¹ In the seventh month, in the twenty first of the month, the word of Yahweh comes by the hand of Haggai, the prophet, saying, ² Say, I pray, to Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, viceroy of Judah, and to Joshua, son of Josedech, the great priest, and to all the remnant of the people, saying:" ³ Do any remain among you who saw this house in its former glory? And what are you seeing it to be now? Is it not likewise as nothing in your eyes? ⁴ Yet now be steadfast, Zerubbabel, (averring is Yahweh), and be steadfast, Joshua, son of Josedech, the great priest, and be steadfast, all you people of the land, (averring is Yahweh), and do it, for I am with you, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)--" ⁵ the word which I contract with you when you fared forth from Egypt; and My spirit is standing in your midst:You must not fear. ⁶ For thus says Yahweh of hosts:Still once, a little it is, and I am quaking the heavens and the earth and the sea and the drained land;" ⁷ and I will quake all the nations; and the coveted of all the nations shall come. And I will fill this house with glory, says Yahweh of hosts." ⁸ Mine is the silver, and Mine is the gold, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)." ⁹ Greater shall become the glory of this latter house than the former, says Yahweh of hosts. And in this place will I give peace, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)." ¹⁰ On the twenty fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of Yahweh comes to Haggai, the prophet, saying, ¹¹ Thus says Yahweh of hosts:Ask, I pray, the priests of the law, saying, ¹² Behold! a man is bearing holy flesh in the hem of his garment, and with his hem touches bread or stew or wine or oil or any food. Is it holy? And the priests are answering and saying, No." ¹³ Then Haggai is saying, If an unclean soul be touching any of these, is it unclean? And the priests are answering and saying, It is unclean." ¹⁴ Then Haggai is answering and saying, So is this people, and so is this nation before Me, (averring is Yahweh). And so is every deed of their hands, and what they are bringing near there; it is unclean." ¹⁵ And now, set, I pray, your heart from this day and onward. Ere was placed a stone on a stone in the temple of Yahweh, ¹⁶ what came to you? One came to a threshed grain bin for twenty seahs, yet it came to be ten. One came to a wine-vat to make it bare of fifty measures in the winepress, yet it came to be twenty." ¹⁷ I smote you with blasting and with green mold and with hail in all the work of your hands, yet you are not returning to Me, (averring is Yahweh)." ¹⁸ Set, I pray, your heart from this day and onward. From the twenty fourth day of the ninth month, from the day on which the temple of Yahweh is founded, set your heart." ¹⁹ Is the seed still in the underground hoard? And have the vine and the fig tree and the pomegranate and the olive tree still not borne? From this day will I bless. ²⁰ And the word of Yahweh is coming a second time to Haggai, the prophet, on the twenty fourth of the month, saying, ²¹ Speak to Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, viceroy of Judah, saying:I am quaking the heavens and the earth, and the sea and the drained land." ²² And I will overturn the thrones of kingdoms, and I will exterminate the steadfastness of the kingdoms of the nations, and overturn the chariot and its riders, and the horses and their riders go down, each man by the sword of his brother." ²³ In that day, (averring is Yahweh of hosts), I will take you, Zerubbabel, son of Shealtiel, My servant, (averring is Yahweh), and will place you as a seal, for I have chosen you, (averring is Yahweh of hosts)."

¹⁵ And enmity am I setting between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed. He shall hurt your head and you shall hurt his heel.

¹⁸ and blessed, in your seed, shall be all the nations of the earth, inasmuch as you hearken to My voice.

¹² And sowing is Isaac in that land and is finding in that year a hundredfold of barley. And blessing him is Yahweh.

⁶ And Joseph, he has authority over the land. He is the retailer to all the people of the land. And coming are the brothers of Joseph and prostrating to him, nostrils to the earth.

²³ Yet they do not know that Joseph is hearing, for the translator is between them.

²⁷ And opening is one his sack to give provender to his ass in the lodging, and seeing is he his money pouch, and behold! It is in the mouth of his bag!"

¹⁰ Not withdraw shall the sceptre from Judah, nor a statue-maker's staff from between his feet, till it be that ease shall come to him. And to it shall the expectation of the people be.

¹² Then He said: I shall come to be with you. And this will be the sign for you that I have sent you: when you bring the people forth from Egypt you shall serve the One, Elohim, on this mountain.

¹⁸ Behold Me causing it to rain about this time tomorrow an exceedingly heavy hail such as has not come in Egypt from the day of her founding until now. ¹⁹ And now send, bring your cattle under strong shelter and all that you have in the field. Every human and beast which is found in the field and is not gathered toward the house, on them the hail will descend, and they shall die. ²⁰ The one fearful of the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee to the houses. ²¹ Yet he who was not setting his heart on the word of Yahweh, forsook his servants and his cattle in the field. ²² Yahweh said to Moses: Stretch out your hand to the heavens that hail may come to be in all the land of Egypt, on human and on beast and on all herbage of the field in the land of Egypt. ²³ So Moses stretched out his rod to the heavens, and Yahweh, He gave thundering sounds and hail, and fire ran earthward. Thus Yahweh rained hail over the land of Egypt. ²⁴ And the hail came with fire taking hold of itself in the midst of the hail, exceedingly heavy, such as had not come in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation. ²⁵ Now the hail smote in all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, from human unto beast. Also the hail smote all herbage of the field and broke every tree of the field. ²⁶ But in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel were, no hail came. ²⁷ Then Pharaoh sent and called for Moses and for Aaron and said to them: I have sinned this time. Yahweh is the righteous One, and I and my people are the wicked. ²⁸ Make an entreaty to Yahweh, for this is enough of there coming to be thundering sounds of Elohim and hail. Let me dismiss you; you shall not continue to stay. ²⁹ Moses said to him: As I go forth from the city I shall spread my palms to Yahweh, and the thundering sounds shall halt, and the hail shall come no longer, so that you may know that the earth is Yahweh's.

¹⁷ And I, behold Me making the heart of the Egyptians steadfast that they may enter after them; for I shall be glorified over Pharaoh and over all his army, over his chariots and over his horsemen.

²⁸ for the waters returned and covered the chariots and the horsemen, all the army of Pharaoh which had been entering after them into the sea. Not even one of them remained.

⁴ The chariots of Pharaoh and his army He shot into the sea, and the choice of his third fighters sank into the Sea of Weeds.

¹⁹ When the horses of Pharaoh had entered with his chariots and with his horsemen into the sea, then Yahweh returned the waters of the sea over them. Yet the sons of Israel, they had gone on dry ground in the midst of the sea!"

³⁷ Seven days shall you make a propitiatory shelter on the altar and hallow it. Thus the altar becomes a holy of holies. All that touches the altar shall be holy.

⁴⁵ I will tabernacle in the midst of the sons of Israel and will become their Elohim. ⁴⁶ Then they will realize that I am Yahweh their Elohim Who brought them forth from the land of Egypt that I may tabernacle in their midst. I am Yahweh their Elohim.

¹² Moses said to Yahweh: See! You are saying to me: Bring up this people, but You have not let me know whom You shall send with me. Yet You have said: I know you by name, and moreover you have found grace in My eyes. ¹³ And now, I pray, if I have found grace in Your eyes let me know I pray, Your way that I may know You and that I may find grace in Your eyes; see that this nation is Your people. ¹⁴ And He said: My presence, shall it go that I may give rest to you?

⁸ Then Moses hastened, bowed his head toward the earth, bowed himself down,

¹⁰ Then He said: Behold, I am contracting a covenant; in front of all your people shall I do marvels which have not been created on the entire earth, or among any of the nations. So all the people among whom you are will see the handiwork of Yahweh, for fear inspiring is that which I am doing with you.

³⁴ and the cloud covered the tent of appointment, then the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle, ³⁵ so that Moses was unable to enter into the tent of appointment, for the cloud tabernacled on it, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle.

²⁷ All that may touch its flesh is holy. And when some of its blood is spattered on a garment, you shall rinse that on which it is spattered in a holy place.

²⁹ Every male among the priests shall eat it; it is a holy of holies.

⁶ Every male among the priests shall eat of it. In a holy place shall it be eaten; it is a holy of holies.

¹⁰ to differentiate between the holy and the profane, and between the unclean and the clean, ¹¹ and to direct the sons of Israel in all the statutes which Yahweh has spoken to them by means of Moses.

⁴ Any man of the seed of Aaron, when he is a leprous man or has a discharge, he may not eat of the holy things until he be clean. As for the one touching any unclean soul, or a man from whom an emission of semen comes forth, ⁵ or a man who touches any swarmer which is unclean to him or a human who is unclean to him because of any uncleanness on him, ⁶ the soul who touches it also will be unclean until the evening and may not eat of the holy things unless he bathes his flesh in water.

³ If you walk by My statutes and observe My instructions and keep them, ⁴ then I will give your downpours in their season, and the land will give its crop, and the tree of the field shall give its fruit. ⁵ Your threshing will overtake the vintage, and the vintage, it shall overtake the sowing; you will eat your bread to satisfaction and dwell in trust in your land. ⁶ I will give peace in the land, and you will lie down with no one making you tremble; I will eradicate the vicious animal from the land, and no sword shall pass through your land. ⁷ You will pursue your enemies, and they will fall before you by the sword;" ⁸ five of you will pursue a hundred, and a hundred of you shall pursue a myriad, and your enemies will fall before you by the sword. ⁹ I will countenance you, make you fruitful, increase you and confirm My covenant with you. ¹⁰ You will eat stored stores and bring forth the stores in view of the new. ¹¹ I will put My tabernacle in your midst, and My soul shall not loathe you. ¹² I will walk about in your midst and will be your Elohim and you, you shall be My people. ¹³ I, Yahweh, am your Elohim Who brought you forth from the land of Egypt, from being servants to them. I have broken the slider bars of your yoke and enabled you to walk upraised.

² Instruct the sons of Israel that they shall send away from the camp every leprous human and everyone having a discharge and everyone defiled by a deceased soul. ³ Both male and female shall you send them away outside the camp. You shall send them away so that they may not defile their camps in the midst of which I am tabernacling.

⁶ And it came to be that some men who became unclean by touching a deceased soul of a human were not able to prepare the passover on that day. Then they came near before Moses and before Aaron on that day. ⁷ Those men said to him:We are unclean by touching a deceased soul of a human. Why should we be disadvantaged by failing to offer the approach present of Yahweh at its appointed time in the midst of the sons of Israel? ⁸ So Moses said to them:Stand by and let me hear what instruction Yahweh may give for you. ⁹ Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying. ¹⁰ Speak to the sons of Israel, saying, In case any man of you or of your generations becomes unclean by a deceased soul or is on the road afar, he will also prepare a passover to Yahweh.

²⁵ Yahweh descended in a cloud and spoke to him. He caused some of the spirit which was on him to divert, and He put it on the seventy men, the elders. And it came to be as the spirit rested on them that they prophesied, yet they did not do so again. ²⁶ Yet two men remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad and the name of the second Medad. The spirit also rested on them. Now they had been among those listed but had not gone forth toward the tent; yet they prophesied in the camp. ²⁷ Now a youth ran and told Moses and said:Eldad and Medad are prophesying in the camp! ²⁸ Joshua son of Nun, minister of Moses from his prime, answered and said:My lord Moses, forbid them!" ²⁹ Yet Moses said to him:Are you zealous for my sake? O that all the people of Yahweh were prophets! For Yahweh put His spirit on them.

¹¹ The one touching the dead body of any human soul will be unclean seven days. ¹² He shall purify himself from sin with it on the third day; then on the seventh day he shall be clean. And if he does not purify himself from sin on the third day, then on the seventh day he shall not be clean. ¹³ Anyone touching a dead body, a human soul who died, and who does not purify himself from sin defiles the tabernacle of Yahweh; that soul will be cut off from Israel, for water of impurity was not sprinkled on him. He shall be unclean; his uncleanness will still be in him. ¹⁴ This is the law in case a human should die in a tent:Everyone entering the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean seven days. ¹⁵ Every open vessel on which there is no leather-cap fastened with twine, it is unclean. ¹⁶ Anyone who touches, on the surface of the field, one wounded to death by the sword or a dead body or a human bone or a tomb, he shall be unclean seven days. ¹⁷ They will take for the unclean from the soil of the burning place of the sin offering and put living water on it in a vessel. ¹⁸ A clean man will take hyssop, dip it in the water and spatter it on the tent and on all the vessels and on the souls which are there and on the one touching a bone or one wounded to death or a dead body or a tomb. ¹⁹ The clean one will spatter on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day and thus expiate him on the seventh day. He will then rinse his garments and bathe in water and will be clean in the evening. ²⁰ If anyone who is unclean does not purify himself from sin, then that soul will be cut off from the midst of the assembly, for the sanctuary of Yahweh has he defiled; water of impurity was not sprinkled on him, he is unclean. ²¹ It will be to them an eonian statute that the one spattering the water of impurity shall also rinse his garments, and the one touching the water of impurity shall be unclean until the evening. ²² All that the unclean one touches is unclean, and the soul of the one touching shall be unclean until the evening.

¹⁰ You shall give, yea give to him, and your heart shall not feel bad at your giving to him. For owing to this matter Yahweh your Elohim shall bless you in all your work and in every undertaking of your hand.

⁸ In case a matter for judgment should be too difficult for you, between blood and blood, between adjudication and adjudication and between assault and assault, any matters of contentions in your gates, then you will arise and ascend to the place which Yahweh your Elohim shall choose. ⁹ And you will come to the priests, the Levites, and to the judge who shall come to be in those days; they will inquire and tell you the word of judgment. ¹⁰ Then you must act in accordance with the word that they shall tell you from that place that Yahweh your Elohim shall choose. You must observe to act according to all that they shall direct you. ¹¹ In accordance with the law by which they shall direct you and according to the judgment that they shall deliver to you, you shall act. You shall not withdraw from the word that they shall tell you, neither to the right nor left.

² And all these blessings will come on you and overtake you in case you should hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim. ³ Blessed be you in the city, and blessed be you in the field. ⁴ Blessed be the fruit of your belly, the fruit of your ground and the fruit of your beast, the calving of your domestic animals and the lambing of your flock. ⁵ Blessed be your basket and your kneading-trough. ⁶ Blessed be you in your coming in, and blessed be you in your going forth. ⁷ Yahweh shall make your enemies who are rising against you to be struck down before you. By a single road shall they come forth to you, and by seven roads shall they flee before you. ⁸ Yahweh shall instruct the blessing to be with you in your granaries and in every undertaking of your hand, and He will bless you in the land that Yahweh your Elohim is giving to you. ⁹ Yahweh shall raise you as a people holy to Himself, just as He had sworn to you, in case you should observe the instructions of Yahweh your Elohim, and walk in His ways, ¹⁰ so that all the peoples of the earth will see that the name of Yahweh is proclaimed over you, and they will fear you. ¹¹ Then through the fruit of your belly, the fruit of your domestic beast and the fruit of your ground, Yahweh will give you surplus in goods on the ground about which Yahweh had sworn to your fathers to give to you. ¹² Yahweh shall open to you His good treasure, the heavens, to give rain to your land in its season and to bless every work of your hand. You will obligate many nations, yet you shall not borrow. ¹³ So Yahweh will make you to be the head and not the tail, and you will surely be above, and you shall not be below, in case you should hearken to the instructions of Yahweh your Elohim that I am enjoining on you today, to observe and to obey. ¹⁴ You shall not withdraw from any of the words which I am instructing you today, neither to the right nor left, to go after other elohim to serve them. ¹⁵ It will come to be if you do not hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim to observe and to do all His instructions and His statutes that I am enjoining on you today, that all these maledictions will come on you and overtake you.

²² Yahweh shall smite you with attenuation, with fever and inflammation, with hot heat and drought, with blasting and mildew, and they will pursue you until you perish.

²³ Then He instructed Joshua son of Nun and said:Be steadfast and be resolute! For you shall bring the sons of Israel to the land about which I had sworn to them; and I Myself shall come to be with you.

²⁹ O that they were wise; they would proceed intelligently in this; they would understand about their latter days!

¹⁰ They shall direct Your judgments for Jacob, and Your law for Israel. They shall bring incense to Your nostrils and a holocaust on Your altar.

⁶ be strong and courageous, for you--you do cause this people to inherit the land which I have sworn to their fathers to give to them.

⁹ `Have not I commanded you? be strong and courageous; be not terrified nor affrighted, for with you [is] Yahweh your Elohim in every [place] whither you go..

¹ And Yahweh said unto Joshua, `Fear not, nor be affrighted, take with you all the people of war, and rise, go up to Ai; see, I have given into your hand the king of Ai, and his people, and his city, and his land,

¹⁸ And when Yahweh raised up to them judges--then was Yahweh with the judge, and saved them out of the hand of their enemies all the days of the judge; for it repents Yahweh, because of their groaning from the presence of their oppressors, and of those thrusting them away.

²² and the three hundred blow the trumpets, and Yahweh sets the sword of each against his companion, even through all the camp; and the camp flees unto Beth-Shittah, at Zererath, unto the border of Abel-Meholah, by Tabbath.

¹⁶ And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin see, and lo, the multitude has melted away, and it goes on, and is beaten down.

¹⁸ And one of the servants answers and said, `Lo, I have seen a son of Jesse the Beth-Lehemite, skilful in playing, and a mighty virtuous man, and a man of battle, and intelligent in word, and a man of form, and Yahweh [is] with him..

¹⁰ and David goes, going on and becoming great, and Yahweh, Elohim of Hosts, [is] with him.

²⁰ And before the oracle [is] twenty cubits in length, and twenty cubits in breadth, and twenty cubits [is] its height; and he overlays it with gold refined, and overlays the altar with cedar. ²¹ And Solomon overlays the house within with gold refined, and causes [it] to pass over in chains of gold before the oracle, and overlays it with gold. ²² And the whole of the house he has overlaid with gold, till the completion of all the house; and the whole of the altar that the oracle has, he has overlaid with gold. ²³ And he makes within the oracle two cherubs, of the oil-tree, ten cubits [is] their height;" ²⁴ and five cubits [is] the one wing of the cherub, and five cubits the second wing of the cherub, ten cubits from the ends of its wings even unto the ends of its wings;" ²⁵ and ten by the cubit [is] the second cherub, one measure and one form [are] to the two cherubs, ²⁶ the height of the one cherub [is] ten by the cubit, and so [is] the second cherub;" ²⁷ and he sets the cherubs in the midst of the inner house, and they spread out the wings of the cherubs, and a wing of the one comes against the wall, and a wing of the second cherub is coming against the second wall, and their wings [are] unto the midst of the house, coming wing against wing;" ²⁸ and he overlays the cherubs with gold, ²⁹ and all the walls of the house round about he has carved with openings of carvings, cherubs, and palm trees, and openings of flowers, within and without. ³⁰ And the floor of the house he has overlaid with gold, within and without;" ³¹ as to the opening of the oracle, he made doors of the oil-tree; the lintel, side-posts, a fifth. ³² And the two doors [are] of the oil-tree, and he has carved upon them carvings of cherubs, and palm-trees, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with gold, and he causes the gold to go down on the cherubs and on the palm-trees. ³³ And so he has made for the opening of the temple, side-posts of the oil-tree, from the fourth. ³⁴ And the two doors [are] of fir-tree, the two sides of the one door are revolving, and the two hangings of the second door are revolving. ³⁵ And he has carved cherubs, and palms, and openings of flowers, and overlaid with straightened gold the graved work.

¹¹ and the priests have not been able to stand to minister because of the cloud, for the honor of Yahweh has filled the house of Yahweh.

³⁷ `Famine--when it is in the land; pestilence--when it is; blasting, mildew, locust; caterpillar--when it is; when its enemy has distressed it in the land [in] its gates, any plague, any sickness, -.

¹⁹ And sons of Pedaiah:Zerubbabel, and Shimei. And sons of Zerubbabel:Meshullam, and Hananiah, and Shelomith their sister,

¹³ then you do prosper, if you do observe to do the statutes and the judgments that Yahweh charged Moses with concerning Israel; be strong and courageous; do not fear, nor be cast down.

²⁰ And David said to Solomon his son, `Be strong, and courageous, and do; do not fear nor be affrighted, for Yahweh Elohim, my Elohim, [is] with you; He does not fail you, nor forsake you, unto the completion of all the work of the service of the house of Yahweh.

¹⁴ yea, because, who [am] I, and who [are] my people, that we retain power to offer thus willingly? but of You [is] the whole, and out of Your hand we have given to You;" ¹⁵ for sojourners we [are] before You, and settlers, like all our fathers; as a shadow [are] our days on the land, and there is none abiding. ¹⁶ `O Yahweh our Elohim, all this store that we have prepared to build to You a house, for Your holy name, [is] out of Your hand, and of You [is] the whole.

¹⁴ and the priests have not been able to stand to minister from the presence of the cloud, for the honor of Yahweh has filled the house of Elohim.

²⁸ `Famine, when it is in the land, pestilence, when it is, blasting, and mildew, locust, and caterpillar, when they are, when its enemies have distressed it in the land--its gates, any plague and any sickness;"

¹⁷ Not for you to fight in this; station yourselves, stand, and see the salvation of Yahweh with you, O Judah and Jerusalem--be not afraid nor fear you--to-morrow go out before them, and Yahweh [is] with you..

²² And at the time they have begun with singing and praise, Yahweh has put ambushments against the sons of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, who are coming in to Judah, and they are smitten,

²² And in the time of his distress--he adds to trespass against Yahweh, (this king Ahaz),

⁸ Cyrus king of Persia brought them forth by the hand of the treasurer Mithredath who counted them off to Sheshbazzar prince of Judah.

² those who came with Zerubbabel:Jeshua, Nehemiah, Seraiah, Reelaiah, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigvai, Rehum, Baanah. The number of the men of the people of Israel.

⁶³ Hence the Tirshatha said to them that they should not eat from the holy of holies until a priest would stand up with Urim and Thummim.

² Then Jeshua son of Jozadak arose with his brother priests and Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel, and his brothers. They built the altar of the Elohim of Israel, to offer up on it ascent offerings as it is written in the law of Moses the man of Elohim. ³ They established the altar on its bases, for dread was on them because of the peoples of the areas; and they brought up on it ascent offerings to Yahweh, the ascent offerings for the morning and for the evening.

¹⁰ When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of Yahweh, then priests clothed in their vestments, with bugles, and Levites (sons of Asaph) with cymbals, took their stand to praise Yahweh according to the acclamation directions of David king of Israel.

¹² Many of the older priests and Levites and patriarchal heads who had seen the former House, were lamenting with a loud voice when the foundation of this House was laid before their eyes. Many others raised up the voice in shouting and rejoicing.

²⁴ Then the work on the House of Eloah in Jerusalem was halted. And it remained halted until the year two of the reign of Darius king of Persia.

¹ Then the prophets, Haggai the prophet and Zechariah son of Iddo, prophesied to the Judeans in Judah and in Jerusalem in the name of Eloah of Israel Who was over them. ² Then Zerubbabel son of Shealtiel and Jeshua son of Jozadak arose and began to rebuild the House of Eloah in Jerusalem; and with them were the prophets of the One, Eloah, giving them aid.

⁹ And Nehemiah--he [is] the Tirshatha--said (and Ezra the priest, the scribe, and the Levites who are instructing the people) to all the people, `To-day is holy to Yahweh your Elohim, do not mourn, nor weep:' for all the people are weeping at their hearing the words of the law.

²⁰ `And Your good Spirit You have given, to cause them to act wisely; and Your manna You have not withheld from their mouth, and water You have given to them for their thirst,

³⁰ `And You draw over them many years, and testify against them by Your Spirit, by the hand of Your prophets, and they have not given ear, and You do give them into the hand of peoples of the lands,

¹³ As for the polluted of heart who nourish anger, Who do not implore when He binds them,

I am tired of bearing them. ¹⁵ And when you spread your palms to Me, I will obscure My eyes from you. Moreover, in case you are increasing your prayers, there is no hearing by Me. Your hands are full of blood. Amidst your fingers extrudes lawlessness."

So lead You Your people, to make for Yourself a name of beauty."

⁹ The hands of Zerubbabel laid the foundation of this house, and his hands shall complete it. Then shall you know that Yahweh of hosts sent me to you." ¹⁰ For who despises the day of small things? ⁵ Now, answering, the messenger said to the women, "Fear you not! For I am aware that you are seeking Jesus, the Crucified."

²⁷ And he came, in the spirit, into the sanctuary, and as the parents are bringing in the little Boy Jesus, for them to do according to the custom of the law concerning Him,

¹⁷ Now, coming to himself, he averred, 'How many of my father's hired men are being cloyed with bread, yet I am perishing here of famine!" ¹⁸ Rising, I will go to my father and declare to him, "Father, I sinned against heaven and in your sight." ¹⁹ No longer am I worthy to be called your son. Make me as one of your hired men."'" ²⁰ And rising, he came to his father. "Now, at his being still far away, his father perceived him and has compassion, and running, falls on his neck and fondly kisses him."

⁵ And at some saying concerning the sanctuary, that it is adorned with ideal stones and votive offerings, He said, ⁶ These which you are beholding-there will be coming days in which not a stone will be left here on a stone, which will not be demolished."

¹⁰ Then He said to them, "Roused shall be nation against nation, and kingdom against kingdom." ¹¹ Besides, there shall be great quakes and, in places, famines and pestilences. There shall be fearful sights besides great signs also from heaven."

²⁵ And there shall be signs in the sun and the moon and the constellations, and on the earth pressure of nations in perplexity, at the resounding of the sea and the shaking, ²⁶ at the chilling of men from fear and apprehensiveness of that which is coming on the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens shall be shaken." ²⁷ And then they shall be seeing the Son of Mankind coming in a cloud with power and much glory.

³⁸ And the entire people came early to Him in the sanctuary, to hear Him"

¹³ And near was the Passover of the Jews, and Jesus went up into Jerusalem." ¹⁴ And He found in the sanctuary those selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money changers sitting." ¹⁵ And, making a whip out of ropes, He casts all out of the sanctuary, both the sheep and the oxen, and He pours out the change of the brokers and overturns the tables." ¹⁶ And to those selling doves He said, "Take these away hence, and do not be making My Father's house a house for a merchant's store." ¹⁷ Now His disciples are reminded that it is written: "The zeal of Thy house will be devouring Me."

³⁷ Now on the last, the great day of the festival, Jesus stood and cries, saying, "If anyone should be thirsting, let him come to Me and drink." ³⁸ He who is believing in Me, according as the scripture said, out of his bowel shall gush rivers of living water." ³⁹ Now this He said concerning the spirit which those believing in Him were about to get. For not as yet was holy spirit given, for Jesus is not as yet glorified."

²³ And Jesus walked in the sanctuary in the portico of Solomon. ²⁴ The Jews, then, surround Him, and they said to Him, "Till when are you lifting our soul? If you are the Christ, tell us with boldness." ²⁵ Jesus answered them, "I told you, and you are not believing. The works which I am doing in the name of My Father, these are testifying concerning Me." ²⁶ But you are not believing, seeing that you are not of My sheep, according as I said to you." ²⁷ My sheep are hearing My voice, and I know them, and they are following Me." ²⁸ And I am giving them life eonian, and they should by no means be perishing for the eon, and no one shall be snatching them out of My hand." ²⁹ My Father, Who has given them to Me, is greater than all, and no one is able to be snatching them out of My Father's hand." ³⁰ I and the Father, We are one." ³¹ Again, then, the Jews bear stones that they should be stoning Him." ³² Jesus answered them, "Many ideal acts I show you from My Father. Because of what act of them are you stoning Me? ³³ The Jews answered Him, "For an ideal act we are not stoning you, but for blasphemy, and that you, being a man, are making yourself God." ³⁴ Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, that 'I say you are gods'? " ³⁵ If He said those were gods, to whom the word of God came (and the scripture can not be annulled), ³⁶ are you saying to Him Whom the Father hallows and dispatches into the world that 'You are blaspheming,' seeing that I said, 'Son of God am I'? ³⁷ If I am not doing My Father's works, do not believe Me." ³⁸ Yet if I am doing them, and if ever you are not believing Me, be believing the works, that you may be knowing and believing that in Me is the Father, and I am in the Father."

¹⁶ And I shall be asking the Father, and He will be giving you another consoler, that it, indeed, may be with you for the eon -" ¹⁷ 17 the spirit of truth, which the world can not get, for it is not beholding it, neither is knowing it. Yet you know it, for it is remaining with you and will be in you."

²⁷ Peace I am leaving with you. My peace I am giving to you. Not according as the world is giving to you, am I giving to you. Let not your heart be disturbed, neither let it be timid."

³⁶ Of the word He dispatches to the sons of Israel, bringing the evangel of peace through Jesus Christ (He is Lord of all),

²⁴ saying,'Fear not, Paul! Before Caesar you must stand. And lo! graciously has God granted you all those who are sailing with you.'"

²¹ What fruit, then, had you then? - of which you are now ashamed, for, indeed, the consummation of those things is death."

⁹ Yet the nations are to glorify God for His mercy, according as it is written, "Therefore I shall be acclaiming Thee among the nations,And to Thy name shall I be playing music." ¹⁰ And again he is saying, "Be merry, ye nations, with His people!" ¹¹ And again he is saying, "Praise the Lord, all the nations,And "let all the peoples laud Him." ¹² And again Isaiah is saying, there will be "the root of Jesse, And He Who is rising to Chief of the nations: On Him will the nations rely." ¹³ Now may the God of expectation be filling you with all joy and peace in believing, for you to be super-abounding in expectation, in the power of holy spirit." ¹⁴ Now I myself also am persuaded concerning you, my brethren, that you yourselves also are bulging with goodness, filled with all knowledge, able also to be admonishing one another." ¹⁵ Yet more daringly do I write to you, in part, as prompting you, because of the grace being given to me from God,

³¹ For if we adjudicated ourselves, we would not be judged."

¹³ Watch! Stand firm in the faith! Be manly! Be staunch!

⁹ For if in the dispensation of condemnation is glory, much rather the dispensation of righteousness is exceeding in glory." ¹⁰ For that also which has been glorified has not been glorified in this particular, on account of the glory transcendent."

⁸ Now the scripture, perceiving before that God is justifying the nations by faith, brings before an evangel to Abraham, that In you shall all the nations be blessed."

¹⁴ For He is our Peace, Who makes both one, and razes the central wall of the barrier" ¹⁵ (the enmity in His flesh), nullifying the law of precepts in decrees, that He should be creating the two, in Himself, into one new humanity, making peace;" ¹⁶ and should be reconciling both in one body to God through the cross, killing the enmity in it." ¹⁷ And, coming, He brings the evangel of peace to you, those afar, and peace to those near,

¹⁰ For the rest, brethren mine, be invigorated in the Lord and in the might of His strength."

¹⁹ for in Him the entire complement delights to dwell, ²⁰ and through Him to reconcile all to Him (making peace through the blood of His cross), through Him, whether those on the earth or those in the heavens." ²¹ And you, being once estranged and enemies in comprehension, by wicked acts, yet now He reconciles"

⁹ for in Him the entire complement of the Deity is dwelling bodily.

¹⁶ And avowedly great is the secret of devoutness, which was manifested in flesh, justified in spirit, seen by messengers, heralded among the nations, believed in the world, taken up in glory."

¹ You, then, child of mine, be invigorated by the grace which is in Christ Jesus."

¹⁹ Howbeit, the solid foundation of God stands, having this seal: The Lord knew those who are His, and, Let everyone who is naming the name of the Lord withdraw from injustice. "

¹⁷ May it not be reckoned against them! Yet the Lord stood beside me, and He invigorates me, that through me the heralding may be fully discharged, and all the nations should hear; and I am rescued out of the mouth of the lion."

⁹ upholding the faithful word according to the teaching, that he may be able to entreat with sound teaching as well as to expose those who contradict."

³⁷ For still how very little, He Who is coming will be arriving and not delaying."

And jurisdiction was given them over the fourth of the earth, to kill with the blade and with famine and with death and by the wild beasts of the earth." ⁹ And when It opens the fifth seal, I perceived underneath the altar the souls of those who have been slain because of the word of God and because of the testimony which they had." ¹⁰ And they cry with a loud voice, saying, "Till when, O Owner, holy and true, art Thou not judging and avenging our blood on those dwelling on the earth? ¹¹ And to each of them was given a white robe, and it was declared to them that they should be resting still a little time, till their number should be completed by their fellow slaves also, and their brethren, who are about to be killed even as they were." ¹² And I perceived, when It opens the sixth seal, and a great cataclysm occurred, and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood, ¹³ and the stars of heaven fall on the earth as a fig tree is casting its shriveled figs, quaking under a great wind." ¹⁴ And heaven recoils as a scroll rolling up, and every mountain and island was moved out of its place." ¹⁵ And the kings of the earth, and the magnates, and the captains, and the rich, and the strong, and every slave and freeman, hide themselves in the caves and in the rocks of the mountains." ¹⁶ And they are saying to the mountains and to the rocks, "Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him Who is sitting on the throne, and from the indignation of the Lambkin, ¹⁷ for the great day of Their indignation came, and who is able to stand?

And thunders and voices and lightnings and an earthquake occurred." ⁶ And the seven messengers who have the seven trumpets make themselves ready that they should be trumpeting. ⁷ And the first trumpets. And there came to be hail and fire mixed with blood, and it was cast into the earth, and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all green grass was burned up." ⁸ And the second messenger trumpets. And as it were a huge mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea, and a third of the sea became blood, ⁹ and a third of the creatures in the sea, which have a soul, died, and a third of the ships decayed." ¹⁰ And the third messenger trumpets. And a large star falls out of heaven, burning as a torch. And it falls on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water." ¹¹ And the name of the star is said to be Absinth. And a third of the waters became absinth, and many of mankind died of the waters, seeing that they were made bitter." ¹² And the fourth messenger trumpets. And a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were eclipsed, that a third of them may be darkened, and the day may not be appearing for a third of it, and the night likewise."

²⁰ And the rest of mankind, who were not killed in these calamities, repent not of the acts of their hands- that they will not be worshiping the demons and idols of gold and silver and copper and stone and wood, which are neither able to be observing nor to be hearing nor to be walking-." ²¹ and they repent not of their murders, nor of their enchantments, nor of their prostitution, nor of their thefts."

⁹ And those out of the peoples and tribes and languages and nations are observing their corpses three days and a half, and they are not letting their corpses be placed into a tomb."

And Babylon the great is brought to remembrance in the sight of God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fury of His indignation."
