Isaiah 45:1 Cross References - CLV

¹ Thus says Yahweh Elohim to His anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I hold fast, to sway over nations before him, and the waists of kings will I unloose, to open the doors before him, and the gates shall not be closed."

¹⁵ And Yahweh said unto him, `Go turn back on your way to the wilderness of Damascus, and you have gone in, and anointed Hazael for king over Aram,

¹ In the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, to conclude the word of Yahweh from the mouth of Jeremiah, Yahweh roused the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia so that he caused a notification to pass through all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,

²¹ Pouring out contempt on patrons, He also makes the cordon of the mighty repressors to slacken.

²³ Yet I am continually with You; You hold me by my right hand.

³ I, I instruct My hallowed. And I call them. Moreover, I call My masters, for My anger, even My joyous and My proud."

² Who roused one from the sunrise? A just one; and He is calling him to His foot, and He is setting the nations before him, and over kings is he swaying. And He is giving them, as soil, to his sword, and, as straw whisked away, to his bow,

¹³ For I, Yahweh, your Elohim, am holding fast your right hand, saying to you, `You must not fear; I, I help you."

²⁵ I rouse one from the north, and he shall arrive; one from the rising of the sun, and he shall proclaim in My name. And he shall trample on prefects as clay of a potter, and, as a potter is tramping the mud, so shall you be tramped."

⁶ I, Yahweh Elohim, call you in righteousness, and I will hold fast to your hand and preserve you, and I will give you for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Nations,

²⁸ Saying as to Cyrus, `My shepherd,' and `All My desire he will perform.' Saying as to Jerusalem, `It shall be built.' And the temple, `It shall be founded.'"

⁵ I am Yahweh Elohim, and there is none else. There is no Elohim except Me. I am belting you, yet you do not know Me."

⁶ `And now, I--I have given all these lands into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, My servant, and also the beast of the field I have given to him to serve him;"

³ For come up against her has a nation from the north, It makes her land become a desolation, And there is not an inhabitant in it. From man even unto beast, They have moved, they have gone."

³⁵ A sword [is] for the Chaldeans, An affirmation of Yahweh, And it [is] on the inhabitants of Babylon, And on her heads, and on her wise men;"

¹¹ Cleanse you the arrows, fill the shields, Stirred up has Yahweh the spirit of the kings of Madia, For against Babylon His device [is] to destroy it, For the vengeance of Yahweh it [is], The vengeance of His temple."

²⁰ An axe [are] you to me--weapons of war, And I have broken in pieces by you nations, And I have destroyed by you kingdoms, ²¹ And I have broken in pieces by you horse and its rider, And I have broken in pieces by you chariot and its charioteer, ²² And I have broken in pieces by you man and woman, And I have broken in pieces by you old and young, And I have broken in pieces by you young man and virgin, ²³ And I have broken in pieces by you shepherd and his drove, And I have broken in pieces by you husbandman and his team, And I have broken in pieces by you governors and prefects." ²⁴ And I have recompensed to Babylon, And to all inhabitants of Chaldea, All the evil that they have done in Zion, Before your eyes--an affirmation of Yahweh."

²¹ The arm of Pharaoh, king of Egypt, I have broken, And lo, it has not been bound up to give healing, To put a bandage to bind it, To strengthen it--to lay hold on the sword." ²² Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Lo, I [am] against Pharaoh, king of Egypt, And I have broken his arms, The strong one and the broken one, And have caused the sword to fall out of his hand, ²³ And scattered the Egyptians among nations, And I have spread them through lands, ²⁴ And strengthened the arms of the king of Babylon, And I have given My sword into his hand, And I have broken the arms of Pharaoh, And he has groaned the groans of a pierced one--before him."

⁶ Then the king's mien alters and his ruminations are flustering him; the ligaments of his loins loosen up, and his knees are knocking one against the other."

²⁸ PHURS, bisected is your kingdom and it will be granted to the Medes and Persians." ²⁹ Then, at Belshazzar's order, they clothe Daniel in purple, with a circlet of gold about his neck, and they proclaim concerning him that he is the third authority in the kingdom." ³⁰ In the same night Belshazzar is despatched, the king of the Chaldeans. Thus the interpretation comes on Belshazzar the king:The kingdom is taken away from the Chaldeans and given to the Medes and Persians."

⁵ And behold, another animal, a second, like a she-bear; one part is set up, and three ribs are in her mouth between her teeth. Thus are they saying to her, "Rise! Eat huge amounts of flesh."

³ Then I am lifting my eyes and I am seeing, and behold, one ram standing before the canal, and it has two horns. The horns are lofty, yet the one is loftier than the other, and the loftier one is coming up last."

⁶ The sluice gates of the streams shall be opened, and the palace will be dissolved,
