⁶ and slaughter the passover-offering and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brethren, to do according to the word of Yahweh by the hand of Moses..

² And saying is Jacob to his household and to all who are with him, "Take away the foreign elohim which are in your midst, and clean yourselves, and change your garments.

⁶ And it will become a charge of yours until the fourteenth day of this month. They will slay it, every assembly of the congregation of the sons of Israel, between the evening hours.

²¹ Moses called for all the elders of Israel and said to them: Draw out and take for yourselves from the flock for your families, and slay the passover. ²² Then you will take a bunch of hyssop, dip it in the blood which is in the basin and touch the lintel and the two jambs with the blood which is in the basin. As for you, not one of you shall go forth from the portal of his house until the morning.

¹⁰ Then Yahweh said to Moses: Go to the people, and you will hallow them today and tomorrow; let them rinse their garment.

¹⁵ Then he said to the people: Be prepared for three days; do not come close to a woman.

¹¹ The one touching the dead body of any human soul will be unclean seven days. ¹² He shall purify himself from sin with it on the third day; then on the seventh day he shall be clean. And if he does not purify himself from sin on the third day, then on the seventh day he shall not be clean. ¹³ Anyone touching a dead body, a human soul who died, and who does not purify himself from sin defiles the tabernacle of Yahweh; that soul will be cut off from Israel, for water of impurity was not sprinkled on him. He shall be unclean; his uncleanness will still be in him. ¹⁴ This is the law in case a human should die in a tent:Everyone entering the tent and everyone who is in the tent shall be unclean seven days. ¹⁵ Every open vessel on which there is no leather-cap fastened with twine, it is unclean. ¹⁶ Anyone who touches, on the surface of the field, one wounded to death by the sword or a dead body or a human bone or a tomb, he shall be unclean seven days. ¹⁷ They will take for the unclean from the soil of the burning place of the sin offering and put living water on it in a vessel. ¹⁸ A clean man will take hyssop, dip it in the water and spatter it on the tent and on all the vessels and on the souls which are there and on the one touching a bone or one wounded to death or a dead body or a tomb. ¹⁹ The clean one will spatter on the unclean on the third day and on the seventh day and thus expiate him on the seventh day. He will then rinse his garments and bathe in water and will be clean in the evening. ²⁰ If anyone who is unclean does not purify himself from sin, then that soul will be cut off from the midst of the assembly, for the sanctuary of Yahweh has he defiled; water of impurity was not sprinkled on him, he is unclean.

⁵ And he said to them, `Hear me, O Levites, now, sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of Yahweh, Elohim of your fathers, and bring out the impurity from the sanctuary,

¹⁵ and they gather their brethren, and sanctify themselves, and come in, according to the command of the king in the matters of Yahweh, to cleanse the house of Yahweh,

³⁴ Only, the priests have become few, and have not been able to strip the whole of the burnt-offerings, and their brethren the Levites strengthen them till the completion of the work, and till the priests sanctify themselves, for the Levites [are] more upright of heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

³ for they have not been able to make it at that time, for the priests have not sanctified themselves sufficiently, and the people have not been gathered to Jerusalem.

¹⁵ and they slaughter the passover-offering on the fourteenth of the second month, and the priests and the Levites have been ashamed, and sanctify themselves, and bring in burnt-offerings to the house of Yahweh. ¹⁶ And they stand on their station according to their ordinance; according to the law of Moses the man of Elohim the priests are sprinkling the blood out of the hand of the Levites, ¹⁷ for many [are] in the assembly who have not sanctified themselves, and the Levites [are] over the slaughtering of the passover-offerings for every one not clean, to sanctify [him] to Yahweh. ¹⁸ for a multitude of the people, many from Ephraim and Manasseh, Issachar, and Zebulun, have not been cleansed, but have eaten the passover otherwise than it is written; but Hezekiah prayed for them, saying, `Yahweh, who [is] good, does receive atonement for every on. ¹⁹ who has prepared his heart to seek Elohim--Yahweh, Elohim of his fathers--yet not according to the cleansing of the sanctuary;.

²⁰ For the priests and the Levites had cleansed themselves as one man; all of them were clean. Then they slayed the passover for all the sons of the deportation and for their brother priests and for themselves. ²¹ So they ate:the sons of Israel who had returned from the deportation, and everyone who had joined them by separating himself from the uncleanness of the nations of the land, to seek after Yahweh Elohim of Israel.

⁵ And it came to be when the feast days were concluded, that Job would send and have them hallowed. He would rise early in the morning and offer up ascent offerings in number as them all. For Job said, Perhaps my sons have sinned and have scorned Elohim in their heart. Thus Job was doing for all these days.

⁷ Expiate me with the hyssop, and I shall be clean; Rinse me, and I shall be whiter than snow."

¹⁶ Gather the people! Hallow the assembly! Convene the elders! Gather the unweaned children and the sucklings at the breasts! The bridegroom shall fare forth from his chamber, and the bride from her canopy!"

¹³ For if the blood of he-goats and of bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling the contaminated, is hallowing to the cleanness of the flesh, ¹⁴ how much rather shall the blood of Christ, Who, through the eonian spirit offers Himself flawless to God, be cleansing your conscience from dead works to be offering divine service to the living and true God?
