In the best of the land cause your father and your brothers to dwell. Dwelling are they in the land of Goshen. And should you, forsooth, know able mortals among them, then place them as chiefs over the cattle which are mine. ⁷ And bringing is Joseph Jacob, his father, and is standing him before Pharaoh. And Jacob is blessing Pharaoh. ⁸ And saying is Pharaoh to Jacob, "How have been the days of the years of your life? ⁹ And saying is Jacob to Pharaoh, "The days of the years of my life's sojourning are a hundred and thirty years. Why should we die in front of you? For the limit of our money has been reached. ¹⁶ And saying is Joseph, "Grant your cattle, and give it will I to you, bread for your cattle, if the money reaches its limit. ¹⁷ And bringing are they their cattle to Joseph, and giving is Joseph to them bread for horses, and for cattle of the flocks, and for cattle of the herds, and for asses. And sustaining them is he with bread, and fodder for all their cattle in that year. ¹⁸ And spent is that year. And coming are they to him in the second year, and saying to him, "Not suppress will we from my lord that spent is the money, and the cattle and the beasts belong to my lord, then nothing remains before my lord, barring our bodies and our ground. ¹⁹ Why shall we die before your eyes and our ground be desolate? Buy us and our ground with bread, and we and our ground will become servants of Pharaoh. And give seed for sowing and we shall live and not die, and the ground will not be desolate. ²⁰ And buying is Joseph all the ground of Egypt for Pharaoh, for the Egyptians sell to Pharaoh each man his field, seeing that a fast hold has the famine over them. And coming is the land to be Pharaoh's. ²¹ And the people are made to serve him as servants from one end of Egypt's boundary unto its other end. ²² But the ground of the priests alone, this Joseph does not buy, for there is a statutory dole for the priests from Pharaoh, and they eat the statutory dole which Pharaoh gives to them. Therefore they did not sell their ground. ²³ And saying is Joseph to all the Egyptians, "Behold! Buy do I you today, with your ground, for Pharaoh. Lo! for you there is seed, and sow shall you the ground. ²⁴ And it comes, of the incomes, you give the fifth handful to Pharaoh, and four handfuls shall become yours, for seed for the field, and for your food, and for all who are in your household, and for food for your tots. ²⁵ And saying are they, "Preserving are you our lives. Finding are we grace in the eyes of my lord, and we become Pharaoh's servants. ²⁶ And Joseph is constituting it for a statute over the ground of Egypt till this day--to Pharaoh a fifth. But the ground of the priests, theirs alone does not become Pharaoh's. ²⁷ And dwelling is Israel in the land of Egypt, in the land of Goshen. And holdings have they in it and are fruitful, and increasing exceedingly. ²⁸ And living is Jacob in the land of Egypt seventeen years. ² These are the genealogical annals of Jacob. Joseph, seventeen years of age, comes to be grazing the flock with his brothers, and he, the lad, is with the sons of Bilhah and the sons of Zilpah, wives of his father. And bringing is Joseph their evil mutterings to Israel, their father.

³⁴ Doing this will Pharaoh, and he will give the supervision to supervisors over the land and a fifth of all the produce of the land of Egypt will they take in the seven years of satisfaction.

⁴⁵ And calling is Pharaoh Joseph's name Zaphnath-paaneah. And giving him is he Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, for a wife. And forth is Joseph faring over the land of Egypt.

⁴⁸ And getting together is he all the food of the seven years of satisfaction which come to be in the land of Egypt. And bestowing is he the food in the cities. The food of the field of the city which surrounds it, he bestows in its midst.

⁵⁰ And to Joseph are born two sons, ere the seven famine years are coming, whom Asenath, daughter of Potiphera, priest of On, bears for him.

⁵⁶ And the famine comes to be on the surface of all the earth. And opening is Joseph all the cereal stores which are among them, and is retailing to all Egypt. And the famine is holding fast in the land of Egypt.

"And there I entombed Leah. ³² Bought was the field and the cave which is in it from the sons of Heth.

⁵ my father adjured me before his death saying, Behold! I am dying. In my tomb which I dug for myself in the land of Canaan, there shall you entomb me.' And it comes to be an exceedingly heavy camp. ¹⁰ And coming are they unto the threshing site of Atad, which is across the Jordan, and wailing there are they with an exceedingly great and heavy wailing. And making is he a mourning for his father seven days. ¹¹ And seeing are the dwellers in the land, the Canaanites, the mourning on the threshing site of Atad, and saying are they, "A heavy mourning is this for the Egyptians. Therefore its name is called "Abel-Mizrai., which is across the Jordan. ¹² And doing for him are his sons so as he instructs them. ¹³ And carrying him are his sons to the land of Canaan, and entombing him are they in the double cave of the field, the cave which Abraham bought with the field, for a freehold, for a tomb, from Ephron, the Hittite, adjoining Mamre. ¹⁴ And returning is Joseph to Egypt, he and his brothers and all those going up with him to entomb his father, after his father's entombment.

¹¹ Hence they placed over them chiefs of labor conscriptions that they might humiliate them with their burdens. So they were building as bulwark cities for Pharaoh, Pithom and Raamses. ¹² Yet just as they were humiliating them so they multiplied and so they breached forth. Hence the Egyptians were irritated in view of the sons of Israel.

⁴ However, I set up My covenant with them to give to them the land of Canaan, the land of their sojournings, in which they had sojourned.

⁷ Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.

²² Yet I will distinguish, in that day, the land of Goshen on which My people are standing, that by no means there come to be there a mixture of flies so that you may know that I am Yahweh within the land.

¹⁰ So they took the limekiln quicklime and stood before Pharaoh. And Moses sprinkled it toward the heavens, and there came to be boils, budding out into pustules on human and on beast.

²¹ Yet he who was not setting his heart on the word of Yahweh, forsook his servants and his cattle in the field.

²⁶ But in the land of Goshen, where the sons of Israel were, no hail came.

³² Moreover, your flocks, even your herds, take just as you have spoken, and go! However you will bless me.

³⁷ The sons of Israel journeyed from Rameses toward Succoth, about six hundred thousand men on foot, those of mastery, besides the little ones.

²¹ Now you shall perceive among all the people men of ability, fearful of Elohim, men of truth, hating gain. You will place these over them as chiefs of thousands, chiefs of hundreds, chiefs of fifties and chiefs of tens.

¹⁹ Guard yourself lest you should forsake the Levite any of your days on your ground.

⁵ And you will respond and say before Yahweh your Elohim:My father was a lost Aramean, and he went down to Egypt, sojourned there with few adult males and became there a nation, great, substantial and numerous.

¹⁴ Then Yahweh said to Moses:Behold, near are your days to die. Call Joshua and station yourselves in the tent of appointment, that I may instruct him. So Moses and Joshua went and stationed themselves in the tent of appointment.

¹ This is the blessing with which Moses, the man of Elohim, blessed the sons of Israel before his death,

⁷ Moses was a hundred and twenty years old at his death. Neither had his eye dimmed nor had his vitality fled.

¹³ And Joshua blesses him, and gives Hebron to Caleb son of Jephunneh for an inheritance,

¹ And the heads of the fathers of the Levites draw nigh unto Eleazar the priest, and unto Joshua son of Nun, and unto the heads of the fathers of the tribes of the sons of Israel, ² and they speak unto them in Shiloh, in the land of Canaan, saying, `Yahweh commanded by the hand of Moses to give to us cities to dwell in, and their suburbs for our cattle.. ³ And the sons of Israel give to the Levites, out of their inheritance, at the command of Yahweh, these cities and their suburbs. ⁴ And the lot goes out for the families of the Kohathite, and there are for the sons of Aaron the priest (of the Levites), out of the tribe of Judah, and out of the tribe of Simeon, and out of the tribe of Benjamin, by lot thirteen cities, ⁵ and for the sons of Kohath who are left, out of the families of the tribe of Ephraim, and out of the tribe of Dan, and out of the half of the tribe of Manasseh, by lot ten cities. ⁶ And for the sons of Gershon [are], out of the families of the tribe of Issachar, and out of the tribe of Asher, and out of the tribe of Naphtali, and out of the half tribe of Manasseh in Bashan, by lot, thirteen cities. ⁷ For the sons of Merari, for their families, [are], out of the tribe of Reuben, and out of the tribe of Gad, and out of the tribe of Zebulun, twelve cities. ⁸ And the sons of Israel give to the Levites these cities and their suburbs, as Yahweh commanded by the hand of Moses, by lot. ⁹ And they give out of the tribe of the sons of Judah, and out of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, these cities which are called by name;" ¹⁰ and they are for the sons of Aaron, of the families of the Kohathite, of the sons of Levi, for theirs has been the first lot;" ¹¹ and they give to them the city of Arba father of Anak (it [is] Hebron), in the hill-country of Judah, and its suburbs round about it;" ¹² and the field of the city and its villages they have given to Caleb son of Jephunneh for his possession. ¹³ And to the sons of Aaron the priest they have given the city of refuge [for] the man-slayer, Hebron and its suburbs, and Libnah and its suburbs, ¹⁴ and Jattir and its suburbs, and Eshtemoa and its suburbs, ¹⁵ and Holon and its suburbs, and Debir and its suburbs, ¹⁶ and Ain and its suburbs, and Juttah and its suburbs, Beth-Shemesh and its suburbs; so to all these cities. ⁴³ And Yahweh gives to Israel the whole of the land which He has sworn to give to their fathers, and they possess it, and dwell in it;" ⁴⁴ and Yahweh gives rest to them round about, according to all that which He has sworn to their fathers, and there has not stood a man in their presence of all their enemies, the whole of their enemies has Yahweh given into their hand;" ⁴⁵ there has not fallen a thing of all the good thing which Yahweh spoke unto the house of Israel--the whole has come.

²⁹ And it comes to pass, after these things, that Joshua son of Nun, servant of Yahweh, dies, a son of a hundred and ten years,

⁵ and he said to the men of Succoth, `Give, I pray you, cakes of bread to the people who [are] at my feet, for they [are] wearied, and I am pursuing after Zebah and Zalmunna kings of Midian..

²⁴ And let it be known to you treasurers:As for any of the priests and the Levites, the musicians, the gatekeepers, the Nethinim and others serving at this House of Eloah, you have no authority to impose tribute, tax or toll on them.

³ and say to the king, `Let the king to the eon live! wherefore should not my face be sad, when the city, the place of the graves of my fathers, [is] a waste, and its gates have been consumed with fire?.

⁵ and say to the king, `If to the king [it be] good, and if your servant be pleasing before you, that you send me unto Judah, unto the city of the graves of my fathers, and I built it..

² yea, there are who are saying, `Our sons, and our daughters, we--are many, and we receive corn, and eat, and live.. <sup>3</sup> And there are who are saying, `Our fields, and our vineyards, and our houses, we are pledging, and we receive corn for the famine..

² Here, furthermore, it is being sought in administrators that any such may be found faithful."

¹³ Are you not aware that the workers at the sacred things are eating of the things of the sanctuary? Those settling beside the altar have their portion with the altar.

³² And become not a stumbling block to Jews as well as to Greeks and to the ecclesia of God,

¹⁴ being aware that He Who rouses the Lord Jesus will be rousing us also, through Jesus, and will be presenting us together with you."

⁶ Being, then, courageous always, and aware that, being at home in the body, we are away from home from the Lord"

¹⁰ Now may He Who is supplying seed to the sower, and bread for food, be furnishing and multiplying your seed and be making the product of your righteousness grow,

⁶ Now let him who is being instructed in the word be contributing to him who is instructing, in all good things."

⁸ But, to be sure, I am also deeming all to be a forfeit because of the superiority of the knowledge of Christ Jesus, my Lord, because of Whom I forfeited all, and am deeming it to be refuse, that I should be gaining Christ, ⁹ and may be found in Him, not having my righteousness, which is of law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is from God for faith:"

⁸ For the rest, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is grave, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is agreeable, whatever is renowned - if there is any virtue, and if any applause, be taking these into account."

²⁸ Whom we are announcing, admonishing every man and teaching every man in all wisdom, that we should be presenting every man mature in Chist Jesus;"

⁵ In wisdom be walking toward those outside, reclaiming the era,

⁷ But we became gentle in your midst, as a nurse should be cherishing her own children."

¹⁰ For even when we were with you, we gave this charge to you: that "If anyone is not willing to work, neither let him eat."

⁸ for bodily exercise is beneficial for a few things, yet devoutness is beneficial for all, having promise for the life which now is, and that which is impending."

⁴ Now if any widow has children or descendants, let them learn to be devoted to their own household first and reciprocate by paying their progenitors, for this is welcome in God's sight."

⁸ Now if anyone is not providing for his own, and especially his family, he has disowned the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever."

¹⁷ Let elders who have presided ideally be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who are toiling in word and teaching,

¹¹ For both He Who is hallowing and those who are being hallowed are all of One, for which cause He is not ashamed to be calling them brethren,

⁷ Now, beyond all contradiction, the inferior is blessed by the better."

²⁷ And, in as much as it is reserved to the men to be dying once, yet after this a judging,

⁹ By faith he sojourns in the land of promise as in an alien land, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the joint enjoyers of the allotment of the same promise. " ¹⁰ For he waited for the city having foundations, whose Artificer and Architect is God. " ¹¹ By faith Sarah herself also obtained power for the disruption of seed, and brought forth beyond the period of her prime, since she deems the Promiser faithful;" ¹² wherefore, also, were begotten by one, and these of one who is deadened, according as the constellations of heaven in multitude, and as the sand beside the sea shore innumerable." ¹³ In faith died all these, not being requited with the promises, but perceiving them ahead and saluting them, and avowing that they are strangers and expatriates on the earth. " ¹⁴ For those who are saying such things are disclosing that they are seeking for a country of their own. ¹⁵ And, if, indeed, they remembered that from which they came out, they might have had occasion to go back." ¹⁶ Yet now they are craving a better, that is, a celestial; wherefore God is not ashamed of them, to be invoked as their God, for He makes ready for them a city."

²¹ By faith Jacob, when dying, blesses each of the sons of Joseph, and worships, leaning on the top of his staff." ²² By faith Joseph, at his decease, remembers concerning the exodus of the sons of Israel, and gives directions concerning his bones."

¹⁴ For here we are not having a permanent city, but we are seeking for the one which is impending."

¹⁴ who are not versed in that which is the morrow's, for what is your life? For a vapor are you, which is appearing briefly and thereupon disappearing-"

¹¹ Beloved, I am entreating you, as sojourners and expatriates, to be abstaining from the fleshly lusts which are warring against the soul,

¹⁷ Honor all; love the brotherhood; fear God; honor the king.

¹⁰ Each, according as he obtained a gracious gift, be dispensing it among yourselves, as ideal administrators of the varied grace of God;"

²⁴ Now to Him Who is able to guard you from tripping, and to stand you flawless in sight of His glory, in exultation,
