2 Kings 25:11

11 And the rest of the people, those left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to the king of Babylon, and the rest of the multitude, has Nebuzaradan chief of the executioners removed;"

2 Chronicles 36:1-23

1 And the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah, and cause him to reign instead of his father in Jerusalem. 2 A son of three and twenty years [is] Jehoahaz in his reigning, and three months he has reigned in Jerusalem, 3 and turn him aside does the king of Egypt in Jerusalem, and fines the land a hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;" 4 and the king of Egypt causes Eliakim his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turns his name to Jehoiakim; and Jehoahaz his brother has Necho taken, and brings him in to Egypt. 5 A son of twenty and five years [is] Jehoiakim in his reigning, and eleven years he has reigned in Jerusalem, and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh his Elohim;" 6 against him has Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon come up, and binds him in brazen fetters to take him away to Babylon. 7 And of the vessels of the house of Yahweh has Nebuchadnezzar brought in to Babylon, and puts them in his temple in Babylon. 8 And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and his abominations that he has done, and that which is found against him, lo, they are written on the book of the kings of Israel and Judah, and reign does Jehoiachin his son in his stead. 9 A son of eight years is Jehoiachin in his reigning, and three months and ten days he has reigned in Jerusalem, and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh;" 10 and at the turn of the year has king Nebuchadnezzar sent and brings him in to Babylon, with the desirable vessels of the house of Yahweh, and causes Zedekiah his brother to reign over Judah and Jerusalem. 11 A son of twenty and one years [is] Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he has reigned in Jerusalem;" 12 and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh his Elohim, he has not been humbled before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of Yahweh;" 13 and also, against king Nebuchadnezzar he has rebelled, who had caused him to swear by Elohim, and he hardens his neck, and strengthens his heart, against turning back unto Yahweh, Elohim of Israel. 14 Also, all the heads of the priests, and the people, having multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of Yahweh that He has sanctified in Jerusalem. 15 And Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, sends unto them by the hand of His messengers--rising early and sending--for He has had pity on His people, and on His habitation, 16 and they are mocking at the messengers of Elohim, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Yahweh against His people--till there is no healing. 17 And He causes to go up against them the king of the Chaldeans, and he slays their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and has had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged--the whole He has given into his hand. 18 And all the vessels of the house of Elohim, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of Yahweh, and the treasures of the king and of his princes--the whole he has brought in to Babylon. 19 And they burn the house of Elohim, and break down the wall of Jerusalem, and all its palaces they have burnt with fire, and all its desirable vessels--to destruction. 20 And he removes those left of the sword unto Babylon, and they are to him and to his sons for servants, till the reigning of the kingdom of Persia, 21 to fulfil the word of Yahweh in the mouth of Jeremiah, till the land has enjoyed its sabbaths; all the days of the desolation it kept sabbath--to the fulness of seventy years. 22 And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of Yahweh in the mouth of Jeremiah, has Yahweh waked up the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causes an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying, 23 `Thus said Cyrus king of Persia, All kingdoms of the earth has Yahweh, Elohim of the heavens, given to me, and He has laid a charge on me to build to Him a house in Jerusalem, that [is] in Judah; who is among you of all His people? Yahweh his Elohim [is] with him, and he does go up..

Ezra 5:8

8 Let it become known to the king that we departed to the province of Judah to the great House of Eloah. It is being rebuilt of dressed stone and timber placed in the sidewalls. This work is thoroughly done and prospering under their hands.

2 But it was in the castle of Ecbatana in the province of Media that one roll was found, and this was written within it:Memorandum.

Esther 1:1

1 It was in the days of Xerxes--that Xerxes who was reigning over 127 provinces from India unto Nubia.

Esther 1:3

3 he gave a banquet in the third year of his reign for all his chief officials and courtiers:the retinue of Persia and Media, the highborn and the chiefs of the provinces who were before him,

Esther 1:8

8 Yet drinking was according to this edict:There was to be no bother, for the king had made this deliberation to every wine steward of his household to serve according to each man's approval.

Esther 1:11

11 to bring queen Vashti before the king, with the royal diadem, to show off her loveliness to the peoples and the chief officials, for she was good-looking in appearance.

Esther 8:9

9 So the king's scribes were called at that time, in the third month, that is, the month of Sivan, on the twenty-third day of it. All was written, just as Mordecai instructed them, to the Jews and to the satraps, the viceroys and chief officials of all the provinces, 127 provinces from India unto Nubia, to each province in its provincial writing, and to each people in its popular tongue, and to the Jews in their writing and in their tongue.

Jeremiah 39:1-18

1 In the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, come has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon and all his force unto Jerusalem, and they lay siege against it;" 2 in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, in the ninth of the month, has the city been broken up;" 3 and come in do all the heads of the king of Babylon, and they sit at the middle gate, Nergal-Sharezer, Samgar-Nebo, Sarsechim, chief of the eunuchs, Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the rest of the heads of the king of Babylon." 4 And it comes to pass, when Zedekiah king of Judah, and all the men of war, have seen them, that they flee and go forth by night from the city, the way of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls, and he goes forth the way of the plain." 5 And the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after them, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and they take him, and bring him up unto Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaks with him--judgments." 6 And the king of Babylon slaughters the sons of Zedekiah, in Riblah, before his eyes, yea, all the freemen of Judah has the king of Babylon slaughtered." 7 And the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and he binds him with brazen fetters, to bring him in to Babylon." 8 And the house of the king, and the house of the people, have the Chaldeans burnt with fire, and the walls of Jerusalem they have broken down." 9 And the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those falling who have fallen to him, and the remnant of the people who are left, has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, removed [to] Babylon." 10 And of the poor people, who have nothing, has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, left in the land of Judah, and he gives to them vineyards and fields on the same day." 11 And Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon gives a charge concerning Jeremiah, by the hand of Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, saying, 12 `Take him, and place your eyes upon him, and do no evil thing to him, but as he speaks unto you, so do with him.'" 13 And Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners sends, and Nebushazban, chief of the eunuchs, and Nergal-Sharezer, chief of the Mages, and all the chiefs of the king of Babylon;" 14 yea, they send and take Jeremiah out of the court of the prison, and give him unto Gedaliah son of Ahikam, son of Shaphan, to carry him home, and he dwells in the midst of the people." 15 And unto Jeremiah has a word of Yahweh been--in his being detained in the court of the prison--saying: 16 `Go, and you have spoken to Ebed-Melech the Cushite, saying:Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, Elohim of Israel:Lo, I am bringing in My words unto this city for evil, and not for good, and they have been before you in that day." 17 And I have delivered you in that day--an affirmation of Yahweh--and you are not given into the hand of the men of whose face you are afraid, 18 for I do certainly deliver you, and by sword you fall not, and your life has been to you for a spoil, for you have trusted in Me--an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

Jeremiah 52:1-34

1 A son of twenty and one years [is] Zedekiah in his reigning, and eleven years he has reigned in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Hamutal daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah." 2 and he does the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, according to all that Jehoiakim has done, 3 for, because of the anger of Yahweh, it has been in Jerusalem and Judah till He has cast them from before His face, and Zedekiah does rebel against the king of Babylon." 4 And it comes to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come has Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon--he and all his force--against Jerusalem, and they encamp against it, and build against it a fortification round about;" 5 and the city comes into siege till the eleventh year of king Zedekiah. 6 In the fourth month, in the ninth of the month, when the famine is severe in the city, and there has been no bread for the people of the land, 7 then is the city broken up, and all the men of war flee, and go forth from the city by night, the way of the gate between the two walls, that [is] by the king's garden--and the Chaldeans [are] by the city round about--and they go the way of the plain." 8 And the forces of the Chaldeans pursue after the king, and overtake Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho, and all his forces have been scattered from him, 9 and they capture the king, and bring him up unto the king of Babylon to Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he speaks with him--judgments." 10 And the king of Babylon slaughters the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, and also all the princes of Judah has he slaughtered in Riblah;" 11 and the eyes of Zedekiah he has blinded, and he binds him in brazen fetters, and the king of Babylon brings him to Babylon, and puts him in the house of inspection unto the day of his death." 12 And in the fifth month, in the tenth of the month--it [is] the nineteenth year of king Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon--come has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners; he has stood before the king of Babylon in Jerusalem, 13 and he burns the house of Yahweh, and the house of the king, and all the houses of Jerusalem, even every great house he has burned with fire, 14 and all the walls of Jerusalem round about broken down have all the forces of the Chaldeans that [are] with the chief of the executioners. 15 And of the poor of the people, and the remnant of the people who are left in the city, and those who are falling away, who have fallen unto the king of Babylon, and the remnant of the multitude, has Nebuzar-Adan chief of the executioners, removed;" 16 and of the poor of the land has Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, left for vine-dressers and for husbandmen." 17 And the pillars of brass that [are] to the house of Yahweh, and the bases, and the brasen sea that [is] in the house of Yahweh, have the Chaldeans broken, and they bear away all the brass of them to Babylon;" 18 and the pots, and the shovels, and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and all the vessels of brass with which they minister, they have taken away;" 19 and the basins, and the fire-pans, and the bowls, and the pots, and the candlesticks, and the spoons, and the cups, the gold of that which [is] gold, and the silver of that which [is] silver, has the chief of the executioners taken." 20 The two pillars, the one sea, and the twelve brazen oxen that [are] beneath the bases, that king Solomon made for the house of Yahweh, there was no weighing of the brass of all these vessels." 21 As to the pillars, eighteen cubits [is] the height of the one pillar, and a cord of twelve cubits does compass it, and its thickness [is] four fingers hollow." 22 And the chapiter upon it [is] of brass, and the height of the one chapiter [is] five cubits, and net-work and pomegranates [are] on the chapiter round about, the whole [is] of brass; and like these have the second pillar, and pomegranates." 23 And the pomegranates are ninety and six on a side, all the pomegranates [are] a hundred on the net-work round about." 24 And the chief of the executioners takes Seraiah the head priest, and Zephaniah the second priest, and the three keepers of the threshold, 25 and out of the city he has taken a certain eunuch, who has been inspector over the men of war, and seven men of those seeing the king's face, who have been found in the city, and the head scribe of the host, who musters the people of the land, and sixty men of the people of the land, who are found in the midst of the city;" 26 and Nebuzar-Adan, chief of the executioners, takes them, and brings them unto the king of Babylon to Riblah, 27 and the king of Babylon smites them, and puts them to death in Riblah, in the land of Hamath, and he removes Judah from off its own ground." 28 This [is] the people whom Nebuchadrezzar has removed:in the seventh year, of Jews, three thousand and twenty and three;" 29 in the eighteenth year of Nebuchadrezzar--from Jerusalem, souls, eight hundred thirty and two;" 30 in the three and twentieth year of Nebuchadrezzar, has Nebuzar-Adan chief of the guard removed of Jewish souls, seven hundred forty and five; all the souls [are] four thousand and six hundred." 31 And it comes to pass, in the thirty and seventh year of the removal of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, in the twenty and fifth of the month, has Evil-Merodach king of Babylon lifted up, in the year of his reign, the head of Jehoiachin king of Judah, and brings him out from the house of restraint, 32 and speaks with him good things, and sets his throne above the throne of the kings who [are] with him in Babylon, 33 and he has changed his prison garments, and he has eaten bread before him continually, all the days of his life." 34 And his allowance--a continual allowance--has been given to him by the king of Babylon, the matter of a day in its day, till the day of his death--all days of his life."

Lamentations 1:3

3 Deported is Judah after humiliation and much servitude; She dwells among the nations but finds no rest; All her pursuers have overtaken her in the narrow places.

Lamentations 1:5

5 Her foes have become the head; her enemies are at ease; For Yahweh Himself has afflicted her because of her many transgressions; Her infants have gone into captivity before the foe.

Lamentations 4:22

22 Your wretchedness will come to end, daughter of Zion; He shall not continue to carry you away into exile; He will note your depravity, daughter of Edom; He will expose your sins."

Zephaniah 2:7

7 And the sea board shall come to be for the remnant of the house of Judah; on them shall they graze; in the houses of Ashkelon shall they recline in the evening, for Yahweh, their Elohim, shall visit them, and will reverse their captivity."

Acts 23:34

34 Now, reading it, and inquiring of what prefecture he is, and ascertaining that he is from Cilicia,
