven to them."

³ And the Pharisees came to Him, trying Him, and saying, "Is it allowed one to dismiss his wife for every cause?

¹⁸ Now Jesus, knowing their wickedness, said, "Why are you trying Me, hypocrites?

³⁵ And one of them, learned in the law, trying Him, inquires,

⁶³ Yet Jesus was silent. And, answering, the chief priest said to Him, "I exorcise you by the living God that you may tell us if you are the Christ, the Son of God."

¹¹ And out came the Pharisees, and they begin discussing with Him, seeking to see from Him a sign from heaven, trying Him."

² And approaching, the Pharisees, trying Him, inquired of Him if it is allowed a husband to dismiss a wife."

¹⁵ May we be giving, or may we not be giving?Now He, having perceived their hypocrisy, said to them, "Why are you trying Me? Bring Me a denarius that I may be perceiving it."

²⁵ And lo! a certain lawyer rose, putting Him on trial, and saying, "Teacher, by doing what should I enjoy the allotment of life eonian?

¹⁶ Yet others, trying Him, sought a sign out of heaven from Him."

⁵³ And at His coming out thence, the scribes and the Pharisees begin to hem Him in dreadfully and to be quizzing Him concerning more things, ⁵⁴ ambushing Him,seeking to pounce upon something out of His mouth, that they shall be accusing Him."

²⁰ And scrutinizing Him, they dispatch eavesdroppers, feigning themselves to be just, that they may get hold of a word of His, so as to give Him up to the sovereignty and the jurisdiction of the governor." ²¹ And they inquire of Him, saying, "Teacher, we are aware that you are saying and teaching correctly, and are not taking the surface view, but of a truth the way of God you are teaching." ²² Is it allowed us to give a tax to Caesar, or not? ²³ Now, considering their craftiness, He said to them, "Why are you trying Me?

² Now early He again came along into the sanctuary, and the entire people came to Him. And, being seated, He taught them."

⁹ Nor yet may we be putting the Lord on trial, according as some of them put Him on trial, and perished by serpents."
