⁶ And they say, `We do not drink wine:for Jonadab son of Rechab, our father, charged us, saying, You do not drink wine, you and your sons--unto the eon;"

²⁷ And growing up are the lads. And becoming is Esau a man, a knowing hunter, a man of the field. Yet Jacob is a flawless man, dwelling in tents.

⁷ for it comes that they get more than may dwell together, and the land of their sojourning cannot bear them, in view of the multitude of their cattle.

¹² Glorify your father and your mother, that your days may be prolonged on the ground which Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you.

⁹ Do not drink wine or intoxicant, you or your sons with you, when you come into the tent of appointment, so that you may not die. It shall be an eonian statute throughout your generations,

⁴² In booths shall you dwell seven days, that is, every native in Israel; they shall dwell in booth. ⁴³ that your generations may know that in booths I made the sons of Israel dwell when I brought them forth from the land of Egypt:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

² Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them:In case a man or a woman should make an extraordinary vow, the Nazirite vow, to sequester himself to Yahweh, ³ from wine and intoxicant shall he sequester himself. Vinegar of wine and vinegar of an intoxicant he shall not drink, and any other liquid of grapes he shall not drink, and grapes, sappy or dried, he shall not eat. ⁴ All the days of his sequestration from all which is made from the vine, the wine from pips as well as grape-skin he shall not eat. ⁵ All the days of his Nazirite vow no razor shall pass over his head; until the days are fulfilled in which he is sequestering himself to Yahweh he shall come to be holy, letting the locks of the hair of his head grow great.

⁷ and he said to me, Lo, you are pregnant, and bearing a son, and now do not drink wine and strong drink, and do not eat any unclean thing, for a Nazarite to Elohim is the youth from the womb till the day of his death..

¹⁴ of anything which comes out from the wine-vine she does not eat, and wine and strong drink she does not drink, and any unclean thing she does not eat; all that I have commanded her she does observe..

¹⁵ And he goes thence, and finds Jehonadab son of Rechab--to meet him, and blesses him, and said unto him, `Is your heart right, as my heart [is] with your heart?' and Jehonadab said, `It is;' --`Then it is; give your hand;' and he gives his hand, and he causes him to come up into him into the chariot,

²³ And Jehu goes in, and Jehonadab son of Rechab, to the house of Baal, and said to the servants of Baal, `Search and see, lest there be here with you of the servants of Yahweh--but, the servants of Baal by themselves..

⁵⁵ and the families of the scribes the inhabitants of Jabez:Tirathites, Shimeathites, Suchathites. They [are] the Kenites, those coming of Hammath father of the house of Rechab.

¹⁹ When you are few of number, As a little thing, and sojourners in it.

¹⁴ And they find written in the law that Yahweh commanded by the hand of Moses, that the sons of Israel dwell in booths in the feast, in the seventh month, ¹⁵ and that they proclaim and cause to pass over all their cities, (and in Jerusalem,) saying, `Go you out to the mount, and bring leaves of the olive, and leaves of the oil tree, and leaves of the myrtle, and leaves of the palms, and leaves of thick trees, to make booths as it is written.. ¹⁶ And the people go out, and bring in, and make for themselves booths, each on his roof, and in their courts, and in the courts of the house of Elohim, and in the broad place of the water-gate, and in the broad place of the gate of Ephraim.

¹² When they became few adult males in number, Only a few, and sojourners in it,

¹⁰ and we dwell in tents, and we hearken, and we do according to all that Jonadab our father commanded us;"

¹⁵ for he shall be great in the sight of the Lord. And wine and intoxicant may he under no circumstances be drinking, and with holy spirit shall he be filled while still of his mother's womb."

²⁶ I am inferring, then, this ideal to be inherent, because of the present necessity, for it is ideal for humanity to be thus." ²⁷ You are bound to a wife? Do not seek to be loosed. You have been loosed from a wife? Do not seek a wife. ²⁸ Yet if you ever should be marrying, also, you did not sin. And if the virgin should be marrying, she did not sin. Yet affliction in the flesh will such be having. Yet I am sparing you." ²⁹ Now this I am averring, brethren, the era is limited; that, furthermore, those also having wives may be as not having them, ³⁰ and those lamenting as not lamenting, and those rejoicing as not rejoicing, and those buying as not retaining, ³¹ and those using this world as not using it up. For the fashion of this world is passing by.

² Honor your father and mother' (which is the first precept with a promise), ³ that it may be becoming well with you, and you should be a long time on the earth."

⁹ By faith he sojourns in the land of promise as in an alien land, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the joint enjoyers of the allotment of the same promise. " ¹⁰ For he waited for the city having foundations, whose Artificer and Architect is God. " ¹¹ By faith Sarah herself also obtained power for the disruption of seed, and brought forth beyond the period of her prime, since she deems the Promiser faithful;" ¹² wherefore, also, were begotten by one, and these of one who is deadened, according as the constellations of heaven in multitude, and as the sand beside the sea shore innumerable." ¹³ In faith died all these, not being requited with the promises, but perceiving them ahead and saluting them, and avowing that they are strangers and expatriates on the earth. ¹¹ Beloved, I am entreating you, as sojourners and expatriates, to be abstaining from the fleshly lusts which are warring against the soul,
