² `Son of man, write for you the name of the day--this self-same day leaned has the king of Babylon toward Jerusalem in this self-same day--"

¹ And it comes to pass, in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth of the month, come has Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, he and all his force, against Jerusalem, and encamps against it, and builds against it a fortification round about.

¹ And Yahweh is saying to me, "Take your large new roll, and write on it with the stylus of a mortal:To hasten-loot-hurry-plunder."

⁸ Now come, write it on a tablet for them. And on a scroll delineate it, and it shall come to be for the day hereafter, for the future, till the eon." ⁹ For a rebellious people are they, sons of dissimulations, sons who would not hearken to the law of Yahweh,

² And Yahweh is answering me and saying, Write the vision, and publish it on tablets, that he may run who is reading it." ³ For the vision is yet for an appointed time; and it will bud at the end, and will not lie dormant. If it be dallying, tarry for it, for it will surely come, and it will not delay."
