1 And the men of Kirjath-Jearim come and bring up the ark of Yahweh, and bring it in unto the house of Abinadab, in the height, and Eleazar his son they have sanctified to keep the ark of Yahweh. 2 And it comes to pass, from the day of the dwelling of the ark in Kirjath-Jearim, that the days are multiplied--yea, they are twenty years--and wail do all the house of Israel after Yahweh. 3 And Samuel speaks unto all the house of Israel, saying, `If with all your heart you are turning back unto Yahweh--turn aside the elohims of the stranger from your midst, and Ashtaroth; and prepare your heart unto Yahweh, and serve Him only, and He does deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.. 4 And the sons of Israel turn aside the Baalim and Ashtaroth, and serve Yahweh alone;" 5 and Samuel said, `Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I pray for you unto Yahweh.. 6 And they are gathered to Mizpeh, and draw water, and pour out before Yahweh, and fast on that day, and say there, `We have sinned against Yahweh;' and Samuel judges the sons of Israel in Mizpeh. 7 And the Philistines hear that the sons of Israel have gathered themselves to Mizpeh; and the princes of the Philistines go up against Israel, and the sons of Israel hear, and are afraid of the presence of the Philistines. 8 And the sons of Israel say unto Samuel, `Keep not silent for us from crying unto Yahweh our Elohim, and He does save us out of the hand of the Philistines.. 9 And Samuel takes a fat lamb, and causes it to go up--a burnt-offering whole to Yahweh; and Samuel cries unto Yahweh for Israel, and Yahweh answers him;" 10 and Samuel is causing the burnt-offering to go up--and the Philistines have drawn nigh to battle against Israel--and Yahweh does thunder with a great noise, on that day, upon the Philistines, and troubles them, and they are smitten before Israel. 11 And the men of Israel go out from Mizpeh, and pursue the Philistines, and smite them unto the place of Beth-Car. 12 And Samuel takes a stone, and sets [it] between Mizpeh and Shen, and calls its name Eben-Ezer, saying, `Hitherto has Yahweh helped us.. 13 And the Philistines are humbled, and have not added any more to come into the border of Israel, and the hand of Yahweh is on the Philistines all the days of Samuel. 14 And the cities which the Philistines have taken from Israel are restored to Israel--from Ekron even unto Gath--and their border has Israel delivered out of the hand of the Philistines; and there is peace between Israel and the Amorite. 15 And Samuel judges Israel all the days of his life, 16 and he has gone from year to year, and gone round Beth-El, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and judged Israel [in] all these places;" 17 and his returning [is] to Ramath, for there [is] his house, and there he has judged Israel, and he builds there an altar to Yahweh.

Genesis 12:7-8

7 And appearing is Yahweh to Abram and is saying to him, "To your seed am I giving this land.And building is Abram there an altar to Yahweh, Who appeared to him. 8 And shifting is he thence toward the mountain on the east of Beth-El, and there is stretching out his tent, with Beth-El on the seaward side, and Ai on the east, and building is he there an altar to Yahweh. And calling is he on the name of Yahweh.

And behold the monument which I aim to be between me and you. 52 Witness is this mound, and witness is the monument, that I should not be passing this mound to you, and you should not be passing this mound and this monument to me, for evil!"

Genesis 33:20

20 And setting up is he there an altar, and calling on El-Elohim-Ishral.

Exodus 9:23-25

2 and that you will return again to Yahweh your Elohim and hearken to His voice according to all that I am instructing you today, you and your sons, with all your heart and with all your soul. 3 Then Yahweh your Elohim will turn back your captivity and show compassion to you; He will return and convene you from all the peoples where Yahweh your Elohim will have scattered you. 4 If it comes to be that you should be expelled to the end of the heavens, from there Yahweh your Elohim shall convene you, and from there He shall take you. 5 Then Yahweh your Elohim will bring you to the land that your fathers tenanted; you will tenant it, and He will bring you good and let you increase more than your fathers. 6 Yahweh your Elohim will circumcise your heart and the heart of your seed so as to love Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul, that you may stay alive. 7 Then Yahweh your Elohim will put all these imprecations on your enemies and on those hating you, who persecute you. 8 As for you, you shall return, and you will hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim; you will obey all His instructions that I am enjoining on you today. 9 Then Yahweh your Elohim will give you surplus in goods through all the work of your hand, through the fruit of your belly, the fruit of your domestic beast and the fruit of your ground, for Yahweh shall return to be elated over you for good, just as He was elated over your fathers, 10 in case you should hearken to the voice of Yahweh your Elohim to observe His instructions and His statutes, the ones written in this scroll of the law, in case you should return to Yahweh your Elohim with all your heart and with all your soul.

Joshua 4:9

9 even the twelve stones has Joshua raised up out of the midst of the Jordan, the place of the standing of the feet of the priests bearing the ark of the covenant, and they are there unto this day.

6 And Jonathan said unto the young man bearing his weapons, `Come, and we pass over unto the station of these uncircumcised; it may be Yahweh does work for us, for there is no restraint to Yahweh to save by many or by few.. 7 And the bearer of his weapons said to him, `Do all that [is] in your heart; turn for you; lo, I [am] with you, as your own heart.. 8 And Jonathan said, `Lo, we are passing over unto the men, and are revealed unto them;" 9 if thus they say unto us, `Stand still till we have come unto you,' then we have stood in our place, and do not go up unto them;" 10 and if thus they say, `Come up against us,' then we have gone up, for Yahweh has given them into our hand, and this to us [is] the sign. 11 And revealed are both of them unto the station of the Philistines, and the Philistines say, `Lo, Hebrews are coming out of the holes where they have hid themselves.. 12 And the men of the station answer Jonathan, and the bearer of his weapons, and say, `Come up unto us, and we cause you to know something.' And Jonathan said unto the bearer of his weapons, `Come up after me, for Yahweh has given them into the hand of Israel.. 13 And Jonathan goes up on his hands, and on his feet, and the bearer of his weapons after him; and they fall before Jonathan, and the bearer of his weapons is putting to death after him. 14 And the first smiting which Jonathan and the bearer of his weapons have smitten is of about twenty men, in about half a furrow of a yoke of a field, 15 and there is a trembling in the camp, in the field, and among all the people, the station and the destroyers have trembled--even they, and the earth shakes, and it becomes a trembling of Elohim. 16 And the watchmen of Saul in Gibeah of Benjamin see, and lo, the multitude has melted away, and it goes on, and is beaten down.

1 Samuel 14:20-23

20 And Saul is called, and all the people who [are] with him, and they come in unto the battle, and, lo, the sword of each has been against his neighbor--a very great destruction. 21 And the Hebrews [who] have been for the Philistines as heretofore, who had gone up with them into the camp, have turned round, even they, to be with Israel who [are] with Saul and Jonathan, 22 and all the men of Israel, who are hiding themselves in the hill-country of Ephraim, have heard that the Philistines have fled, and they pursue--even they--after them in battle. 23 And Yahweh saves Israel on that day, and the battle has passed over to Beth-Aven.

They must not be grazing, and water they must not be drinking." 8 The human and the beast shall cover themselves with sackcloths. And they shall call with steadfastness to Elohim. And they shall turn back, each man, from his evil way and from the wrong which is in their palms." 9 Who is knowing if He will reverse, and the Elohim will regret and turn back from His hot anger, and we shall not perish? 10 And the Elohim is seeing their doings, that they turn back from their evil way. And the Elohim is regretting over the evil which He spoke to do to them, and He does it not."

Zechariah 4:6

6 And I am saying, No, my lord. And he is answering and speaking to me, saying, This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying:Not by valor, nor by vigor, but rather by My spirit, says Yahweh of hosts."
