Isaiah 57:6 Cross References - CLV

⁶ among slick stones of the watercourse is your portion. They, they are your lot moreover, to them you pour out a libation; you bring up an approach present. Over these shall I regret?

³⁷ Then Yahweh will ask:Where are their elohim, the rock in whom they took refuge, ³⁸ who ate the fat of their sacrifices and drank the wine of their libations? Let them rise up and help you; let them become a concealment over you.

¹¹ And you who are forsaking Yahweh, forgetting My holy mountain, arranging for Gad a table, and filling for Minni a blend;"

³ Yet the wicked one-- the slaying of a bull, to Me is as smiting a man, sacrificing a flockling is as breaking the neck of a cur, bringing up an approach present is as the blood of a swine, making a memorial of frankincense is as blessing lawlessness. Moreover, they choose their own ways, and in their abominations their soul delights."

⁹ And it has come to pass, from the vileness of her fornication, that the land is defiled, and she commits fornication with stone and with wood."

⁹ For these do I not lay a charge? An affirmation of Yahweh, And on a nation such as this, Does not My soul avenge itself?

²⁹ For these do not I inspect, an affirmation of Yahweh, On a nation such as this, Does not My soul avenge itself?

¹⁸ The sons are gathering wood, And the fathers are causing the fire to burn, And the women are kneading dough, To make cakes to the queen of the heavens, And to pour out libations to other elohims, So as to provoke Me to anger."

⁹ For these things do not I see after them? An affirmation of Yahweh, Against a nation such as this does not My soul avenge itself?

¹³ and the houses of Jerusalem, and the houses of the kings of Judah, have been--as the place of Tophet--defiled, even all the houses on whose roofs they have made perfume to all the host of the heavens, so as to pour out oblations to other elohims.'"

²⁹ And come in have the Chaldeans who are fighting against this city, and they have set this city on fire, and have burned it, and the houses on whose roofs they made perfume to Baal, and poured out libations to other elohims, so as to provoke Me to anger."

¹⁷ for we certainly do everything that has gone out of our mouth, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our heads, in cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem, and--we are satisfied with bread, and we are well, and evil we have not seen." ¹⁸ `And from the time we have ceased to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, we have lacked all, and by sword and by famine we have been consumed, <sup>19</sup> and when we are making perfume to the queen of the heavens, and pouring out to her libations--without our husbands have we made for her cakes to idolize her, and to pour out to her libations?'" <sup>20</sup> And Jeremiah said unto all the people, concerning the men and concerning the women, and concerning all the people who are answering him, saying:" <sup>21</sup> `The perfume that you made in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you, and your fathers, your kings, and your heads, and the people of the land, has not Yahweh remembered it? yea, it comes up on His heart." ²² And Yahweh is not able any more to accept [you], because of the evil of your doings, because of the abominations that you have done, and your land is for a waste, and for an astonishment, and for a reviling, without inhabitant, as [at] this day." ²³ `Because that you have made perfume, and because you have sinned against Yahweh, and have not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh, and in His law, and in His statutes, and in His testimonies you have not walked, therefore has this evil met you as [at] this day.'" <sup>24</sup> And Jeremiah said unto all the people, and unto all the women, `Hear you a word of Yahweh, all Judah who [are] in the land of Egypt, ²⁵ Thus spoke Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel, saying:You and your wives both speak with your mouth, and with your hands have fulfilled, saying:We certainly execute our vows that we have vowed, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, you do certainly establish your vows, and certainly execute your vows."

³⁹ And you, O house of Israel, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Each his idols--go--serve you, And, afterwards, if you are not hearkening to me, And My holy name you do not pollute any more by your gifts, and by your idols."

¹⁹ Woe to him saying to the wood, Awake! Rouse! To the still stone, Be exalted! It is an apparition; behold it overspread with gold and silver, yet there is no spirit at all within it."
