Ezekiel 24:12 Cross References - CLV

¹² [With] sorrows she has wearied herself, And the abundance of her scum goes not out of her, In the fire [is] her scum."

⁵ And seeing is Yahweh Elohim that much is the evil of humanity in the earth, and every form of the devices of its heart is but evil all its days. ⁶ And regretting is Yahweh Elohim that He made humanity on the earth, and grieving to His heart. ⁷ And saying is Yahweh Elohim, "Wipe will I the humanity, which I have created, off the surface of the ground, from human unto beast, and unto the moving animal, and unto the flyer of the heavens, for I regret that I have made them.

²¹ And smelling is Yahweh Elohim a restful smell. And saying is Yahweh Elohim to His heart, "Not any more will I slight further the ground for the sake of humanity, for the form of the human heart is evil from its youth. Neither again will I smite further all living flesh, as I have done.

⁵ For what are you being smitten still? You are continuing in stubbornness. All of the head is ill, and all of the heart languishes."

¹³ You are tired with your many counsels. Standing, pray, are they, and saving you are the astrologers, the seers of visions in the stars, the informers for new moons, from the things which are coming on you?

⁹ And you are surfeiting the king with oil, and you are increasing your compounds from afar, and you are sending your agents unto a far place, and you are lowering unto the unseen." ¹⁰ By the multitude of your ways are you wearied, yet you say not `I despair.' A revival of your hand you find, therefore you do not beseech Me."

¹³ For two evils has My people done, Me they have forsaken, a fountain of living waters, To hew out for themselves wells--broken wells, That contain not the waters."

³ Yahweh, Your eyes, are they not on stedfastness? You have smitten them, and they have not grieved, You have consumed them, They have refused to receive instruction, They made their faces harder than a rock, They have refused to turn back."

⁵ And each at his friend they mock, And truth they do not speak, They taught their tongue to speak falsehood, To commit iniquity they have labored."

¹⁴ Brutish is every man by knowledge, Put to shame is every refiner by a graven image, For false [is] his molten image. And there is no breath in them." ¹⁵ Vanity [are] they, work of erring ones, In the time of their inspection they perish."

¹⁶ `The word that you have spoken unto us in the name of Yahweh--we are not hearkening unto you; ¹⁷ for we certainly do everything that has gone out of our mouth, to make perfume to the queen of the heavens, and to pour out to her libations, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our heads, in cities of Judah, and in streets of Jerusalem, and--we are satisfied with bread, and we are well, and evil we have not seen."

⁵⁸ Thus said Yahweh of Hosts, the wall of Babylon--The broad one--is utterly made bare, And her high gates with fire are burnt, And peoples labor in vain, And nations in fire, and have been weary!"

⁶ Therefore, thus said the Lord Yahweh:Woe [to] the city of blood, A pot whose scum [is] in it, And its scum has not come out of it, By piece of it, by piece of it bring it out, Not fallen on it has a lot."

¹³ In your uncleanness [is] wickedness, Because I have cleansed you, And you have not been cleansed, From your uncleanness you are not cleansed again, Till I have caused My fury to rest on you."

¹³ According to that which is written in the law of Moses, all this evil comes on us; yet we do not beseech the face of Yahweh our Elohim, so as to turn back from our depravities and to be intelligent in all Thy truth." ¹⁴ Alert is Yahweh over the evil, and He is bringing it on us. Just is Yahweh our Elohim in all His doings which He does; yet we do not hearken to His voice."

¹ Ephraim is grazing on wind and is pursuing the east wind. The entire day he is increasing lying and futility, and they are contracting a covenant with Assyria, and oil is being fetched to Egypt."

¹³ Behold, is it not from Yahweh of hosts that the peoples have labored sufficient for the fire, and the folkstems have fainted sufficient for naught?

¹⁸ What does a carving benefit, that its former has carved it? A molten image and a false apparition, that the former of its form trusts in it, to make mute forbidden idols? ¹⁹ Woe to him saying to the wood, Awake! Rouse! To the still stone, Be exalted! It is an apparition; behold it overspread with gold and silver, yet there is no spirit at all within it."
