¹ And He said unto me, `Son of man, that which you find eat, eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.'" <sup>2</sup> And I open my mouth, and He causes me to eat this roll." <sup>3</sup> And He said unto me, `Son of man, your belly you do feed, and your bowels you do fill with this roll that I am giving unto you;' and I eat it, and it is in my mouth as honey for sweetness." ⁴ And He said unto me, `Son of man, go, enter in unto the house of Israel, and you have spoken with My words unto them." <sup>5</sup> For, not unto a people deep of lip and heavy of tongue [are] you sent--unto the house of Israel;" <sup>6</sup> not unto many peoples, deep of lip and heavy of tongue, whose words you do not understand. If I had not sent you unto them--they, they do hearken unto you, <sup>7</sup> but the house of Israel are not willing to hearken unto you, for they are not willing to hearken unto Me, for all the house of Israel are brazen-faced and strong-hearted." <sup>8</sup> `Lo, I have made your face strong against their face, and your forehead strong against their forehead." ⁹ As an adamant harder than a rock I have made your forehead; you do not fear them, nor are you affrighted before them, for a rebellious house [are] they.'" ¹⁰ And He said unto me, `Son of man, all My words, that I speak unto you, receive with your heart, and with your ears hear;" <sup>11</sup> and go, enter in unto the Removed, unto the sons of your people, and you have spoken unto them, and have said unto them:Thus said the Lord Yahweh:whether they hear, or whether they forbear.'" <sup>12</sup> And lift me up does a spirit, and I hear behind me a noise, a great rushing--`Blessed [is] the honor of Yahweh from His place!' --" ¹³ even a noise of the wings of the living creatures touching one another, and a noise of the wheels over-against them, even a noise of a great rushing." ¹⁴ And a spirit has lifted me up, and does take me away, and I go bitterly, in the heat of my spirit, and the hand of Yahweh on me [is] strong." ¹⁵ And I come in unto the Removed, at Tel-Ahib, who are dwelling at the river Chebar, and where they are dwelling I also dwell seven days, causing astonishment in their midst." ¹⁶ And it comes to pass, at the end of seven days, ¹⁷ that there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `Son of man, a watchman I have given you to the house of Israel, and you have heard from My mouth a word, and have warned them from Me." <sup>18</sup> In My saying to the wicked:You do surely die; and you have not warned him, nor have spoken to warn the wicked from his wicked way, so that he does live; he--the wicked--in his iniquity dies, and his blood from your hand I require." <sup>19</sup> And you, because you have warned the wicked, and he has not turned back from his wickedness, and from his wicked way, he in his iniquity dies, and you your soul have delivered." <sup>20</sup> `And in the turning back of the righteous from his righteousness, and he has done perversity, and I have put a stumbling-block before him, he dies; because you have not warned him, in his sin he dies, and not remembered is his righteousness that he has done, and his blood from your hand I require." ²¹ And you, because you have warned him--the righteous--that the righteous sin not, and he has not sinned, he surely lives, because he has been warned; and you your soul have delivered.'" ²² And there is on me there a hand of Yahweh, and He said to me, `Rise, go forth to the valley, and there I do speak with you.'" <sup>23</sup> And I rise and go forth unto the valley, and lo, there the honor of Yahweh is standing as the honor that I had seen by the river Chebar, and I fall on my face." <sup>24</sup> And come into me does a spirit, and causes me to stand on my feet, and He speaks with me, and said unto me, `Go in, be shut up in the midst of your house." ²⁵ `And you, son of man, lo, they have put on you thick bands, and have bound you with them, and you go not forth in their midst;" ²⁶ and your tongue I cause to cleave unto your palate, and you have been dumb, and are not to them for a reprover, for a rebellious house [are] they." ²⁷ And in My speaking with you, I do open your mouth, and you have said unto them:Thus said the Lord Yahweh; the hearer does hear, and the forbearer does forbear; for a rebellious house [are] they."

¹⁷ Yet from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, you are not to be eating from it, for in the day you eat from it, to die shall you be dying.

³ yet from the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, the Elohim says, `Not eat of it shall you, and not touch it shall you, lest you be dying.. ⁴ And saying is the serpent to the woman, "Not to die shall you be dying,

⁵ Yea, and your blood for your souls I will require. From the hand of every living animal will I require it, and from the hand of humanity. From the hand of a man's brother I will require the soul of a human. ⁶ The shedder of the blood of a human, by a human his blood shall be shed, for in the image of the Elohim has He made humanity.

²² And answering them is Reuben, saying, "Did not I speak to you, saying, `You must not sin against the boy'? And not hearken did you. And, moreover, behold! His blood is required.

¹⁰ And coming are they unto the threshing site of Atad, which is across the Jordan, and wailing there are they with an exceedingly great and heavy wailing. And making is he a mourning for his father seven days.

¹¹ Yahweh said to him: Who make the mouth for a human or Who is making one mute or deaf or with eye unclosed or blind? Is it not I, Yahweh? ¹² And now go, and I shall come to be with your mouth and direct you what you shall speak.

¹⁵ You will speak to him and place the words in his mouth. And I shall come to be with your mouth and with his mouth and direct both of you as to what you shall do. ¹⁶ So he will speak for you to the people; it will come to be that he shall become a mouth for you, and you shall become an elohim for him.

⁴ Then Moses said: Thus Yahweh has spoken, About midnight I am going forth in the midst of Egypt. ⁵ And every firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh, sitting on his throne, unto the firstborn of the maid who is behind the millstones and every firstborn of beast. ⁶ There will come to be a great cry in all the land of Egypt, such as it has not occurred, and such as it shall not occur again. ⁷ Yet against any of the sons of Israel, not a cur shall point his tongue against a man or even a beast, so that you may know that Yahweh is distinguishing between Egypt and Israel. ⁸ Then all these, your servants, will descend to me and bow themselves down to me, saying: Go forth, you and all the people who follow in your footsteps! And afterward I shall go forth. So he went forth from Pharaoh in the heat of anger.

⁷ Then Yahweh spoke to Moses: Go! Go down, for your people whom you brought up from the land of Egypt have corrupted themselves.

³⁴ and the cloud covered the tent of appointment, then the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle, ³⁵ so that Moses was unable to enter into the tent of appointment, for the cloud tabernacled on it, and the glory of Yahweh filled the tabernacle.

¹⁷ You shall not hate your brother in your heart. You shall admonish, yea admonish your companion so that you may not bear sin with him.

¹¹ Moses said to Yahweh:Why have You dealt evil to Your servant? And why have I not found grace in Your eyes that You placed the load of all this people on me? ¹² Was I myself pregnant with all this people, or did I generate it, that You should say to me:Carry it in your bosom just as a foster-father carries a suckling child, to the ground about which You had sworn to their fathers? ¹³ From where would I find flesh to give to all this people? For they are lamenting to me, saying:Do give us flesh and let us eat. ¹⁴ I am not able, by myself alone, to bear all this people, for it is too heavy for me. ¹⁵ So if thus You are doing to me, kill me, I pray, yea kill me. If I have found grace in Your eyes then do not let me see Your evil. ¹⁶ Yahweh said to Moses:Do gather to me seventy men from the elders of Israel of whom you know that they are elders of the people and their superintendents, and take them to the tent of appointment that they station themselves there with you. ¹⁷ I will descend and speak with you there; and I will divert some of the spirit which is on you and place it on them. They will bear the load of the people with you so that you are not bearing it by yourself alone. ¹⁸ And to the people you shall say:Sanctify yourselves for the morrow, when you will eat flesh, for you lamented in the ears of Yahweh, saying:Who shall give us flesh to eat? For it was well with us in Egypt. Now Yahweh will give you flesh, and you will eat. ¹⁹ Not just one day shall you eat, nor two days nor five days nor ten days nor twenty days.

¹⁹ Korah had assembled the whole congregation against them at the opening of the tent of appointment. Then the glory of Yahweh appeared to the whole congregation,

⁴² It came to be, when the congregation assembled against Moses and against Aaron and they turned around toward the tent of appointment, that, behold, the cloud covered it, and the glory of Yahweh appeared.

⁶⁵ for Yahweh had said to them that they would die, yea die in the wilderness. And not a man of them was left save Caleb son of Jephunneh and Joshua son of Nun.

¹² Then Yahweh said to me:Arise! Go down quickly hence, for your people, whom you brought forth from Egypt have become corrupt. They have withdrawn quickly from the way which I had instructed them. They have made for themselves a molten calf.

³ you shall not hearken to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of dreams because Yahweh your Elohim is probing you to know whether you are loving Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.

²¹ and she calls the youth I-Chabod, saying, `Honor has removed from Israel,' because of the taking of the ark of Elohim, and because of her father-in-law and her husband. <sup>22</sup> And she said, `Honor has removed from Israel, for the ark of Elohim has been taken..

⁷ And Yahweh said unto Samuel, `Hearken to the voice of the people, to all that they say unto you, for you they have not rejected, but Me they have rejected, from reigning over them.

¹¹ Also--when wicked men have slain the righteous man in his own house, on his bed; and now, do not I require his blood of your hand, and have taken you away from the earth?.

²⁴ and it comes to pass, in your hearing the sound of a stepping in the tops of the mulberries, then you do move sharply, for then has Yahweh gone out before you to smite in the camp of the Philistines..

⁷ And Nathan said unto David, `You [are] the man! Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, I anointed you for king over Israel, and I delivered you out of the hand of Saul;" <sup>8</sup> and I give to you the house of your lord, and the wives of your lord, into your bosom, and I give to you the house of Israel and of Judah; and if little, then I add to you such and such [things]. <sup>9</sup> `Wherefore have you despised the word of Yahweh, to do the evil thing in His eyes? Uriah the Hittite you have smitten by the sword, and his wife you have taken to you for a wife, and him you have slain by the sword of the Bene-Ammon. ¹⁰ `And now, the sword does not turn aside from your house unto the eon, because you have despised Me, and do take the wife of Uriah the Hittite to be to you for a wife;" <sup>11</sup> thus said Yahweh, Lo, I am raising up against you evil, out of your house, and have taken your wives before your eyes, and given to your neighbor, and he has lain with your wives before the eyes of this sun;" <sup>12</sup> for you have done [it] in secret, and I do this thing before all Israel, and before the sun.. <sup>13</sup> And David said unto Nathan, `I have sinned against Yahweh.' And Nathan said unto David, `Also--Yahweh has caused your sin to pass away; you do not die;"

¹² and it has been, I go from you, and the Spirit of Yahweh does lift you up, whither I know not, and I have come to declare to Ahab, and he does not find you, and he has slain me; and your servant is fearing Yahweh from my youth.

⁴⁶ and the hand of Yahweh has been on Elijah, and he girds up his loins, and runs before Ahab, till your entering Jezreel.

²⁰ And Ahab said unto Elijah, `Have you found me, O mine enemy?' and he said, `I have found--because of your selling yourself to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh;"

⁴ and therefore, thus said Yahweh, The bed whither you have gone up, you do not come down from it, for you do certainly die;' and Elijah goes on.

¹⁶ and say unto him, `Lo, we pray you, there are with your servants fifty men, sons of valor:let them go, we pray you, and they seek your lord, lest the Spirit of Yahweh has taken him up, and does cast him on one of the hills, or into one of the valleys;' and he said, `You do not send..

¹⁵ and now, bring to me a minstrel; and it has been, at the playing of the minstrel, that the hand of Yahweh is on him,

¹³ And Yahweh testifies against Israel, and against Judah, by the hand of every prophet, and every seer, saying, `Turn back from your evil ways, and keep My commands, My statutes, according to all the law that I commanded your fathers, and that I sent unto you by the hand of My servants the prophets;. ¹⁴ and they have not hearkened, and harden their neck, like the neck of their fathers, who did not remain stedfast in Yahweh their Elohim, ¹⁵ and reject His statutes and His covenant that He made with their fathers, and His testimonies that He testified against them, and go after the vain thing, and become vain, and after the nations that are round about them, of whom Yahweh commanded them not to do like them;" ¹⁶ And they forsake all the commands of Yahweh their Elohim, and make to them a molten image--two calves, and make a shrine, and bow themselves to all the host of the heavens, and serve Baal, ¹⁷ and cause their sons and their daughters to pass over through fire, and divine divinations, and use enchantments, and sell themselves to do the evil thing in the eyes of Yahweh, to provoke Him;" ¹⁸ That Yahweh shows himself very angry against Israel, and turns them aside from His presence; none has been left, only the tribe of Judah by itself. ¹⁹ Also Judah has not kept the commands of Yahweh their Elohim, and they walk in the statutes of Israel that they had made. ²⁰ And Yahweh kicks against all the seed of Israel, and afflicts them, and gives them into the hand of spoilers, till that He has cast them out of His presence, ²¹ for He has rent Israel from the house of David, and they make Jeroboam son of Nebat king, and Jeroboam drives Israel from after Yahweh, and has caused them to sin a great sin, ²² and the sons of Israel walk in all the sins of Jeroboam that he did, they have not turned aside therefrom, ²³ till that Yahweh has turned Israel aside from His presence, as He spoke by the hand of all His servants the prophets, and Israel is removed from off its land to Asshur, unto this day.

² and go out unto his presence does Jehu son of Hanani, the seer, and said unto king Jehoshaphat, `To give help to the wicked, and to those hating Yahweh, do you love? and for this against you [is] wrath from before Yahweh, ³ but good things have been found with you, for you have put away the shrines out of the land, and have prepared your heart to seek Elohim.. ⁴ And Jehoshaphat dwells in Jerusalem, and he turns back and goes out among the people from Beer-Sheba unto the hill-country of Ephraim, and brings them back unto Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers.

¹⁰ and any strife that comes in unto you of your brethren who are dwelling in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and command, statutes, and judgments, then you have warned them and they become not guilty before Yahweh, and wrath has not been on you and on your brethren; thus do you do, and you are not guilty.

² And Joash does that which is right in the eyes of Yahweh all the days of Jehoiada the priest.

¹⁷ And after the death of Jehoiada come in have heads of Judah, and bow themselves to the king; then has the king hearkened unto them, ¹⁸ and they forsake the house of Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, and serve the shrines and the idols, and there is wrath upon Judah and Jerusalem for this their guilt. ¹⁹ And He sends among them prophets, to bring them back unto Yahweh, and they testify against them, and they have not given ear;" ²⁰ and the Spirit of Elohim has clothed Zechariah son of Jehoiada the priest, and he stands over-against the people, and said to them, `Thus said Elohim, Why are you transgressing the commands of Yahweh, and prosper not? because you have forsaken Yahweh--He does forsake you.. <sup>21</sup> And they conspire against him, and stone him with stones by the command of the king, in the court of the house of Yahweh, <sup>22</sup> and Joash the king has not remembered the kindness that Jehoiada his father did with him, and slays his son, and in his death he said, `Yahweh does see, and require..

¹⁵ And the anger of Yahweh burns against Amaziah, and He sends unto him a prophet, and he said unto him, `Why have you sought the elohims of the people that have not delivered their people out of your hand?.

¹⁵ And Yahweh, Elohim of their fathers, sends unto them by the hand of His messengers--rising early and sending--for He has had pity on His people, and on His habitation, ¹⁶ and they are mocking at the messengers of Elohim, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, till the going up of the fury of Yahweh against His people--till there is no healing.

¹³ They sat with him on the earth seven days and seven nights. And there was no one speaking a word to him, for they saw that his pain was very great.

²² Take hold, I pray, to the law from His mouth, And place His sayings in your heart.

¹² From the instruction of His lips I do not remove myself; I have secluded in my bosom the sayings of His mouth.

¹⁸ For I am full of declarations; The spirit of my belly constrains me. ¹⁹ Behold, my belly is like wine that is not opened, Like new wineskins, it is ready to split.

¹⁰ Coveted more than gold, and more than much glittering gold, And sweeter than honey and drips of the combs." ¹¹ Moreover, Your servant is being warned by them; In the keeping of them is a great consequence."

³ The words of his mouth are lawlessness and deceit; He evades even to contemplate doing good.

¹¹ Do not let the foot of pride come against me; And do not let the hand of the wicked cause me to wander. ¹² The contrivers of lawlessness are desolated; they have fallen; They have been tripped up and they are not able to rise.

¹⁵ O Yahweh, open my lips, That my mouth may tell forth Your praise."

¹⁸ Blessed be Yahweh, Elohim, the Elohim of Israel, Doing marvelous works by Himself alone, ¹⁹ And blessed be His glorious Name for the eon! The entire earth shall be filled with His glory! {Amen and Amen.{

⁵ He established it as a testimony in Joseph, When He went forth over the country of Egypt. There I was hearing from the lip of the One Whom I had not known, saying:"

²⁰ Bless Yahweh, all His messengers, Masters of valor, doing His word, So as to hearken to the voice of His word!" ²¹ Bless Yahweh, all His hosts, Who are ministering to Him, Doing what is acceptable to Him!"

¹¹ In my heart have I stored up Your promise, That I may not sin against You."

⁹⁷ How I love Your law! The entire day it is my meditation.

¹⁰³ How savory are Your promises to my palate, Better than honey to my mouth!"

¹⁶⁵ Much peace is for those loving Your law, And there is no stumbling block for them."

⁵ As for those who turn aside to their tortuous ways, May Yahweh banish them with the contrivers of lawlessness. Peace be on Israel."

¹ By the streams of Babylon, There we sat down and lamented, While we remembered Zion."

⁶ May my tongue cling to my palate, If I should not remember you, If I should not elevate Jerusalem Over my principal rejoicings."

² Praise Him, all His messengers; Praise Him, all His hosts."

¹⁰ For wisdom shall come into your heart, And knowledge shall be pleasant to your soul." ¹¹ Foresight, it shall guard you; Comprehension, it shall preserve you,

¹⁰ Take in my admonition, and do not prefer silver, And take knowledge rather than choice, fine gold."

⁹ Give reproof to a wise man, and he shall be wiser still; Inform a righteous man, and he shall add to his education."

³² The wicked man is tripped up by his evil, Yet the righteous one takes refuge in his integrity."

¹⁰ A rebuke settles deeper into one of understanding Than a hundred smitings into a stupid man.

²⁰ Hearken to counsel and receive admonition That you may be wise in your latter days.

¹² A pendant of gold and an eardrop of certified gold Is the reproof of a wise man upon a hearkening ear.

¹ The man receiving reproofs who is still stiff necked Shall be broken in an instant, and there will be no healing."

³ The guards who go around in the city found me. He whom my soul loves, have you seen him?

⁷ The guards who go around in the city found me; They smote me; they injured me; They lifted my cape off me, those guards of the walls."

² Hark, you heavens! And give ear, O earth! For Yahweh speaks! Sons I bring up and exalt, yet they, they transgress against Me."

⁹ The cut of their faces answers against them. And they tell their sin as Sodom. They do not suppress it. Alack to their soul! For they requite them with evil!

¹¹ Alack to the wicked one; evil is his portion, for the requital of his hands is returning to him."

³ And one calls to another, and says, "Holy! Holy! Holy! Yahweh of hosts! All the earth is filled with His glory!"

¹⁴ And if you trust Him, He comes to be for a Sanctuary, and not for a Stone to strike, nor for a Rock to stumble. Yet to the two houses of Jacob He is for a Snare, and for a Trap to the dwellers of Jerusalem."

⁶ For thus says my Lord to me, "Go! Install the watchman. What he shall see, he shall tell."

⁸ And he is calling, "I am seeing on the watch, my lord! I am standing continually by day, and I am stationed on my charge all the nights."

¹¹ LOAD OF DUME For me is a call from the gate, "Guard! What of the night? Guard! What of the night, guard of the rampart? ¹² Says the guard, "The morning has arrived, and, moreover, the night. If you are petitioning, petition, and return with me."

¹¹ For with deridings of lip, and in another tongue He will speak to this people,

¹⁹ The small and great people, who will not counsel, you shall not see. A people of a deeper lip than is heard, with a derided tongue which is not understood."

¹⁰ You must not fear, for I am with you, and you must not take heed for yourself, for I am your Elohim. I make you resolute; indeed, I help you. Indeed, I uphold you with the right hand of My righteousness.'"

¹⁴ You must not fear, worm Jacob, and death-doomed of Israel, I, I help you,'averring is Yahweh, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel."

⁴ And I, I say, "For naught do I labor; for chaos and for vanity I exhaust my vigor. Surely, my judgment is with Yahweh. And my wage is with my Elohim." ⁵ And now, thus says Yahweh, Who formed me from the belly, for His servant, to restore Jacob to Him, when Israel is being gathered to Him. Yet I shall be glorified in the eyes of Yahweh, and my Elohim becomes my help."

⁷ And my Lord Yahweh is helping me. Therefore, I am not confounded. Therefore I set my face as a flint, and know that I shall not be shamed."

⁸ Your watchmen lift up the voice, with their voice, together are they jubilating, for they shall see eye to eye when Yahweh returns to Zion with compassions."

¹⁰ His watchmen are blind, all of them. They do not know to call. All of them are mute curs. They can not bark. They are having nightmares while lying, loving to slumber,

¹ Call with a full throat! You must not keep back! As a trumpet, raise high your voice! And tell to My people their transgression, and to the house of Jacob their sins."

⁶ Over your walls, Jerusalem, I give the supervision to keepers. All the day and all the night, continually, they shall not hush reminding Yahweh. There must be no stillness for you!"

⁶ And we are becoming as unclean, all of us, and as an ornamented garment is all our righteousness. And we are decaying as a leaf, all of us, and our depravities, as the wind, are carrying us away."

⁸ Be not afraid of their faces, for with you [am] I to deliver you, --an affirmation of Yahweh.'"

¹⁷ `And you, you do gird up your loins, and have arisen, and spoken unto them all that I command you:be not affrighted because of them, lest I affright you before them." ¹⁸ And I, lo, I have given you this day for a fenced city, and for an iron pillar, and for brazen walls over all the land, to the kings of Judah, to its heads, to its priests, and to the people of the land;"

³ And withheld are showers, and gathered rain has not been. The forehead of a whorish woman you have, You have refused to be ashamed."

³ Yahweh, Your eyes, are they not on stedfastness? You have smitten them, and they have not grieved, You have consumed them, They have refused to receive instruction, They made their faces harder than a rock, They have refused to turn back."

¹⁰ To whom do I speak, and testify, and they hear? Lo, their ear [is] uncircumcised, And they are not able to attend. Lo, a word of Yahweh has been to them for a reproach, They delight not in it." ¹¹ And with the fury of Yahweh I have been filled, (I have been weary of containing,) To pour [it] on the suckling in the street, And on the assembly of youths together, For even husband with wife are captured, An elder with one full of days,

¹⁷ And I have raised up for you watchmen, Attend you to the voice of the trumpet. And they say, `We do not attend.'"

²¹ Therefore thus said Yahweh:Lo, I do give to this people stumbling blocks, And stumbled against them have fathers and sons together, The neighbor and his friend do perish."

¹⁶ Your words have been found, and I eat them, And Your word is to me for a joy, And for the rejoicing of my heart, For Your name is called on me, O Yahweh, Elohim of Hosts."

²⁰ And I have made you to this people For a wall--brazen--fenced, And they have fought against you, And they do not prevail against you, For with you [am] I to save you, And to deliver you--an affirmation of Yahweh,

¹⁸ Let my pursuers be ashamed, and let not me be ashamed--me! Let them be affrighted, and let not me be affrighted--me! Bring in on them a day of evil, And a second time [with] destruction destroy them."

⁷ You have persuaded me, O Yahweh, and I am persuaded; You have hardened me, and do prevail, I have been for a laughter all the day, Every one is mocking at me, ⁸ Because from the time I speak I cry out, `Violence and destruction,' I cry, For the word of Yahweh has been to me For reproach and for derision all the day." <sup>9</sup> And I said, `I do not mention Him, Nor do I speak any more in His name,' And it has been in my heart As a burning fire shut up in my bones, And I have been weary of containing, And I am not able."

¹⁴ Cursed [is] the day in which I was born, The day that my mother bare me, Let it not be blessed!" ¹⁵ Cursed [is] the man who bore tidings [to] my father, saying, `Born to you has been a child--a male,' Making him very glad!" ¹⁶ Then has that man been as the cities, That Yahweh overthrew, and repented not, And he has heard a cry at morning, And a shout at time of noon." ¹⁷ Because he has not put me to death from the womb, And my mother is to me--my grave, And her womb a pregnancy eonian." ¹⁸ Why [is] this? from the womb I have come out, To see labor and sorrow, Yea, consumed in shame are my days!"

⁹ In reference to the prophets:Broken has been my heart in my midst, Fluttered have all my bones, I have been as a man--a drunkard, And as a man--wine has passed over him, Because of Yahweh, and of His holy words."

¹ Yahweh has showed me, and lo, two baskets of figs, appointed before the temple of Yahweh, --after the removing by Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon, of Jeconiah, son of Jehoiakim king of Judah, and the heads of Judah, and the artisan, and the smith, from Jerusalem, when he brings them into Babylon--" ² In the one basket [are] figs very good, like the first-ripe figs, and in the other basket [are] figs very bad, that are not eaten for badness." ³ And Yahweh said unto me, `What are you seeing, Jeremiah?' and I say, `Figs, the good figs [are] very good, and the bad [are] very bad, that are not eaten for badness.'" ⁴ And there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying:" ⁵ Thus said Yahweh, Elohim of Israel, Like these good figs so do I acknowledge The removed of Judah--that I sent from this place, [To] the land of the Chaldeans--for good." ⁶ And I have set Mine eyes on them for good, And have brought them back to this land, And built them up, and I throw not down, And have planted them, and pluck not up." ⁷ And have given to them a heart to know Me, For I [am] Yahweh, And they have been to Me for a people, And I am to them for Elohim, For they turned back unto Me with all their heart."

³ `From the thirteenth year of Josiah son of Amon king of Judah, and unto this day--this three and twentieth year--has the word of Yahweh been unto me, and I speak unto you, rising early and speaking, and you have not hearkened;" ⁴ And Yahweh has sent unto you all His servants, the prophets, rising early and sending, and you have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear, saying:"

¹⁷ `And I take the cup out of the hand of Yahweh, and cause all the nations to drink unto whom Yahweh sent me:"

⁶ For there is a day, Cried have watchmen on mount Ephraim, `Rise, and we go up to Zion, unto Yahweh our Elohim;"

⁷ And it comes to pass, at the end of ten days, that there is a word of Yahweh unto Jeremiah,

¹⁹ `Yahweh has spoken against you, O remnant of Judah, do not enter Egypt:know certainly that I have testified against you to-day;" ²⁰ for you have showed yourselves perverse in your souls, for you sent me unto Yahweh your Elohim, saying, Pray for us unto Yahweh our Elohim, and according to all that Yahweh our Elohim said, so declare to us, and we have done [it];" ²¹ and I declare to you to-day, and you have not hearkened to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim, and to anything with which He has sent me unto you." ²² And now, know you certainly that by sword, by famine, and by pestilence you die, in the place that you have desired to go in to sojourn there.'"

⁴ `And I send unto you all my servants, the prophets, rising early and sending, saying:I pray you, do not this abomination that I have hated--" ⁵ and they have not hearkened nor inclined their ear, to turn back from their wickedness, not to make perfume to other elohims,

¹⁶ `The word that you have spoken unto us in the name of Yahweh--we are not hearkening unto you;

⁹ Her gates have sunk into the earth; He destroyed and broke her bars; Her king and her chiefs are among the nations; there is no law. Also her prophets find no vision from Yahweh.

¹ And He said unto me, `Son of man, that which you find eat, eat this roll, and go, speak unto the house of Israel.'" <sup>2</sup> And I open my mouth, and He causes me to eat this roll." <sup>3</sup> And He said unto me, `Son of man, your belly you do feed, and your bowels you do fill with this roll that I am giving unto you;' and I eat it, and it is in my mouth as honey for sweetness."

⁶ not unto many peoples, deep of lip and heavy of tongue, whose words you do not understand. If I had not sent you unto them--they, they do hearken unto you,

¹⁷ that there is a word of Yahweh unto me, saying, `Son of man, a watchman I have given you to the house of Israel, and you have heard from My mouth a word, and have warned them from Me." ¹⁸ In My saying to the wicked:You do surely die; and you have not warned him, nor have spoken to warn the wicked from his wicked way, so that he does live; he--the wicked--in his iniquity dies, and his blood from your hand I require."

¹ `And you, son of man, take to you a brick, and you have put it before you, and have graven on it a city--Jerusalem, <sup>2</sup> and have placed against it a siege, and builded against it a fortification, and poured out against it a mount, and placed against it camps, yea, set you against it battering-rams round about." <sup>3</sup> And you, take to you an iron pan, and you have made it a wall of iron between you and the city; and you have prepared your face against it, and it has been in a siege, yea, you have laid siege against it. A sign it [is] to the house of Israel." <sup>4</sup> `And you, lie on your left side, and you have placed the iniquity of the house of Israel on it; the number of the days that you lie on it, you bear their iniquity."

⁸ And lo, I have put on you thick bands, and you do not turn from side to side till your completing the days of your siege."

¹⁹ Their silver into out-places they cast, And their gold impurity becomes. Their silver and their gold is not able to deliver them, In a day of the wrath of Yahweh, Their soul they do not satisfy, And their bowels they do not fill, For the stumbling-block of their iniquity it has been."

¹ And it comes to pass, in the sixth year, in the sixth [month], in the fifth of the month, I am sitting in my house, and elders of Judah are sitting before me, and fall on me there does a hand of the Lord Yahweh,

³ And He puts forth a form of a hand, and takes me by a lock of my head, and lift me up does a spirit between the earth and the heavens, and it brings me in to Jerusalem in visions of Elohim, unto the opening of the inner gate that is facing the north, where [is] the seat of the figure of jealousy that is making jealous, ⁴ and lo, there the honor of the Elohim of Israel, as the appearance that I saw in the valley."

³ And the honor of the Elohim of Israel has gone up from off the cherub, on which it has been, unto the threshold of the house."

⁴ and become high does the honor of Yahweh above the cherub, over the threshold of the house, and the house is filled with the cloud, and the court has been filled with the brightness of the honor of Yahweh." ⁵ And a noise of the wings of the cherubs has been heard unto the outer court, as the voice of El--the Mighty One--in His speaking."

²² And the cherubs lift up their wings, and the wheels [are] over-against them, and the honor of the Elohim of Israel [is] over them above." ²³ And the honor of Yahweh goes up from off the midst of the city, and stands on the mountain, that [is] on the east of the city." ²⁴ And a spirit has lifted me up, and brings me in to Chaldea, unto the Removed, in a vision, by the Spirit of Elohim, and go up from off me does the vision that I have seen;"

³ `Son of man, these men have caused their idols to go up on their heart, and the stumbling-block of their iniquity they have put over-against their faces; am I inquired of at all by them?

⁷ for every one of the house of Israel, and of the sojourners who does sojourn in Israel, who is separated from after Me, and does cause his idols to go up unto his heart, and the stumbling-block of his iniquity sets over-against his face, and has come in unto the prophet to inquire of him concerning Me, I, Yahweh, have answered him for Myself;" ⁸ and I have set My face against that man, and made him for a sign, and for similes, and I have cut him off from the midst of My people, and you have known that I [am] Yahweh." ⁹ `And the prophet, when he is enticed, and has spoken a word--I, Yahweh, I have enticed that prophet, and have stretched out My hand against him, and have destroyed him from the midst of My people Israel."

¹⁴ and these three men have been in its midst, Noah, Daniel, and Job--they by their righteousness deliver their own soul--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh."

²⁰ and Noah, Daniel, and Job, in its midst:I live--an affirmation of the Lord Yahweh--neither son nor daughter do they deliver; they, by their righteousness, deliver their own soul."

⁴ Lo, all the souls are Mine, As the soul of the father, So also the soul of the son--they are Mine, The soul that is sinning--it does die."

¹³ In usury he has given, and increase taken, And he lives:he does not live, All these abominations he has done, He does surely die, his blood is on him."

²⁰ The soul that does sin--it does die. A son does not bear of the iniquity of the father, And a father does not bear of the iniquity of the son, The righteousness of the righteous is on him, And the wickedness of the wicked is on him."

²⁴ And in the turning back of the righteous from his righteousness, And he has done perversity, According to all the abominations That the wicked has done, he does--thus he lives, All his righteousnesses that he has done are not remembered, For his trespass that he has trespassed, And for his sin that he has sinned, For them he does die."

³⁰ Therefore, each according to his ways I judge you, O house of Israel? An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, Turn you back, yea, turn yourselves back, From all your transgressions, And iniquity is not to you for a stumbling-block, ³¹ Cast from off you all your transgressions, By which you have transgressed, And make to you a new heart, and a new spirit, And why do you die, O house of Israel? ³² For I have no pleasure in the death of the dying, An affirmation of the Lord Yahweh, And turn you back and live!"

⁷ For her blood in her midst has been, On a clear place of a rock she has set it, She has not poured it on the earth, To cover it over with dust."

² `Son of man, speak unto the sons of your people, and you have said unto them:A land--when I bring in against it a sword, And the people of the land have taken one man out of their borders, And made him to them for a watchman."

³⁰ And you, son of man, the sons of your people who are speaking about you, By the walls, and in openings of the houses, Have spoken one with another, each with his brother, Saying:Come in, I pray you, And hear what [is] the word that comes out from Yahweh."

³² And lo, you [are] to them as a singer of doting loves, A pleasant voice, and playing well on an instrument, And they have heard your words, and they are not doing them."

¹ There has been upon me a hand of Yahweh, and He takes me forth in the Spirit of Yahweh, and does place me in the midst of the valley, and it is full of bones,

¹³ Then they respond and are saying before the king, "Daniel, who is of the sons of the deportation of Judah, does not promulgate for you, O king, the decree, the interdict that you signed:At stated times, thrice in the day, he is petitioning his petitions before his Eloah."

¹⁷ Then he is coming to stand beside me. At his coming I am frightened and falling on my face. And he is saying to me, "Understand, son of humanity, that for the era of the end is the vision."

¹⁸ Stretch out, my Elohim, Thine ear and hear me; unclose Thine eyes and see our desolation and the city over which Thy name is called; for not on account of our righteousness are we casting our supplications before Thee, but on account of the multitude of Thy compassions."

¹ In that era shall stand up Michael, the great chief, standing over the sons of your people. Then comes to be an era of distress such as has not occurred since there came to be a nation on the earth, till that era. Now in that era your people shall escape--all those found written in the scroll."

¹⁷ Ephraim is joined to grief fetishes. Leave him alone!

¹¹ Behold! the days are coming (averring is my Lord Yahweh), that I will send a famine into the land, not a famine for bread, nor a thirsting for water, but rather for hearing the word of Yahweh." ¹² And they rove from sea unto sea, and from the north unto the sunrise; they will go to and fro to seek the word of Yahweh and will not find it."

² Rise! Go to Nineveh, the great city, and call out against it, for the cry of their evil ascends before Me."

Now Nineveh had become a great city to Elohim, of three days walking." ⁴ And Jonah is starting to enter into the city, a walk of one day. And he is calling out and saying, Forty days more and Nineveh shall be overturned." ⁵ Then the men of Nineveh are believing in Elohim. And they are calling a fast and are putting on sackcloths, from their greatest unto their small." ⁶ And the word is touching the king of Nineveh. And he is rising from his throne and is transferring his fur robe from him, and he is covering himself with sackcloth and is sitting on ashes." ⁷ And he is calling a convocation, and he is saying in Nineveh, By the decree of the king and his great ones, saying:Human and beast, herd and flock must not be tasting aught. They must not be grazing, and water they must not be drinking." ⁸ The human and the beast shall cover themselves with sackcloths. And they shall call with steadfastness to Elohim. And they shall turn back, each man, from his evil way and from the wrong which is in their palms." ⁹ Who is knowing if He will reverse, and the Elohim will regret and turn back from His hot anger, and we shall not perish? ¹⁰ And the Elohim is seeing their doings, that they turn back from their evil way. And the Elohim is regretting over the evil which He spoke to do to them, and He does it not."

⁶ Wherefore night shall be for you, without a vision, and it shall be dark for you, without divining, and the sun shall set on the prophets, and the day shall be somber on them." ⁷ And the vision seers shall be ashamed, and the diviners shall be abashed, and all of them shall muffle over the upper lip, for there is no answer from Elohim." ⁸ And, howbeit, I am full of the vigor of the spirit of Yahweh, and of judgment and of mastery, to tell to Jacob his transgression, and to Israel his sin."

¹ I am standing on my charge, and I am stationing myself on the siege work, and I am watching to see what He will speak to me, and what I shall reply concerning my correction."

⁵ These twelve Jesus commissions, charging them, saying, "Into a road of the nations you may not pass forth, and into a city of the Samaritans you may not be entering." ⁶ Yet be going rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

²⁰ Then He begins to reproach the cities in which most of His powerful deeds occurred, for they do not repent." ²¹ Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the powerful deeds which are occurring in you occurred in Tyre and Sidon, long ago they would repent, sitting in sackcloth and ashes." ²² Moreover, I am saying to you, For Tyre and Sidon shall it be more tolerable in the day of judging than for you." ²³ And you, Capernaum! Not to heaven shall you be exalted! To the unseen shall you subside, for, if the powerful deeds which are occurring in you had occurred in Sodom, it might remain unto today." ²⁴ Moreover, I am saying to you that for the land of Sodom shall it be more tolerable in the day of judging than for you."

⁴¹ Men, Ninevites, will be rising in the judging with this generation and will be condemning it, for they repent at the heralding of Jonah, and lo! more than Jonah is here!" ⁴² The queen of the south will be roused in the judging with this generation and will be condemning it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and lo! more than Solomon is here!" ⁴³ Now, whenever the unclean spirit may be coming out from a man, it is passing through waterless places seeking rest, and is not finding it." ⁴⁴ Then it is saying, 'Into my home will I be turning back, whence I came out.' And coming, it is finding it unoccupied, and swept and decorated." ⁴⁵ Then it is going and taking along with itself seven other spirits, more wicked than itself, and entering, it is dwelling there. And the last state of that man is becoming worse than the first. Thus will it be to this wicked generation also."

⁹ Who has ears to hear, let him hear!"

²⁰ Yet he who is being sown on the rocky places, this is he who is hearing the word and straightway with joy is getting it, ²¹ yet has no root in himself, but is temporary. Now at the coming of affliction or persecution because of the word, straightway he is snared."

³ No, I am saying to you. But if you should not be repenting, you all shall likewise be perishing."

He who is accusing you to the Father is Moses, on whom you rely." ⁴⁶ For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he writes concerning Me." ⁴⁷ Now if you are not believing his writings, how shall you be believing My declarations?

⁵³ Jesus, then, said to them, "Verily, verily, I am saying to you, If you should not be eating the flesh of the Son of Mankind and drinking His blood, you have no eonian life in yourselves." ⁵⁴ He who is masticating My flesh and drinking My blood has life eonian, and I shall be raising him in the last day, ⁵⁵ for My flesh is true food, and My blood is true drink." ⁵⁶ He who is masticating My flesh and drinking My blood is remaining in Me, and I in him." ⁵⁷ According as the living Father commissions Me, I, also, am living because of the Father. Not according as the fathers ate and died; he who is masticating this Bread shall be living for the eon." ⁵⁹ These things He said, teaching in a synagogue in Capernaum." ⁶⁰ Many of His disciples, then, hearing it, said, "Hard is this saying! Who can hear it? ⁶¹ Now Jesus, being aware in Himself that His disciples are murmuring concerning this, said to them, "This is snaring you? ⁶² If, then, you should be beholding the Son of Mankind ascending where He was formerly - ? ⁶³ The Spirit is that which is vivifying. The flesh is not benefiting anything. The declarations which I have spoken to you are spirit and are life.

³⁸ He who is believing in Me, according as the scripture said, out of his bowel shall gush rivers of living water."

²¹ He said, then, again to them, "I am going away, and you will be seeking Me, and in your sin shall you be dying. Where I am going, you can not be coming."

Yet now they have seen also, and they have hated Me as well as My Father,

⁸ But you shall be obtaining power at the coming of the holy spirit on you, and you shall be My witnesses both in Jerusalem and in entire Judea and Samaria, as far as the limits of the earth."

⁴⁰ Besides, with more and different words, he conjures and entreated them, saying, "Be saved from this crooked generation!"

Who hinders you not to be persuaded by the truth?

⁵ For this you perceive, knowing that no paramour at all or unclean or greedy person, who is an idolater, has any enjoyment of the allotment in the kingdom of Christ and of God." ⁶ Let no one be seducing you with empty words, for because of these things the indignation of God is coming on the sons of stubbornness."

³ for this is ideal and welcome in the sight of our Saviour, God,

¹⁵ On these things meditate. In these be, that your progress may be apparent to all." ¹⁶ Attend to yourself and to the teaching. Be persisting in them, for in doing this you will save yourself as well as those hearing you."

Now others are flogged, not anticipating deliverance, that they may be happening upon a better resurrection." ³⁶ Yet others got a trial of scoffings and scourgings, yet still more of bonds and jail." ³⁷ They are stoned, they are sawn, they are tried, they died, murdered by the sword; they wandered about in sheepskins, in goatskins, in want, afflicted, maltreated"

²⁵ Beware! You should not be refusing Him Who is speaking! For if those escaped not, refusing the One apprizing on earth, much rather we, who are turning from the One from the heavens,

¹⁷ Be persuaded by your leaders, and be deferring to them, for they are vigilant for the sake of your souls, as having to render an account, that they may be doing this with joy, and not with groaning, for this is disadvantageous for you."

¹⁸ For, uttering pompous vanity, they are luring by the lusts of the flesh, in wantonness, those who are scarcely fleeing from those who are behaving with deception;" ¹⁹ promising them freedom, they are inherently slaves of corruption; for by whom anyone is discomfited, to this one he has been enslaved also." ²⁰ For if, while fleeing from the defilements of the world by the recognition of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ, yet, being again involved in these, they are being discomfited, their last state has become worse than the first." ²¹ For it were better for them not to have recognized the way of righteousness, than, recognizing it, to go back to what was behind, from the holy precept given over to them." ²² Now that in the true proverb has befallen them: "A cur turning to its own vomit,and "A bathed sow to her wallowing in the mire."

¹⁹ Out of us they come, but they were not of us, for if they were of us, they would have remained with us. But it was that they may be manifested that they are not all of us. "

⁶ Everyone who is remaining in Him is not sinning. Everyone who is sinning sees Him not, neither knows Him." ⁷ Little children, let no one be deceiving you. He who is doing righteousness is just, according as He is just." ⁸ Yet he who is doing sin is of the Adversary, for from the beginning is the Adversary sinning. For this was the Son of God manifested, that He should be annulling the acts of the Adversary." ⁹ Everyone who is begotten of God is not doing sin, for His seed is remaining in him, and he can not be sinning, for he is begotten of God."

¹⁰ I came to be, in spirit, in the Lord's day, and I hear behind me a voice, loud as a trumpet,

¹⁵ and His feet like white bronze, as fired in a furnace, and His voice is as the sound of many waters."

¹⁷ And when I perceived Him, I fall at His feet as dead. And He places His right hand on me, saying, "Do not fear! I am the First and the Last,

¹⁹ '"Whosoever I may be fond of, I am exposing and disciplining. Be zealous, then, and repent!"

¹⁰ the twenty-four elders, also, will be falling before Him Who is sitting on the throne and will be worshiping Him Who is living for the eons of the eons (Amen!). And they are casting their wreaths before the throne, saying,

⁸ And when It took the scroll, the four animals and the twenty-four elders fall before the Lambkin, each having a lyre, and golden bowls brimming with incenses, which are the prayers of the saints."

¹¹ And I perceived, and I hear a sound as of many messengers around the throne and the animals and the elders, and their number was ten thousand ten thousand and a thousand thousand, ¹² saying with a loud voice, "Worthy is the Lambkin slain To get power and riches and wisdom and strength And honor and glory and blessing!" ¹³ And every creature which is in heaven and on the earth and underneath the earth and on the sea, and all in them, I hear also saying, "To Him Who is sitting on the throne-To the Lambkin-Be blessing and honor and glory and might For the eons of the eons!" ¹⁴ And the four animals said, "Amen!And the elders fall and worship."

⁹ And I came away to the messenger, saying to him to give me the tiny scroll. And he is saying to me, "Take it and devour it; and it will be making your bowels bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey." ¹⁰ And I got the tiny scroll out of the hand of the messenger, and devoured it. And in my mouth it was sweet as honey. And when I ate it, my bowels were made bitter."

⁶ And I hear as it were the voice of a vast throng, and as it were the sound of many waters, and as it were the sound of strong thunders, saying, "Hallelujah! for the Lord our God, the Almighty reigns!"

¹⁰ And he is saying to me, "You should not be sealing the sayings of the prophecy of this scroll, for the era is near." ¹¹ Let the injurer injure still; and let the filthy one be filthy still; and let the just one do righteousness still; and let the holy one be hallowed still."
