¹ A human, born of a woman, Is short of days and surfeited with disturbance. ² He comes forth like a blossom and is snipped off; He races away like a shadow and does not stand. ³ Indeed, it is on one like this that You focus Your eyes, And You bring me into judgment before You. ⁴ Who can bring what is clean from the unclean? No one. ⁵ Since his days are decided, The number of his months are set by You, And You have made his statutory time, Which he cannot surpass, ⁶ Be heedless of him, and forbear, Until, like a hireling, he may fill in his days. ⁷ For there is expectation for a tree:If it is cut down, then it may rejuvenate again, And its young shoots may not be halted. ⁸ If its roots grow old in the earth, And its trunk-base seems to die in the soil, ⁹ At the scent of water it shall bud, And it produces harvest branches like a plant. ¹⁰ Yet a master shall die and be laid defeated; A human shall expire, and where is he? ¹¹ As waters depart from the sea, And a stream is drained and dries up, ¹² So a man lies down and shall not rise; Until the heavens fail, they shall not awake, Nor shall they rouse from their sleep. ¹³ O that You would seclude me in the unseen, That You would conceal me until Your anger turns back, That You would set a statutory time for me and then remember me. ¹⁴ If a master dies shall he live again? All the days of my enlistment I shall wait Until my relief comes. ¹⁵ You shall call, and I shall answer You; You shall long for the work of Your hands. ¹⁶ Even if You are now numbering my steps, You shall then no longer observe my sin, ¹⁷ My transgression shall be sealed up in a pouch, And You shall cover over my depravity. ¹⁸ Howbeit, even the mountain falls and decays, And the rock shifts from its place. ¹⁹ Water reduces stones to powder; The flattening rain overflows the soil of the earth; So do You cause the expectation of a mortal to perish. ²⁰ You overpower him permanently, and he goes away; His face alters, and You send him afar. ²¹ His sons may attain glory, yet he does not know it; Or they may be discredited, yet he shall not understand it of them. ²² Yea, his flesh shall be in pain over himself, And his soul shall mourn over his state.

⁹ And saying is Jacob to Pharaoh, "The days of the years of my life's sojourning are a hundred and thirty years. Few and evil come to be the days of the years of my life, and they do not overtake the days of the years of the life of my forefathers in the days of their sojournings.

⁷ But humanity is born to misery, Even as sparks of burning coal shoot aloft to fly.

¹ Has not a mortal a life of enlistment on the earth? And his days, are they not like the days of a hireling?

⁶ My days are fleeter than a weaver's shuttle, And they shall conclude with the limit of the weaving thread.

²⁵ My days are fleeter than a runner; They race away without having seen good.

¹⁴ What is a mortal that he should be purged, Or that one born of a woman should be justified?

⁴ How then can a mortal be righteous before El, And how can one born of woman be pure?

⁵ Behold, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my transient lifetime is as nothing in front of You. Yea, all of humanity, standing up, is altogether a transitory breath. {Interlude{ "

⁵ Behold, I was with depravity when I was travailed in birth, And in sin when my mother conceived me."

¹⁷ Then I hated life, For to me the work was evil that was done under the sun, For the whole is vanity and a grazing on wind."

²³ For all his days his experience is filled with pains and vexation; Even in the night his heart will not lie down; This too, it is vanity."

¹¹ Verily, I am saying to you, Not among those born of women has there been roused a greater than John the baptist. Yet he who is smaller, in the kingdom of the heavens is greater than he."

¹⁵ for sojourners we [are] before You, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow [are] our days on the land, and there is none abiding.

⁹ For we are of yesterday, and we know nothing, For our days on the earth are but a shadow.

²⁵ My days are fleeter than a runner; They race away without having seen good. ²⁶ They pass on like ships of bulrush, Like the vulture that pounces down on its food.

⁵ You storm them away to sleep; They become like the grass in the morning that passes by; ⁶ In the morning it blossoms, but it passes by; By evening it is snipped off and has dried up." ⁷ For we are consumed by Your anger, And by Your fury are we filled with panic." ⁸ You have set our depravities in front of You, Our obscured deeds in the full light of Your face." ⁹ Indeed all our days turn around before Your rage; We finish our years like a mumble.

⁷ The wicked bud like herbage, And all contrivers of lawlessness blossom, But only that they be exterminated until the future,

¹² The righteous one shall bud like a palm tree; Like a cedar in Lebanon, he shall grow great."

¹¹ My days are like the declining shadow, And I, I am drying up like herbage."

¹⁵ As for mortal man, his days are like grass, Like a blossom of the field, so is he blossoming." ¹⁶ For the wind, it passes over him, and he is no more, And his place shall not recognize him any longer."

⁴ A human is like a transitory breath, His days like a passing shadow."

¹³ Yet good shall not come to the wicked one, Nor shall he prolong his days like a shadow, Because there is no fear before Elohim."

⁶ A voice says, "Call!And I say, "What shall I call?All flesh is grass, and all its glory is as the blossom of the field." ⁷ Dry is the grass; decayed is the blossom, for the spirit of Yahweh is reversed in it. Surely, grass are the people." ⁸ Dry is the grass; decayed is the blossom. Yet the word of our Elohim shall be confirmed for the eon."

¹⁰ yet the rich in his humiliation, for, as the flower of grass, shall he pass by." ¹¹ For the sun rises, together with the scorching heat, and withers the grass, and its flower falls off, and the comeliness of its aspect perished. Thus the rich also in his goings shall be caused to fade."

¹⁴ who are not versed in that which is the morrow's, for what is your life? For a vapor are you, which is appearing briefly and thereupon disappearing-"

²⁴ because All flesh is grass, And all its glory is as the flower of grass. Withered is the grass, And the flower falls off..."

¹⁷ What is a mortal that You should make a great thing of him, Or that You should set Your heart on him? ¹⁸ Or You should note him every morning, And You should test him every moment?

¹⁹ As for vigor, behold the Resolute One, And as for judgment, who can issue an appointment to Him? ²⁰ Though I were righteous my mouth would condemn me; Though I were flawless, He would declare me perverse.

³² For He is not a man like me that I should assert to Him:Let us come together for judgment.

²⁵ Would You terrify a leaf being whisked away? And would You pursue dry straw?

²⁷ And that You may place my feet in stocks And keep guard over all my paths; That You may delineate the roots of my feet.

⁴ What is a mortal that You are mindful of him, Or a son of mankind that You are visiting him?

² O do not enter into judgment with Your servant, For no living one at all can be righteous before You."

³ O Yahweh, what is a human that You should acknowledge him, A son of a mortal that You should take account of him?

¹⁹ Now we are aware that, whatever the law is saying, it is speaking to those under the law, that every mouth may be barred, and the entire world may become subject to the just verdict of God,

³ And living is Adam two hundred and thirty years. And begetting is he one in his likeness, according to his image. And calling is he his name Seth.

⁴ How then can a mortal be righteous before El, And how can one born of woman be pure? ⁵ If even the moon does not irradiate, And the stars, they are not pure in His eyes, ⁶ How much less a mortal, that maggot, And a son of humanity, that worm.

⁵ You storm them away to sleep; They become like the grass in the morning that passes by;

³⁵ And answering, the messenger said to her, "Holy spirit shall be coming on you, and the power of the Most High shall be overshadowing you; wherefore also the holy One Who is being generated shall be called the Son of God."

⁶ That which is begotten by the flesh is flesh, and that which is begotten by the spirit is spirit."

¹² Therefore, even as through one man sin entered into the world, and through sin death, and thus death passed through into all mankind, on which all sinned -"

⁸ Now those who are in flesh are not able to please God. ⁹ Yet you are not in flesh, but in spirit, if so be that God's spirit is making its home in you. Now if anyone has not Christ's spirit, this one is not His."

³ (among whom we also all behaved ourselves once in the lusts of our flesh, doing the will of the flesh and of the comprehension, and were, in our nature, children of indignation, even as the rest),

¹⁰ In Whose hand is every living soul And the spirit in all flesh of man.

¹⁴ If a master dies shall he live again? All the days of my enlistment I shall wait Until my relief comes.

²¹ For what is his interest in his house after he is gone, When the number of his months have run out?

¹³ Yet He is One, and who can turn Him back? What His soul has yearned for He shall do. ¹⁴ For He shall accomplish what is marked out for me, And many other plans are with Him like these.

⁴ Acquaint me, O Yahweh, with my end And the measure of my days--what it is. Do let me realize how quickly my leaving off can be."

⁹ You placed a boundary that they would never pass; They shall never return to cover the earth.

²⁹ You conceal Your face; they are filled with panic. You gather away their spirit; they breathe their last And return to their soil.

³⁵ All abiding on the earth are reckoned as naught:According to His will is He doing in the army of the heavens and with those abiding on the earth. And no one will actually clap with his hands and say to Him, "What doest Thou?

²⁶ and this is the interpretation of the matter:MNA, an accounting has the Eloah made of your kingdom and He balances it;"

³⁰ In the same night Belshazzar is despatched, the king of the Chaldeans. Thus the interpretation comes on Belshazzar the king:The kingdom is taken away from the Chaldeans and given to the Medes and Persians."

²⁴ Seventy sevens are segregated for your people and for your holy city:To detain transgression, to cause sin to end, to make a propitiatory shelter for depravity; to bring the righteousness of the eons, to seal the vision and the prophet, to anoint the holy of holies."

³⁶ Yet doing is the king as is acceptable to himself:He will exalt and magnify himself over every el, against the El of elim will he speak marvelous things and prosper till the menace is concluded; for that which is decided shall be done."

²⁰ Yet God said to him, 'Imprudent one! In this night your soul are they demanding from you. Now, what you make ready, whose will it be?'"

²⁶ Besides, He makes out of one every nation of mankind, to be dwelling on all the surface of the earth, specifying the setting of the seasons and the bounds of their dwelling, for them to be seeking God, if, consequently,

²⁷ And, in as much as it is reserved to the men to be dying once, yet after this a judging,

¹⁸ and the Living One: and I became dead, and lo! living am I for the eons of the eons. (Amen!) And I have the keys of death and of the unseen."

⁷ And to the messenger of the ecclesia in Philadelphia write: "Now this is saying the True, the Holy One, Who has the key of David, and Who is opening and no one shall be locking, and locking and no one shall be opening:"

¹ Has not a mortal a life of enlistment on the earth? And his days, are they not like the days of a hireling? ² Like a servant who is gasping for shade, And like a hireling who is expecting his wages,

¹⁶ I reject this; I would not live for the eon; Leave off from me, for my days are vanity.

¹⁹ How long shall You not heed me, Or not let me relax even until I swallow my saliva?

²⁰ Are not the days of my transient lifetime few? Set away from me that I may smile a little,

¹³ Take Your probing heed from me that I may smile, Ere I shall go away and be no more. {Permanent{ "

¹ For like is the kingdom of the heavens to a man, a householder, who came out at the same time with the morning to hire workers for his vineyard." ² Now, agreeing with the workers for a denarius a day, he dispatches them into his vineyard." ³ And, coming out about the third hour, he perceived others standing in the market, idle." ⁴ And to those he said, 'You also go into my vineyard, and whatsoever may be just I shall be giving you.' Now they came away." ⁵ Now, again coming out about the sixth and ninth hour, he does similarly." ⁶ Now, about the eleventh, coming out, he found others standing. And he is saying to them, 'Why stand you here the whole day idle?'" ⁷ They are saying to him that 'No one hires us.' He is saying to them, 'You also go into the vineyard.'" ⁸ Now, evening coming on, the lord of the vineyard is saying to his manager, 'Call the workers and pay them the wages, beginning from the last, to the first.'"

¹⁰ He breaks me down round about, so that I go away, And He uproots my expectation like a tree.

¹ And a Twig shall fare forth from the set slip of Jesse, and a Scion from his roots shall be fruitful."

⁶ Those coming to take root, will be Jacob, and those blossoming and budding, will be Israel, and they fill the face of the habitance with produce."

¹⁵ But the stump with its roots leave in the earth clamped with a band of iron and copper. In the verdure of the field with the night mist of the heavens shall he be streaked. With the animals shall be his portion:The herbage of the earth.

²³ And seeing that the king perceived a holy rouser alighting from the heavens and saying, `Slash down the oak and harm it, but the stump with its roots leave in the earth clamped with a band of iron and copper; in the verdure of the field with the night mist of the heavens shall he be streaked; with the animals of the field shall be his portion till seven seasons shall pass on over him'--" ²⁴ This is its interpretation, O king:It is a sentence of severance, inflicted by the Supreme, that reaches to my lord, the king;" ²⁵ for they shall shove you from mortals, and with the animals of the field is to be your abode, and herbage will they feed to you, as oxen, and with the night mist of the heavens will you be streaked; thus seven seasons shall pass on over you till you shall know that the Supreme is in authority in the kingdom of mortals, and that to whom He is willing He is giving it."

¹⁹ Live shall your death-doomed! Their carcasses shall rise! Awake and jubilate, tabernaclers of the soil! For a night mist of lights is your night mist. And the land is causing the healers to fall."

²⁴ Verily, verily, I am saying to you, If a kernel of grain, falling into the earth, should not be dying, it is remaining alone, yet if it should be dying, it is bringing forth much fruit."

³⁶ Imprudent one! What you are sowing is not being vivified if it should not be dying.

³ and you have said:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:The great eagle, great-winged, long-pinioned, Full of feathers, that has diverse colors, Has come in unto Lebanon, And it takes the foliage of the cedar, ⁴ The top of its tender twigs it has cropped, And it brings it in to the land of Canaan. In a city of merchants it has placed it." ⁵ And it takes of the seed of the land, And does put it in a field of seed, To take by many waters, In a conspicuous place it has set it." ⁶ And it springs up, and becomes a spreading vine, humble of stature, To turn its thin shoots toward itself, And its roots are under it, And it becomes a vine, and makes boughs, And sends forth beauteous branches." ⁷ And there is another great eagle, Great-winged, and abounding with feathers, And lo, this vine has bent its roots toward him, And its thin shoots it has sent out toward him, To water it from the furrows of its planting, ⁸ On a good field, by many waters, it is planted, To make branches, and to bear fruit, To be for an goodly vine." ⁹ Say:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:It prospers--its roots does he not draw out, And its fruit cut off, and it is withered? [In] all the leaves of its springing it withers, And not by great strength, and by a numerous people, To lift it up by its roots." ¹⁰ And lo, the planted thing--does it prosper? When come against it does the east wind, Does it not utterly wither? On the furrows of its springing it withers.'"

²² Thus said the Lord Yahweh:I have taken of the foliage of the high cedar, And I have set [it], From the top of its tender shoots a tender one I crop, And I--I have planted [it] on a mountain high and lofty." ²³ In a mountain--the high place of Israel, I plant it, And it has borne boughs, and yielded fruit, And become a goodly cedar, And dwelt under it have all birds of every wing, In the shade of its thin shoots they dwell." ²⁴ And known have all trees of the field That I, Yahweh, have made low the high tree, I have set on high the low tree, I have dried up the moist tree, And I have caused the dry tree to flourish, I, Yahweh, have spoken, and have done [it]!'"

¹⁰ Your mother [is] as a vine in your blood by waters planted, Fruitful and full of boughs it has been, Because of many waters."

¹⁷ Now if some of the boughs are broken out, yet you, being a wild olive, are grafted among them, and became a joint participant of the root and fatness of the olive, ¹⁸ be not vaunting, you are not bearing the root, but the root you." ¹⁹ You will be declaring, then, "Boughs are broken out that I may be grafted in." ²⁰ Ideally! By unbelief are they broken out, yet you stand in faith. Be not haughty, but fear." ²¹ For if God spares not the natural boughs, neither will He be sparing you!" ²² Perceive, then, the kindness and severity of God! On those, indeed, who are falling, severity, yet on you, God's kindness, if you should be persisting in the kindness: else you also will be hewn out." ²³ Now they also, if they should not be persisting in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again." ²⁴ For if you were hewn out of an olive wild by nature, and, beside nature, are grafted into a cultivated olive tree, how much rather shall these, who are in accord with nature, be grafted into their own olive tree!"

³³ And finishing is Jacob instructing his sons, and gathering is he his feet into the couch and is expiring, and is being gathered to his people.

¹¹ Why did I not die from the womb, From the belly come forth and expire?

⁷ Remember that my life is a wind; My eye shall not turn back again to see good. ⁸ The eye of Him with sight shall not regard me; Your eyes will look for me, but I will not be there. ⁹ As a cloud vanishes and goes away, So one descending to the unseen shall not ascend. ¹⁰ He shall not return any more to his house, And his place shall not recognize him again.

¹⁸ Then why did You bring me forth from the womb? I would have expired, and no eye would have seen me.

²⁰ Yet the eyes of the wicked shall be exhausted, And flight to safety will perish for them And their expectation become their expiring soul.

¹² So a man lies down and shall not rise; Until the heavens fail, they shall not awake, Nor shall they rouse from their sleep.

¹³ Since I expect the unseen as my house, I will strew out my berth in darkness;" ¹⁴ I will call out to the grave, My father are you, To the worm, My mother and my sister. ¹⁵ Where indeed is my expectation? And my good hope, who shall regard it? ¹⁶ Shall they descend by my side to the unseen, Or will our rest be together in the soil?

²⁶ And behind my skin I will stand erect, And from my flesh I shall perceive Eloah,

³² The wicked man is tripped up by his evil, Yet the righteous one takes refuge in his integrity."

⁵⁰ Now Jesus, again crying with a loud voice, lets out the spirit."

²² Now the poor man came to die and he is carried away by the messengers into Abraham's bosom. Now the rich man also died, and was entombed." ²³ And in the unseen, lifting up his eyes, existing in torments, he is seeing Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom."

¹⁰ Now, instantly, she falls at his feet and gives up the soul. Now entering, the youths found her dead, and carrying her out, they entomb her with her husband."

¹⁵ My brothers, they are treacherous like a watercourse, Like a channel of watercourses that overflow, ¹⁶ That become somber because of ice, And snow obscures them. ¹⁷ In the season when they thaw they are effaced; When it is warm they are extinguished from their place. ¹⁸ Caravans are sent aside from their way; They ascend into the wasteland and perish.

⁵ And absorbed are the waters from the upper sea, and the stream shall be drained and be dry."

¹⁸ Why has my pain been perpetual? And my wound incurable? It has refused to be healed, You are surely to me as a failing stream, Waters not stedfast."

¹³ For now I would lie and be quiet; I would sleep; then there would be rest for me,

²¹ Why do You not bear my transgression And pass over my depravity? For now I shall lie in the soil, And You would seek me early, but I will not be there.

²¹ Ere I go away and not return, To a country of darkness and the blackest shadow, ²² A country of such faintness as deepest gloom, Of blackest shadow without order, And which shines like deepest gloom.

²⁵ Yet as for me, I know my Redeemer is living, And after this He shall arise on the soil;" ²⁶ And behind my skin I will stand erect, And from my flesh I shall perceive Eloah, ²⁷ Whom I shall perceive for myself, And my own eyes will see, Him and not an alien. My innermost being is exhausted in my bosom,

²³ I know that You are turning me back to death, To that house appointed for all the living.

²⁶ They shall perish, yet You shall stand. All of them shall decay like a cloak; You shall change them like clothing, and they shall pass by."

¹⁹ For the destiny of the sons of humanity And the destiny of the beast, It is one destiny for them; As death is for this one, so is death for that one, And one spirit is for all; There is no advantage for the human over the beast, For the whole is vanity." ²⁰ All are going to one place; All have come from the soil, and all return to the soil." ²¹ Who is knowing about the spirit of the sons of humanity, Whether it is ascending above, And the spirit of the beast, whether it is descending below to the earth?

⁵ Moreover, one fears lofty heights, And catastrophes are on the road, When the almond tree flowers, And the grasshopper is burdensome, And the caperberry's effects are annulled, When man goes to his eonian home, And those lamenting turn about in the street;"

⁶ Lift your eyes to the heavens, and look to the earth beneath. For the heavens, as with smoke, are full, and the earth, as a garment, is decaying, and its dwellers likewise, as a louse, are dying. Yet My salvation for the eon shall come. And My righteousness shall not be dismayed."

¹⁷ For, behold Me creating new heavens and a new earth, and the former shall not be remembered, nor shall they come upon the heart."

²² For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make, will stand before Me,averring is Yahweh, "So stand shall your seed and your name."

² From those sleeping in the soil of the ground many shall awake, these to eonian life and these to reproach for eonian repulsion."

³⁵ Heaven and earth shall be passing by, yet My words may by no means be passing by."

¹¹ He said these things, and after this He is saying to them, "Lazarus, our friend, has found repose, but I am going that I should be awakening him out of sleep." ¹² The disciples, then, said to Him, "Lord, if he has repose, he shall be saved." ¹³ Now Jesus had made a declaration concerning his death, yet they suppose that He is saying it concerning the repose of sleep."

²¹ Whom heaven must indeed receive until the times of restoration of all which God speaks through the mouth of His holy prophets who are from the eon.

²⁰ For to vanity was the creation subjected, not voluntarily, but because of Him Who subjects it, in expectation"

¹⁴ Wherefore He is saying, 'Rouse! O drowsy one, and rise from among the dead, and Christ shall dawn upon you!'"

¹⁴ For, if we are believing that Jesus died and rose, thus also, those who are put to repose, will God, through Jesus, lead forth together with Him." ¹⁵ For this we are saying to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who are surviving to the presence of the Lord, should by no means outstrip those who are put to repose,

⁷ Yet the heavens now, and the earth, by the same word, are stored with fire, being kept for the day of the judging and destruction of irreverent men."

¹⁰ Now the day of the Lord will be arriving as a thief, in which the heavens shall be passing by with a booming noise, yet the elements shall be dissolved by combustion, and the earth and the works in it shall be found." ¹¹ At these all, then, dissolving, to what manner of men must you belong in holy behavior and devoutness, ¹² hoping for and hurrying the presence of God's day, because of which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved, and the elements decompose by combustion!" ¹³ Yet we, according to His promises, are hoping for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness is dwelling."

¹¹ And I perceived a great white throne, and Him Who is sitting upon it, from Whose face earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them."

¹ And I perceived a new heaven and a new earth, for the former heaven and the former earth pass away, and the sea is no more."

¹ Now mindful is the Elohim of Noah and every living animal and every beast and every flyer and every moving animal which is with him in the ark. And the Elohim is causing a wind to pass over the earth, and subsiding are the waters.

¹⁷ There the wicked leave off all disturbance, And there those wearied from vigor are resting. ¹⁸ Prisoners are tranquil together; They do not hear the voice of the taskmaster. ¹⁹ Small or great, he is there, And the servant is free from his lords.

⁴ Remember me, O Yahweh, in Your benevolence to Your people; Notice me in Your salvation,

¹ And you will say, in that day, "I am acclaiming You, Yahweh, for You wast angry with me, yet reversing is Your anger, and You are comforting me."

²⁰ Go, my people! Come into your chambers, and close your doors about you. Hide for a little moment, till the menace shall pass." ²¹ For, behold Yahweh faring forth from His holy place to visit the depravity of the earth's dweller upon it. And its blood is exposed by the earth, and no longer shall it cover over its killed."

¹ And the righteous one perishes, and no man is laying it to heart, and kind mortals are being gathered, yet no one is understanding. For, in view of the evil, gathered are the righteous, ² and entering into peace, and resting on their beds, and going in correctness."

³² Now concerning that day or hour no one is aware - neither the messengers in heaven, nor the Son - except the Father."

⁴² And he said to Jesus, "Be reminded of me, Lord, whenever Thou mayest be coming in Thy kingdom."

⁷ Yet He said to them, "Not yours is it to know times or eras which the Father placed in His own jurisdiction."

³¹ forasmuch as He assigns a day in which He is about to be judging the inhabited earth in righteousness by the Man Whom He specifies, tendering faith to all, raising Him from among the dead - "

¹⁵ Behold, He may despatch me, yet I shall wait for Him; Yea, I shall plead my ways before His face.

⁵ Since his days are decided, The number of his months are set by You, And You have made his statutory time, Which he cannot surpass,

²⁵ Yet as for me, I know my Redeemer is living, And after this He shall arise on the soil;" ²⁶ And behind my skin I will stand erect, And from my flesh I shall perceive Eloah,

¹⁶ Job lived after this a hundred and forty years. And he saw his sons and his sons sons to four generations.

¹⁴ Be expectant toward Yahweh; Be steadfast, and let your heart be resolute. Yea, be expectant toward Yahweh."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ Expectantly I have expected Yahweh, And He stretched out to me and heard my imploring;" ² He brought me up from the cistern of tumult, From the miry mud; Then He raised my feet upon a crag; He has established my movement."

²⁵ Yahweh is good to those who are expectant, to the soul that seeks after Him;" ²⁶ It is good that one should wait in stillness for the salvation of Yahweh;

¹ There has been upon me a hand of Yahweh, and He takes me forth in the Spirit of Yahweh, and does place me in the midst of the valley, and it is full of bones, ² and He causes me to pass over by them, all round about, and lo, very many [are] on the face of the valley, and lo, very dry." ³ And He said unto me, `Son of man, do these bones live?' And I say, `O Lord Yahweh, You--You have known.'" ⁴ And He said unto me, `Prophesy concerning these bones, and you have said unto them:O dry bones, hear a word of Yahweh:" <sup>5</sup> Thus said the Lord Yahweh to these bones:Lo, I am bringing into you a spirit, and you have lived, <sup>6</sup> and I have given on you sinews, and cause flesh to come up upon you, and covered you over with skin, and given in you a spirit, and you have lived, and you have known that I [am] Yahweh.'" <sup>7</sup> And I have prophesied as I have been commanded, and there is a noise, as I am prophesying, and lo, a rushing, and draw near do the bones, bone unto its bone." <sup>8</sup> And I beheld, and lo, on them [are] sinews, and flesh has come up, and cover them does skin over above--and spirit there is none in them." <sup>9</sup> And He said unto me:`Prophesy unto the Spirit, prophesy, son of man, and you have said unto the Spirit:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:From the four winds come in, O Spirit, and breathe on these slain, and they do live.'" ¹⁰ And I have prophesied as He commanded me, and the Spirit comes into them, and they live, and stand on their feet--a very very great force." ¹¹ And He said unto me, `Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; lo, they are saying:Dried up have our bones, And perished has our hope, We have been cut off by ourselves." ¹² Therefore, prophesy, and you have said unto them, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I am opening your graves, And have brought you up out of your graves, O My people, And brought you in unto the land of Israel." ¹³ And you have known that I [am] Yahweh, In My opening your graves, And in My bringing you up out of your graves, O My people." ¹⁴ And I have given My Spirit in you, and you have lived, And I have caused you to rest on your land, And you have known that I Yahweh, I have spoken, and I have done [it], An affirmation of Yahweh.'"

²⁹ Now, answering, Jesus said to them, "You are deceived, not being acquainted with the scriptures, nor yet with the power of God." ³⁰ For in the resurrection neither are they marrying nor taking in marriage, but are as messengers of God in heaven." ³¹ Now concerning the resurrection of the dead, did you not read that which is declared to you by God, saying, ³² I am the God of Abraham, and the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob? He is not the God of the dead but of the living."

²⁸ Marvel not at this, for coming is the hour in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, ²⁹ and those who do good shall go out into a resurrection of life, yet those who commit bad things, into a resurrection of judging."

⁸ Why is it being judged unbelievable by you, if God is rousing the dead?

⁴² Thus also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is roused in incorruption. ⁴³ It is sown in dishonor; it is roused in glory. It is sown in infirmity; it is roused in power. ⁴⁴ It is sown a soulish body; it is roused a spiritual body.

⁵¹ Lo! a secret to you am I telling! We all, indeed, shall not be put to repose, yet we all shall be changed, ⁵² in an instant, in the twinkle of an eye, at the last trump. For He will be trumpeting, and the dead will be roused incorruptible, and we shall be changed."

²¹ Who will transfigure the body of our humilation, to conform it to the body of His glory, in accord with the operation which enables Him even to subject all to Himself."

¹⁴ For, if we are believing that Jesus died and rose, thus also, those who are put to repose, will God, through Jesus, lead forth together with Him." ¹⁵ For this we are saying to you by the word of the Lord, that we, the living, who are surviving to the presence of the Lord, should by no means outstrip those who are put to repose, ¹⁶ for the Lord Himself will be descending from heaven with a shout of command, with the voice of the Chief Messenger, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ shall be rising first,

⁷ Be patient, then, brethren, till the presence of the Lord. Lo! the farmer is waiting for the precious fruit of the land, being patient about it, till it should be getting the early and late showers." ⁸ You also, then, be patient; establish your hearts, for the presence of the Lord is near."

¹³ And the sea gives up the dead in it, and death and the unseen give up the dead in them. And they were condemned, each in accord with their acts."

³ Is it good to You that You should work harm, That You should reject the labor of Your palms, And that You shine on the counsel of the wicked?

⁸ Your hands shaped me and made me; Yet afterward You swallow me up round about.

²² Either call, and I shall answer, Or I shall speak; then, I pray, reply to me.

⁴ He shall call to the heavens above And to the earth, to adjudicate His people." ⁵ Gather my benign ones to Me, Contractors of a covenant with Me by sacrifice."

⁸ Yahweh, He shall perfect in my future; O Yahweh, Your benignity is for the eon. The works of Your hands, O do not relax. {Permanent{ "

¹⁷ Thereupon we, the living who are surviving, shall at the same time be snatched away together with them in clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. And thus shall we always be together with the Lord."

¹⁹ So that, let those also who are suffering according to the will of God commit their souls to a faithful Creator in the doing of good."

²⁸ And now, little children, remain in Him, that, if He should be manifested, we should be having boldness and not be put to shame by Him in His presence."

⁶ That You should seek out my depravity And should inquire into my sin,

¹⁴ If I sin, then You observe me, And You do not hold me innocent of my depravity.

⁴ Does He not see my ways And number all my steps?

¹¹ He places my feet in stocks; He observes all my paths.

²¹ For His eyes are on the ways of a man, And He sees all his steps.

⁶ They are stirring up plots; they are lurking; They are keeping track of my heel prints, As though they expected to take my soul."

¹ {A Davidic Psalm{ O Yahweh, You have investigated me and are knowing me;" ² You Yourself know my sitting down and my rising up; You understand my thought from afar; ³ My path and my pallet You have measured off, And for all my ways You have made provision." ⁴ For though there be no declaration on my tongue, Behold, O Yahweh, You know it all."

²¹ For the ways of a man are before the eyes of Yahweh, Who ponders all his routes."

¹⁹ Great in counsel, and mighty in act, in that Your eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of Adam, to give to each according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings:"

³⁴ Is it not amassed with Me, sealed among My treasure.

¹⁹ Is Eloah secluding payment for his lawlessness to give to his sons? May He repay him that he may know!

¹² The depravity of Ephraim is bundled; his sin is secluded;

⁴ O one tearing his soul to pieces in his anger, On account of you shall the earth be forsaken, And the rock be shifted from its place?

²⁵ Beforetime You founded the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands." ²⁶ They shall perish, yet You shall stand. All of them shall decay like a cloak; You shall change them like clothing, and they shall pass by."

¹² Who measures the waters in the hollow of His hand, and regulates the heavens with a span? And Who contains, in a peck measure, the soil of all the earth, and weighs, with a balance, the mountains, and the hills with scales?

¹⁵ Behold! I constitute you a new spiked threshing sledge possessing serrated edges. You shall thresh the mountains and pulverize them, and the hills you shall make as trash." ¹⁶ You will winnow them, and the wind will carry them away. And the tempest will scatter them. And you shall exult in Yahweh. And in the Holy One of Israel shall you boast."

¹⁰ For the mountains shall remove, and the hills shall slip, yet My kindness from you shall not remove, and the covenant of My welfare shall not slip, says your Compassionate One, Yahweh."

¹ O that You wouldst tear the heavens and descend! The mountains would quiver because of Your presence!

²⁴ I have looked [to] the mountains, And lo, they are trembling. And all the hills moved themselves lightly."

⁵¹ And lo! the curtain of the temple is rent in two from above to the bottom, and the earth quaked, and the rocks are rent,

¹⁴ And heaven recoils as a scroll rolling up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place."

⁸ And the second messenger trumpets. And as it were a huge mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood,

¹⁷ And I, behold Me bringing a deluge of water over the earth to wreck all flesh, which has in it the spirit of the living, from under the heavens. All that is in the earth shall expire.

²¹ And expiring is all flesh moving on the earth, of flyer, and of beast, and of living animal, and of every roaming animal roaming on the earth, and every human. ²² Everyone which has the breath of the spirit of the living in his nostrils, of all that were in the drained area, dies. ²³ And wiped off is every risen thing which was on the surface of all the ground, from human to beast, from moving animal to the flyer of the heavens. And being wiped are they from the earth. Yea, only Noah is remaining, and what is with him in the ark.

⁸ For what expectation can the polluted have when he is clipped off, When Eloah eases away his soul?

⁶ Yet I, I have said in my ease, I shall not slip at all for the eon." ⁷ O Yahweh, in Your benevolence, You have made my mountain to stand in strength. If You conceal Your face, I become flustered;"

¹¹ And He said unto me, `Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel; lo, they are saying:Dried up have our bones, And perished has our hope, We have been cut off by ourselves."

¹⁹ And I will be declaring to my soul, "Soul, many good things have you laid up for many years. Rest, eat, drink, make merry."'" ²⁰ Yet God said to him, 'Imprudent one! In this night your soul are they demanding from you. Now, what you make ready, whose will it be?'"

¹² When they lifted their eyes from afar, they did not recognize him. Then they lifted their voice and lamented, while each one tore his robe, and they sprinkled soil toward the heavens on their heads.

⁸ No man has authority over the spirit to detain the spirit, And no one has authority over the day of death; There is no dismissal in war, And wickedness shall make no way of escape for its possessor."

⁸ Now their visage is darker than soot; they are not recognized in the streets; Their skin is shrunken over their bones, is dried up; it has become like wood."

²⁰ And at the time of her death, when the women who are standing by her say, `Fear not, for a son you have borne,' she has not answered, nor set her heart [to it];"

⁶ Yea, man walks about, merely an image; Yea, they clamor about in vain He piles up goods but does not know who will be gathering them in."

¹⁸ And I hated all my toil that I was toiling under the sun, That I would leave to the man who shall come after me." ¹⁹ Who knows if he shall be a wise or a frivolous man? Yet he shall have authority over all the fruit of my toil that I toiled, And in which I was wise under the sun; This too is vanity."

⁵ For the living know that they shall die, But the dead know nothing whatsoever; There is no further hire for them; Indeed remembrance of them is forgotten."

⁷ And of your sons, who shall fare forth from you, whom you shall beget, they shall take, and they shall become eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'" ⁸ And saying is Hezekiah to Isaiah, "Good is the word of Yahweh which you speak.And saying is he, "Is it not, since there is coming to be welfare and truth in my days?

¹⁶ For You are our Father, for Abraham does not know us, and Israel is not recognizing us. You are He, Yahweh, our Father, our Redeemer; from the eon is Your name."

²⁰ My bones cling to my skin and my flesh, And I escape only with the skin of my teeth.

²² Why are you pursuing me like El And are not satisfied with my flesh?

¹⁹ Also he is corrected by pain on his bed, And by perennial contention in his bones, ²⁰ So that bread is repugnant to him, to his life, And to his soul, the food of yearning. ²¹ His flesh is vanishing away from sight, And his bones are ridges that once could not be seen.

²³ And in the unseen, lifting up his eyes, existing in torments, he is seeing Abraham from afar, and Lazarus in his bosom." ²⁴ And he shouting, said, 'Father Abraham, be merciful to me, and send Lazarus that he should be dipping the tip of his finger in water and cooling my tongue, for I am pained in this flame.'"
