¹⁰ and He spreads it before me, and it is written in front and behind, and written on it [are] lamentations, and mourning, and woe!"

¹¹ Alack to the wicked one; evil is his portion, for the requital of his hands is returning to him."

⁸ Now come, write it on a tablet for them. And on a scroll delineate it, and it shall come to be for the day hereafter, for the future, till the eon." ⁹ For a rebellious people are they, sons of dissimulations, sons who would not hearken to the law of Yahweh, ¹⁰ who say to the seers, "You shall not direct us!And to the vision seers, "You shall not perceive correctives for us! Speak to us slick things, perceive trifles." ¹¹ Withdraw from the way, turn aside from the path. Eradicate from our face the Holy One of Israel."

²⁹ and unto Jehoiakim king of Judah you do say:Thus said Yahweh, You have burnt this roll, saying, Wherefore have you written on it, saying, The king of Babylon surely comes in, and has destroyed this land, and caused to cease from it man and beast? ³⁰ `Therefore, thus said Yahweh, concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah:He has none sitting on the throne of David, and his carcase is cast out to heat by day, and to cold by night;" ³¹ and I have charged on him, and on his seed, and on his servants, their iniquity; and I have brought in on them, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto the men of Judah, all the evil that I have spoken unto them, and they hearkened not.'" ³² And Jeremiah has taken another roll, and gives it unto Baruch son of Neriah the scribe, and he writes on it from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book that Jehoiakim king of Judah has burnt in the fire; and again there were added unto them many words like these."

² And Yahweh is answering me and saying, Write the vision, and publish it on tablets, that he may run who is reading it."

¹³ And I perceived, and I hear one vulture flying in mid-heaven, saying with a loud voice, "Woe! woe! woe! to those dwelling on the earth as a result of the rest of the soundings of the trumpets of the three messengers who are about to be trumpeting!"

¹² One woe passed away. Lo! Coming still are two woes after these.

¹⁴ The second woe passed away. Lo! the third woe is coming swiftly!
