⁵ Warmed with desire among elim under every flourishing tree, slayers of boys in the watercourses under forks of the crags,

⁶ So they rose early on the morrow and brought up ascent offerings and brought close peace offerings. And the people sat to eat and drank and rose to make fun.

²¹ You shall not give any of your seed to make them pass through fire to Moloch, for you shall not profane the name of your Elohim:I am Yahweh.

² To the sons of Israel you shall say, Any man of the sons of Israel and of the sojourners sojourning in Israel who should give any of his seed to Moloch shall be put to death, yea death. The people of the land shall pelt him with stones;" ³ I Myself shall set My face against that man and will cut him off from among his people (for he has given of his seed to Moloch) on account of the defilement of My sanctuary and the profanation of My holy name. ⁴ And if the people of the land should obscure, yea obscure their eyes from that man when he gives of his seed to Moloch, so as to avoid putting him to death, ⁵ then I Myself will set My face against that man and against his family and will cut off from among their people him and all those prostituting after him, to prostitute after Moloch.

¹ While Israel dwelt in Shittim, the people started to commit prostitution with the daughters of Moab, ² who called the people to the sacrifices of their elohim. The people ate their sacrifices and bowed themselves down to their elohim.

⁶ Behold, a man from the sons of Israel was coming in, and he brought near to his brothers a Midianite woman before the eyes of Moses and before the eyes of the whole congregation of the sons of Israel while they were lamenting at the opening of the tent of appointment.

² You shall destroy, yea destroy all the places where the nations (in whose stead you are tenanting) have served their elohim on the high mountains, on the hills and under every flourishing tree.

²³ And they build--also they--for themselves high places, and standing-pillars, and shrines, on every high height, and under every green tree;"

³ and he walks in the way of the kings of Israel, and also his son he has caused to pass over into fire, according to the abominations of the nations that Yahweh dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel, ⁴ and he sacrifices and makes perfume in high places, and on the heights, and under every green tree.

¹⁰ and set up for them standing-pillars and shrines on every high height, and under every green tree,

¹⁰ And he has defiled Topheth, that [is] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, so that no man does cause his son and his daughter to pass over through fire to Molech.

³ and himself has made perfume in the valley of the son of Hinnom, and burns his sons with fire according to the abominations of the nations that Yahweh dispossessed from the presence of the sons of Israel,

³⁷ They sacrificed their sons And their daughters to demons; ³⁸ So they shed innocent blood, The blood of their sons and their daughters, Whom they sacrificed to the fetishes of Canaan, And the land was polluted with bloodshed."

²⁹ For they are ashamed because of the oaks which you covet, and they are abashed because of the gardens which you choose."

²⁰ For from of old you have broken your yoke, Drawn away your bands, and say, `I do not serve,' For, on every high height, and under every green tree, You are wandering--a harlot."

⁶ And Yahweh said unto me, in the days of Josiah the king, `Have you seen that which backsliding Israel has done? She is going on every high mountain, and unto the place of every green tree, and commits fornication there."

¹³ Only, know your iniquity, For against Yahweh your Elohim you have transgressed, And you do scatter your ways to strangers, Under every green tree, And to My voice you have not hearkened, An affirmation of Yahweh."

³¹ And have built the high places of Tophet, That [are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, To burn their sons and their daughters with fire, Which I did not command, Nor did it come up on My heart."

² As their sons remember their altars and their shrines, By the green tree, by the high hills."

³⁵ And they build the high places of Baal, that [are] in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to cause their sons and their daughters to pass through to Molech, which I did not command them, nor did it come up on my heart to do this abomination, so as to cause Judah to sin."

³⁸ A sword [is] on her waters, and they have been dried up, For it [is] a land of graven images, And in idols they do boast themselves."

⁷ A golden cup [is] Babylon in the hand of Yahweh, Making drunk all the earth, Of its wine drunk have nations, Therefore boast themselves do nations."

¹³ And you have known that I [am] Yahweh, In their wounded being in the midst of their idols, Round about their altars, On every high hill, on all tops of mountains, And under every green tree, and under every thick oak, The place where they gave sweet fragrance to all their idols."

²⁰ And you do take your sons and your daughters Whom you have born to Me, And do sacrifice them to them for food. Is it a little thing because of your whoredoms,

²⁶ And I defile them by their own gifts, By causing to pass away every opener of a womb, So that I make them desolate, So that they know that I [am] Yahweh."

³¹ And in the offering of your gifts, In causing your sons to pass through fire, You are defiled by all your idols to this day, And I am sought by you, O house of Israel! I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, I am not sought by you."

¹¹ and wine and grape juice shall take their heart. ¹² My people at their wood are asking, and their stick is telling them, for the spirit of prostitution leads them astray, and they are committing prostitution away from under their Elohim." ¹³ On the summits of the mountains they are sacrificing, and on the hills they are fuming incense, under the oak and the white poplar and the overshadowing tree, and the terebinth, for good is its shade. Therefore your daughters shall commit prostitution."

⁴ All of them are adulterers, as a stove consuming the fuel, because the baker is ceasing to stoke when kneading the dough, till it leavens." ⁵ On the day of our king, the chiefs start a fury; because of wine, he draws to his hand the mockers." ⁶ For they kindle their heart as a stove, in their ambush; all the night their anger is smoking; in the morning it is consuming as a blazing fire." ⁷ All of them are being warmed as by a stove, and they devour their judges. All their kings fall; there is none among them calling to Me."

⁷ They are gasping to have the soil of the earth on the head of the poor, and the way of the humble are they turning aside, yet a man and his father are going to the same maiden, that they may violate the holy name of their Elohim." ⁸ On pledged garments are they stretching out beside every altar, and the wine of those fined are they drinking in the house of their elohim."

¹ And one from among the seven messengers who have the seven bowls came, and he speaks with me, saying, "Hither! I shall be showing you the sentence of the great prostitute who is sitting on many waters, ² with whom the kings of the earth commit prostitution, and those dwelling on the earth are made drunk with the wine of her prostitution." ³ And he carries me away, in spirit, into a wilderness. And I perceived a woman sitting on a scarlet wild beast replete with names of blasphemy, and having seven heads and ten horns." ⁴ And the woman was clothed with purple and scarlet, and gilded with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand, brimming with abominations and the uncleannesses of the prostitution of her and the earth." ⁵ And on her forehead is written a name: Secret Babylon the Great the mother of the prostitutes and the abominations of the earth.

³ for, as a result of the wine of the fury of her prostitution have all the nations fallen. And the kings of the earth commit prostitution with her,and the merchants of the earth are rich as a result of her power to indulge."
