¹ Now before the festival of the Passover, Jesus, being aware that His hour came that He may be proceeding out of this world to the Father, loving His own who are in the world, He loves them to the consummation." ² And at the coming of dinner, the Adversary already having cast into the heart of Judas, son of Simon Iscariot, that he may be giving Him up, ³ Jesus, being aware that the Father has given all into His hands, and that He came out from God and is going away to God, ⁴ is rising from dinner and is laying down His garments, and, getting a cloth, He girds Himself." ⁵ Thereafter He is draining water into the basin, and begins washing the feet of the disciples and wiping them off with the cloth with which He was girded." ⁶ He is coming, then, to Simon Peter. And he is saying to Him, "Lord, Thou art washing my feet!" ⁷ Jesus answered and said to him, "What I am doing you are not aware at present, yet you will know after these things." ⁸ Peter is saying to Him, "Under no circumstances shouldst Thou be washing my feet for the eon!Jesus answered him, "If ever I should not be washing you, you are having no part with Me." ⁹ Simon Peter is saying to Him, "Lord, not my feet only, but the hands also and the head!" ¹⁰ Jesus is saying to him, "He who is bathed has no need, except to wash his feet, but is wholly clean. And you are clean, but not all." ¹¹ For He was aware who is giving Him up. Therefore He said that "Not all of you are clean." ¹² When, then, He washes their feet, and took His garments and leans back again, He said to them, "Do you know what I have done to you? ¹³ You are shouting to Me 'Teacher!' and 'Lord!' and you are saying ideally, for I am." ¹⁴ If, then, I, the Lord and the Teacher, wash your feet, you also ought to be washing one another's feet." ¹⁵ For an example have I given you, that, according as I do to you, you also may be doing." ¹⁶ Verily, verily, I am saying to you, A slave is not greater than his lord, neither is an apostle greater than He Who sends him." ¹⁷ If you are aware of these things, happy are you if you should be doing them!" ¹⁸ Not concerning all of you am I speaking, for I am aware whom I choose, but that the scripture may be fulfilled, 'He who is masticating bread with Me lifts up his heel against Me.'" ¹⁹ Henceforth I am speaking to you before it is occurring, that you should be believing, whenever it may be occurring, that I am." ²⁰ Verily, verily, I am saying to you, whoever is taking anyone I shall be sending, is taking Me; yet he who is taking Me is taking Him Who sends Me." ²¹ These things saying, Jesus was disturbed in spirit, and testifies and said, "Verily, verily, I am saying to you that one of you will be giving Me up." ²² The disciples, then, looked at one another, being perplexed concerning whom He is speaking." ²³ Now one of His disciples, whom Jesus loved, was lying back in the bosom of Jesus." ²⁴ Simon Peter, then, is nodding to this one to ascertain whoever he may be, concerning whom He said it, and is saying to him, "Tell us whoever it is concerning whom He is saying this." ²⁵ That one, then, leaning back thus on the chest of Jesus, is saying to Him, "Lord, who is it? ²⁶ Jesus, then, is answering and saying, "He it is to whom I, dipping in the morsel, shall be handing it.Dipping in the morsel, then, He is taking it and giving it to Judas, son of Simon Iscariot." ²⁷ And after the morsel, then, Satan entered into that man. Jesus, then, is saying to him, "What you are doing, do more quickly." ²⁸ Now no one of those lying back at table knew to what purpose He said this to him. ²⁹ For some supposed, since Judas had the coffer, that Jesus is saying to him, "Buy what we have need of for the festival,or, that he may be giving something to the poor." ³⁰ Getting the morsel, then, that man came out straightway. Now it was night." ³¹ When, then, he came out, Jesus is saying, "Now is the Son of Mankind glorified, and God is glorified in Him." ³² If God is glorified in Him, God also shall be glorifying Him in Himself and shall straightway be glorifying Him." ³³ Little children, still a little time am I with you. You shall be seeking Me, and, according as I said to the Jews that 'Where I am going you can not be coming,' at present I am saying it to you also." ³⁴ A new precept am I giving to you, that you be loving one another; according as I love you, that you also be loving one another." ³⁵ By this all shall be knowing that you are My disciples, if you should be having love for one another." ³⁶ Simon Peter is saying to Him, "Lord, whither art Thou going?Jesus answered him, "Where I am going, you can not follow Me now, yet you shall be following subsequently." ³⁷ Peter is saying to Him, "Lord, wherefore can not I follow Thee at present? My soul for Thy sake will I lay down." ³⁸ Jesus is answering, "Your soul for My sake you will be laying down? Verily, verily, I am saying to you, Under no circumstances should a cock be crowing till you will be renouncing Me thrice."

²² And doing is Noah according to all which Yahweh Elohim instructs him. So does he.

⁷ And coming is a contention between the graziers of Abram's cattle and the graziers of Lot's cattle. And the Canaanite and the Perizzite are then dwelling in the land. ⁸ And saying is Abram to Lot, "There must not, pray, come to be contention between me and you, and between my graziers and your graziers, for mortals, brethren are we.

⁴ Let a little water, pray, be taken, and they will wash your feet. And lean back under the tree.

² And saying is he, "Behold, pray, my lords! Withdraw, pray, to the house of your servant and lodge and wash your feet, and rise early and go on your way.And saying are they, "No, for in the square will we lodge.

¹ And seeing is Jacob that, forsooth, there are victuals in Egypt. And saying is Jacob to his sons, "Why are you staring at one another?

³⁸ And saying is he, "Not go down with you shall my son, for his brother is dead, and he alone remains. And meets him a mishap in the way in which you will go, then down will you bring my gray hairs with affliction to the unseen.

⁴ They fare forth, not far from the city, and Joseph says to him who is over his household, "Rise! Pursue after the mortals and overtake them and say to them, `Why do you repay evil for good? Why did you steal my silver beaker? ⁵ Is not this that from which my lord drinks? And he, when he augurs, auguring is he in it. Evil do you in what you do'. ⁶ And overtaking them is he, and is speaking to them these words. ⁷ And saying are they to him, "Why is my lord speaking words as these? Far be it from your servants to do according to this word. ⁸ Behold! The money which we found in the mouths of our bags we restored to you from the land of Canaan. And how shall we steal from your lord's house silver or gold? ⁹ Whoever of your servants shall be found with it shall die. And, moreover, we will become my lord's servants. ¹⁰ And saying is he, "Even now, according to your words, so be it. The man with whom the beaker shall be found, he becomes my servant, and you shall be innocent. ¹¹ And hasting are they, and letting each man's bag down to the earth, and opening are they each man, his bag. ¹² And searching is he, starting with the greatest and finishing with the small. And found is the beaker in the bag of Benjamin.

⁴ Then you shall bring Aaron and his sons near to the portal of the tent of appointment, and wash them in water.

¹⁶ Thus Moses did according to all that Yahweh had instructed him. So he did.

⁸ The one cleansing himself will rinse his garments and shave off all his hair and wash in water; then he will be clean. Afterward he may come into the camp, yet he will dwell outside his tent seven days.

²⁶ The one sending the hairy goat free as the goat of departure shall rinse his garments and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

²⁸ The one burning them shall rinse his garments and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he may come into the camp.

¹⁵ Any soul who eats a carcass or an animal torn to pieces, whether a native or a sojourner, will rinse his garments and bathe in water and be unclean until the evening; then he will be clean. ¹⁶ Yet if he should not rinse his garments and not bathe his flesh then he will bear his depravity.

¹⁸ You shall not avenge nor shall you be resentful against the sons of your people. You will love your associate as yourself:I am Yahweh.

³⁴ As a native among you shall the sojourner sojourning with you come to be to you, and you will love him as yourself, for sojourners were you in the land of Egypt:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

⁷ Then the priest will rinse his garments and bathe his flesh in water; afterward he may come into the camp; but the priest will be unclean until the evening. ⁸ And the one burning her shall rinse his garments in water and bathe his flesh in water. He too will be unclean until the evening.

¹² He shall purify himself from sin with it on the third day; then on the seventh day he shall be clean. And if he does not purify himself from sin on the third day, then on the seventh day he shall not be clean. ¹³ Anyone touching a dead body, a human soul who died, and who does not purify himself from sin defiles the tabernacle of Yahweh; that soul will be cut off from Israel, for water of impurity was not sprinkled on him. He shall be unclean; his uncleanness will still be in him.

¹⁹ The clean one will spatter on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day and thus expiate him on the seventh day. He will then rinse his garments and bathe in water and will be clean in the evening. ²⁰ If anyone who is unclean does not purify himself from sin, then that soul will be cut off from the midst of the assembly, for the sanctuary of Yahweh has he defiled; water of impurity was not sprinkled on him, he is unclean. ²¹ It will be to them an eonian statute that the one spattering the water of impurity shall also rinse his garments, and the one touching the water of impurity shall be unclean until the evening.

⁴¹ And she rises and bows herself--face to the earth--and said, `Lo, your handmaid [is] for a maid-servant to wash the feet of the servants of my lord..

³ And the poor one has nothing, Except one little ewe-lamb, Which he has bought, and keeps alive, And it grows up with him, And with his sons together; Of his morsel it eats, And from his cup it drinks, And in his bosom it lies, And it is to him as a daughter;"

²⁷ And it comes to pass, at noon, that Elijah plays on them, and said, `Call with a loud voice, for he [is] an elohim, for he is meditating, or pursuing, or on a journey; it may be he is asleep, an does awake..

¹¹ And Jehoshaphat said, `Is there not here a prophet of Yahweh, and we seek Yahweh by him?' And one of the servants of the king of Israel answers and said, `Here [is] Elisha son of Shaphat, who poured water on the hands of Elijah..

¹⁰ and Elisha sends unto him a messenger, saying, `Go, and you have washed seven times in Jordan, and your flesh does turn back to you--and be you clean. <sup>11</sup> And Naaman is wroth, and goes on, and said, `Lo, I said, Unto me he does certainly come out, and has stood and called in the name of Yahweh his Elohim, and waved his hand over the place, and recovered the leper. ¹² Are not Abana and Pharpar, rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? do I not wash in them and I have been clean?' and he turns and goes on in fury. ¹³ And his servants come nigh, and speak unto him, and say, `My father, a great thing had the prophet spoken unto you--do you not do [it]? and surely, when he has said unto you, Wash, and be clean..

²⁷ Blessed be Yahweh Elohim of our fathers, Who has put such as this into the heart of the king to beautify the House of Yahweh in Jerusalem.

¹² and I rise by night, I and a few men with me, and have not declared to a man what my Elohim is giving unto my heart to do for Jerusalem, and there is no beast with me except the beast on which I am riding.

⁵ Then king Xerxes inquired; he asked queen Esther:Who, then, is he? And just where is he who has filled his heart to act in this way?

¹³ They are among those revolting against the light; They neither recognize its ways Nor dwell in its tracks. ¹⁴ When the light is gone the murderer arises; He dispatches the humble and needy one; And in the night he becomes stealthy as a thief. ¹⁵ The eye of the adulterer keeps watch for the gloaming, Saying, No eye can regard me; And he places a concealment over his face.

³ Concerning the saints, who are in the land, They are noble ones; all my delight is in them."

¹¹ Moreover, Your servant is being warned by them; In the keeping of them is a great consequence."

⁶ I shall wash my palms in innocency, And I will go around Your altar, O Yahweh,

⁹ Even the man bidding me peace, in whom I trusted, Who was eating my bread, has magnified his heel against me."

² Rinse me abundantly from my depravity, And from my sin cleanse me."

⁷ Expiate me with the hyssop, and I shall be clean; Rinse me, and I shall be whiter than snow."

⁶ Post a wicked person over him, And let an adversary stand at his right hand."

¹ Happy are those whose way is flawless, Who are walking in the law of Yahweh." ² Happy are those preserving His testimonies; With all their heart, they are seeking after Him." ³ Indeed, they do not contrive iniquity; In His ways they walk." ⁴ You Yourself have enjoined that Your precepts Are to be kept very faithfully. ⁵ O that my ways should be established To keep Your statutes.

⁶³ I am a partner to all who fear You, And to those keeping Your precepts."

¹⁶ For their feet run to evil, And they hasten to shed blood."

¹⁶ For they cannot sleep until they assuredly do evil, And their sleep is snatched away if they have not caused someone to stumble."

¹⁸ Pride goes before a breaking, And a haughty spirit before a stumbling."

²⁶ He who trusts in his own heart is stupid, Yet he who walks in wisdom shall escape from harm."

²³ A man's pride abases him, Yet he who is lowly of spirit shall take firm hold of glory."

²⁰ For there is no righteous man in the earth Who does good and never sins.

³ This is the evil in all that is done under the sun:That one destiny is for all; Moreover the heart of the sons of humanity is full of evil, And ravings are in their heart throughout their life, Yet after it, they are joined to the dead."

⁷ All of you is lovely, my shepherdess, And there is no blemish in you."

¹⁶ Wash yourselves! Purge yourselves! Take away the evil of your actions from in front of My eyes!

⁴ If Yahweh washes the filth of the daughters of Zion, and the blood of Jerusalem be expelled from within it, by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of consumption,

²³ Tell what will arrive hereafter, and we will know that you are elohim. Indeed, you will do good and do evil. Then will we heed and see it together!"

¹⁰ You are My witnesses,averring is Yahweh Elohim, "And My servant whom I have chosen, that you may know and will believe Me, and understand that I am He:Before Me was formed no El. And after Me none shall come."

⁵ Yet I was telling it to you hitherto; ere it is coming, I announced it to you, lest you should say, `My grief fetish did them. And my carving and my molten image instructs them.'"

³ And He is saying to me, "My servant are you, Israel, in whom I am beautifying Myself." ⁴ And I, I say, "For naught do I labor; for chaos and for vanity I exhaust my vigor. Surely, my judgment is with Yahweh. And my wage is with my Elohim." ⁵ And now, thus says Yahweh, Who formed me from the belly, for His servant, to restore Jacob to Him, when Israel is being gathered to Him. Yet I shall be glorified in the eyes of Yahweh, and my Elohim becomes my help." ⁶ And he is saying to me, "A slight thing is it for you to become My servant, to raise up the tribes of Jacob, and the dispersed of Israel to restore. Behold! I give you also for a light of the nations, to become My salvation unto the ends of the earth."

¹⁰ yet Yahweh desires to crush Him, and He causes Him to be wounded. Should you place His soul for a guilt approach, He shall see a seed. He shall lengthen His days, and the desire of Yahweh shall prosper in His hand." ¹¹ From the toil of His soul shall He see light. And He shall be satisfied by His knowledge. My righteous Servant shall justify many, and with their depravities shall He be burdened." ¹² Therefore I will apportion to Him among many, and to the staunch will He apportion the loot, insomuch that He gives up His soul unto death, and with transgressors was counted; and He bore the sin of many, and for transgressors is making intercession."

⁷ Their feet are running to evil, and they are hastening to shed innocent blood. Their devices are devices of lawlessness. Devastation and breaking and violence are in their highways."

¹² And Yahweh said unto me, `You have well seen:for I am watching over My word to do it.'"

²⁴ A wild ass accustomed to a wilderness, In the desire of her soul she has swallowed up wind, Her meeting--who does turn her back? None seeking her do weary themselves, In her month they find her." ²⁵ Withhold your foot from being unshod, And your throat from thirst, And you say, `It is incurable, No, for I have loved strangers, and after them I go.'"

¹⁴ Wash from evil your heart, O Jerusalem, That you may be saved, Till when do you lodge in your heart Thoughts of your strength?

³ From afar Yahweh has appeared to me, With love eonian I have loved you, Therefore I have drawn you [with] kindness."

²⁴ `Lo, the mounts--they have come in to the city to capture it, and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans who are fighting against it, because of the sword, and the famine, and the pestilence; and that which You have spoken has come to pass, and lo, You are seeing;" ²⁵ Yet You have said unto me, O Lord Yahweh, Buy for you the field with money, and cause witnesses to testify--and the city has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans!'"

⁴³ and bought has been the field in this land of which you are saying, A desolation it [is], without man and beast, it has been given into the hand of the Chaldeans."

²⁰ In those days, and at that time, An affirmation of Yahweh, Sought is the iniquity of Israel, and it is not, And the sin of Judah, and it is not found, For I am propitious to those whom I leave!"

⁴ As to your nativity, in the day you wast born, You--your navel has not been cut, And in water you wast not washed for ease, And you have not been salted at all, And you have not been swaddled at all." ⁵ No eye has had pity on you, to do to you any of these, To have compassion on you, And you are cast on the face of the field, With loathing of your person. In the day you have been born--you!" ⁶ And I do pass over by you, And I see you trodden down in your blood, And I say to you in your blood, Live, And I say to you in your blood, Live." ⁷ A myriad--as the shoot of the field I have made you, And you are multiplied, and are great, And come in with an excellent adornment, Breasts have been formed, and your hair has grown--And you, naked and bare!" ⁸ And I pass over by you, and I see you, And lo, your time [is] a time of loves, And I spread My skirt over you, And I cover your nakedness, And I swear to you, and come in to a covenant with you, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, And you do become Mine." ⁹ And I do wash you with water, And I wash away your blood from off you, And I anoint you with perfume."

¹⁹ And the people say unto me, `Do you not declare to us what these [are] to us, that you are doing?'"

²⁴ And Ezekiel has been to you for a type, According to all that he has done you do; In its coming in--you have known that I [am] the Lord Yahweh."

²⁵ And I have sprinkled over you clean water, And you have been clean; From all your uncleannesses, and from all your idols, I do cleanse you."

²⁷ And My Spirit I give in your midst, And I have done this, so that in My statutes you walk, And My judgments you keep, and have done them."

¹⁵ He is responding and saying to Arioch, who has the king's authority, "Why is the edict before the king urgent?Then Arioch made the matter known to Daniel."

⁸ I hear, yet I am not understanding. Hence I am saying, "My lord, what is there after these things?

¹² Happy is he who will tarry and attain to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days!

¹ I am standing on my charge, and I am stationing myself on the siege work, and I am watching to see what He will speak to me, and what I shall reply concerning my correction." ² And Yahweh is answering me and saying, Write the vision, and publish it on tablets, that he may run who is reading it." ³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time; and it will bud at the end, and will not lie dormant. If it be dallying, tarry for it, for it will surely come, and it will not delay."

¹ In that day there shall come to be a fountain opened for the house of David, and for the dwellers of Jerusalem, for sin and for isolation."

¹ Behold Me sending My messenger, and he surfaces the way before Me. And suddenly, the Lord Whom you are seeking is coming to his temple, and the Messenger of the covenant, in Whom you are delighting. Behold! He comes! says Yahweh of hosts."

¹¹ For I, indeed, am baptizing you in water for repentance, yet He Who is coming after me is stronger than I, Whose sandals I am not competent to bear. He will be baptizing you in holy spirit and fire, ¹² Whose winnowing shovel is in His hand, and He will be scouring His threshing floor, and will be gathering His grain into His barn, yet the chaff will He be burning up with unextinguished fire." ¹³ Then Jesus is coming along from Galilee to the Jordan to John to be baptized by him. ¹⁴ Yet John prohibited Him, saying, "I have need to be baptized by Thee, and Thou art coming to me!"

¹² And remit to us our debts, as we also remit those of our debtors."

²¹ Not everyone saying to Me 'Lord! Lord!' will be entering into the kingdom of the heavens, but he who is doing the will of My Father Who is in the heavens." ²² Many will be declaring to Me in that day, 'Lord! Lord! Was it not in Your name that we prophesy, and in Your name cast out demons, and in Your name do many powerful deeds?'"

²⁴ Everyone, then, who is hearing these sayings of Mine and is doing them shall be likened to a prudent man who builds his house on the rock." ²⁵ And the rain descended, and the rivers came, and the winds blow and they lunge at that house, and it does not fall, for it had been founded on the rock."

²⁴ A disciple is not above his teacher, neither a slave above his lord." ²⁵ Sufficient is it for the disciple that he may be becoming as his teacher, and the slave as his lord. If they surname the householder Beezeboul, how much rather those of his household."

³⁶ And the enemies of a man are those of his household.

⁴⁰ He who is receiving you is receiving Me, and he who is receiving Me is receiving Him Who commissions Me." ⁴¹ He who is receiving a prophet in the name of a prophet shall be obtaining a prophet's wages. And he who is receiving a just man in the name of a just man shall be obtaining a just man's wages. ⁴² And whoever should be giving one of these little ones only a cool cup to drink, in the name of a disciple, verily, I am saying to you, by no means should he be losing his wages."

³ said to Him, "Art Thou the coming One, or may we be hoping for a different One?

²⁷ All was given up to Me by My Father. And no one is recognizing the Son except the Father; neither is anyone recognizing the Father except the Son and he to whom the Son should be intending to unveil Him."

²⁹ Lift My yoke upon you and be learning from Me, for meek am I and humble in heart, and you shall be finding rest in your souls,

⁴⁵ Then it is going and taking along with itself seven other spirits, more wicked than itself, and entering, it is dwelling there. And the last state of that man is becoming worse than the first. Thus will it be to this wicked generation also."

⁵⁰ For anyone whoever should be doing the will of My Father Who is in the heavens, he is My brother and sister and mother!"

⁵¹ Do you understand all these things?They are saying to Him, "Yes."

²² And, taking Him to him, Peter begins to rebuke Him, saying, "Propitious be it to Thee, Lord! By no means shall this be for Thee!"

²⁶ Not thus is it to be among you. But whosoever may be wanting to become great among you, let him be your servant, ²⁷ and whoever may be wanting to be foremost among you, let him be your slave, ²⁸ even as the Son of Mankind came, not to be served, but to serve, and to give His soul a ransom for many."

²⁹ Yet he, answering, said, 'I do not want to.' Yet subsequently, regretting it, he went forth."

³⁸ This is the great and foremost precept. ³⁹ Yet the second is like it: 'You shall be loving your associate as yourself.' ⁴⁰ On these two precepts is hanging the whole law and the prophets." ⁴¹ Now, the Pharisees being gathered, Jesus inquires of them,

⁸ Now you may not be called 'Rabbi,' for One is your Teacher, yet you all are brethren." ⁹ And 'father' you should not be calling one of you on the earth, for One is your Father, the heavenly." ¹⁰ Nor yet may you be called preceptors, for One is your Preceptor, the Christ."

²⁵ Lo! I have declared it to you beforehand.

⁴⁰ And, answering, the King shall be declaring to them, 'Verily, I am saying to you, In as much as you do it to one of these, the least of My brethren, you do it to Me.'"

² You are aware that after two days the Passover is coming, and the Son of Mankind is being given up to be crucified." ³ Then the chief priests and the elders of the people were gathered in the courtyard of the chief priest, who is termed Caiaphas, ⁴ and they plan that they should be laying hold of Jesus by guile and should be killing Him. ⁵ Yet they said, "Not in the festival, lest a tumult may be occurring among the people."

²¹ And at their eating, He said, "Verily, I am saying to you that one of you shall be giving Me up." ²² And, sorrowing tremendously each one of them begins to be saying to Him, "It is not I, Lord!" ²³ Now He, answering, said, "He who dips his hand with Me in the dish, he will be giving Me up." ²⁴ The Son of Mankind is indeed going away, according as it is written concerning Him, yet woe to that man through whom the Son of Mankind is being given up! Ideal were it for Him if that man were not born!" ²⁵ Now, answering, Judas, who is giving Him up, said, "It is not I, Rabbi!Jesus is saying to him, "You say it."

³¹ Then Jesus is saying to them, "All of you shall be snared in Me in this night, for it is written, I shall be smiting the shepherd, And scattered shall be the sheep of the flock." ³² Now after My rousing I shall be preceding you into Galilee." ³³ Yet, answering, Peter said to Him, "And if all shall be snared in Thee, I will never be snared!"

³³ Yet, answering, Peter said to Him, "And if all shall be snared in Thee, I will never be snared!" ³⁴ Jesus averred to him, "Verily, I am saying to you that in this night, ere a cock crows, thrice will you be renouncing Me."

³⁸ Then He is saying to them, Sorrow-stricken is My soul to death. Remain here and watch with Me."

⁴⁵ Again, then, He is coming to the disciples and is saying to them, "Are you drowsing furthermore and resting? For lo! near is the hour, and the Son of Mankind is being given up into the hands of sinners-"

⁶⁹ Now Peter sat outside in the courtyard. And one maid came to him, saying, "You also were with Jesus, the Galilean." ⁷⁰ Yet he disowns Him in front of them all, saying, "Not aware am I what you are saying!" ⁷¹ Now, at his coming out into the portal, another one perceived him, and she is saying to them there, "He also was with Jesus, the Nazarene." ⁷² And again he disowns with an oath, saying that "I am not acquainted with the man!" ⁷³ Now, after a little, those standing there, approaching, said to Peter, "Truly you also are of them, for your speech also is making you evident." ⁷⁴ Then he begins to be damning and swearing, saying that "I am not acquainted with the man!" ⁷⁵ And immediately a cock crows. And Peter is reminded of the declaration of Jesus in which He had declared to him that "Ere a cock may crow, thrice will you be renouncing Me.And, coming outside, he laments bitterly."

²⁴ Now Pilate, perceiving that it is benefiting nothing, but rather a tumult is occurring, getting water, washes off his hands in front of the throng, saying, "Innocent am I of the blood of this just man. You will be seeing to it!"

¹⁸ And, approaching, Jesus speaks to them saying, "Given to Me was all authority in heaven and on the earth."

¹¹ Now we are yearning for each one of you to be displaying the same diligence toward the assurance of the expectation until the consummation,

¹⁰ only in foods and drinks and baptizings excelling, and just statutes for the flesh, lying on them unto the period of reformation."
