Deuteronomy 14:1 Cross References - CLV

¹ Sons are you to Yahweh your Elohim; you shall neither slash yourselves nor make a baldness between your eyes for a dead one,

² And seeing are sons of the elohim the daughters of the human, that they are good, and taking are they for themselves wives of all whom they choose.

⁴ Now the distinguished come to be in the earth in those days, and, moreover, afterward, coming are those who are sons of the elohim to the daughters of the human, and they bear for them. They are the masters, who are from the eon, mortals with the name.

²² So you will say to Pharaoh: Thus says Yahweh, My son, My firstborn, is Israel. ²³ And I am saying to you: Dismiss My son that he may serve Me, yet should you refuse to dismiss him, behold, I shall be killing your son, your firstborn.

²⁷ You shall not round off the edge of your head's hair nor ruin the edge of your beard. ²⁸ You shall not put a laceration in your flesh for a deceased soul; you shall not put a tattoo writing on yourself:I, Yahweh, am your Elohim.

⁵ They shall not make bald a tonsure on their heads for a dead one and not shave off the edge of their beard; nor shall they lacerate their flesh with laceration.

⁶ I Myself have said:you are elohim, And sons of the Supreme are all of you." ⁷ Yet you shall die like common humanity, And like any other of the chiefs you shall fall."

¹⁹ And I have said, How do I put you among the sons, And give to you a desirable land, A beauteous inheritance of the hosts of nations, And I say, My father--you do call to Me, And from after Me you do not turn back."

⁶ And died have great and small in this land, They are not buried, and none lament for them, Nor does any cut himself, nor become bald for them."

⁵ that men come in from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria--eighty men--with shaven beards, and rent garments, and cutting themselves, and an offering and frankincense in their hand, to bring in to the house of Yahweh."

⁵ Come has baldness unto Gaza, Cut off has been Ashkelon, O remnant of their valley, Till when do you cut yourself?

¹⁰ Yet the number of the sons of Israel shall become as the sand of the sea, which is not being measured nor numbered. And it comes to be in the place in which it was being said to them, Not My people are you, there shall it be said to them, sons of the living El."

¹² Yet whoever obtained Him, to them He gives the right to become children of God, to those who are believing in His name,

⁵² and not for the nation only, but that He may be gathering the scattered children of God also into one."

¹⁶ The spirit itself is testifying together with our spirit that we are children of God.

⁸ That is, that the children of the flesh, not these are the children of God, but the children of the promise is He reckoning for the seed."

²⁶ And it shall be, in the place where it was declared to them, 'Not My people are you,'There "they shall be called 'sons of the living God.'"

¹⁸ and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be sons and daughters to Me, says the Lord Almighty."

²⁶ for you are all sons of God, through faith in Christ Jesus."

¹³ Now we do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who are reposing, lest you may sorrow according as the rest, also, who have no expectation."

¹⁰ For it became Him, because of Whom all is, and through Whom all is, in leading many sons into glory, to perfect the Inaugurator of their salvation through sufferings."

¹ Perceive what manner of love the Father has given us, that we may be called children of God! And we are! Therefore the world does not know us, for it did not know Him." ² Beloved, now are we children of God, and it was not as yet manifested what we shall be. We are aware that, if He should be manifested, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him according as He is."

¹⁰ In this are apparent the children of God and the children of the Adversary: everyone who is not doing righteousness is not of God, and who is not loving his brother."

² In this we know that we are loving the children of God, whenever we may be loving God and may be doing His precepts."
