Job 5:11 Cross References - CLV

¹¹ In order to set the lowly on high, And so the somber may become impregnable in safety,

²⁷ the habitation of Elohim aforetime. And beneath are the arms eonian. He shall drive out the enemy from your presence and shall say:Exterminate him!

⁷ Yahweh dispossesses, and He makes rich, He makes low, yea, He makes high. ⁸ He raises from the dust the poor, From a dunghill He lifts up the needy, To cause [them] to sit with nobles, Yea, a throne of honor He does cause them to inherit, For to Yahweh [are] the fixtures of earth, And He sets on them the habitable world.

¹⁴ Because he is attached to Me, I shall deliver him; I shall make him impregnable, for he knows My Name."

⁴¹ Yet for the needy He makes an impregnable retreat from humiliation, And He establishes his families like a flock."

⁷ Raising the poor from the soil, He exalts the needy from the ash heaps,

²⁴ And known have all trees of the field That I, Yahweh, have made low the high tree, I have set on high the low tree, I have dried up the moist tree, And I have caused the dry tree to flourish, I, Yahweh, have spoken, and have done [it]!'"

⁵² He pulls down potentates from thrones, And exalts the humble." ⁵³ The hungry He fills with good things, And the rich He sends away empty."

²¹ Happy are those hungering now, for you shall be satisfied. Happy are those lamenting now, for you shall be laughing."

⁹ Now let the humble brother be glorying in his exaltation,

⁶ Yet greater is the grace He is giving. Wherefore He is saying, God "the proud is resisting, yet to the humble He is giving grace." ⁷ You may be subject, then, to God, yet withstand the Adversary, and he will be fleeing from you." ⁸ Draw near to God, and He will be drawing near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, double-souled!" ⁹ Be wretched and mourn and lament. Let your laughter be converted into mourning, and joy into dejection." ¹⁰ Be humbled, then, in the Lord's sight, and He shall be exalting you."

³ Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Who, according to His vast mercy, regenerates us into a living expectation, through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from among the dead,

¹⁰ Now the God of all grace, Who calls you into His eonian glory in Christ, while briefly suffering, He will be adjusting, establishing, firming, founding you."
