¹⁴ If you are being reproached in the name of Christ, happy are you, for the spirit of glory and power, and that of God, has come to rest on you."

²⁵ Yahweh descended in a cloud and spoke to him. He caused some of the spirit which was on him to divert, and He put it on the seventy men, the elders. And it came to be as the spirit rested on them that they prophesied, yet they did not do so again. ²⁶ Yet two men remained in the camp; the name of the one was Eldad and the name of the second Medad. The spirit also rested on them. Now they had been among those listed but had not gone forth toward the tent; yet they prophesied in the camp.

⁸ O the happiness of your men, O the happiness of your servants--these--who are standing before you continually, who are hearing your wisdom!"

¹⁵ And they see him--the sons of the prophets who [are] in Jericho--over-against, and they say, `Rested has the spirit of Elijah on Elisha;' and they come to meet him, and bow themselves to him to the earth,

¹ {Davidic{ {Contemplating{ Happy is he whose transgression is lifted away, Whose sin is covered over!" ² Happy is the human to whom Yahweh is not reckoning depravity, And in whose spirit there is no deceit!"

⁹ That he should live further, permanently, And not see the grave."

⁵¹ With which Your enemies reproach, O Yahweh, With which they reproach the heel-prints of Your anointed one."

⁵ Happy is he who has the El of Jacob as his Help; His hopefulness is set on Yahweh his Elohim,

² And the spirit of Yahweh shall rest on Him:A spirit of wisdom and understanding, a spirit of counsel and mastery, a spirit of knowledge and the fear of Yahweh."

⁷ Hearken to Me, knowers of righteousness, My people with My law in their heart. You must not fear the reproach of a mortal, and by their taunts you must not be dismayed."

¹¹ "Happy are you whenever they should be reproaching and persecuting you and, falsifying, saying every wicked thing against you, on my account.

¹⁶ Thus let shine your light in front of men, so that they may perceive your ideal acts and should glorify your Father Who is in the heavens.

²² Happy are you whenever men should be hating you, and whenever they should be severing from you and reproaching you and casting out your name as wicked, on account of the Son of Mankind."

⁴⁷ The Pharisees, then, answered them, "Not you also are deceived? ⁴⁸ Not any of the chiefs believes in him, or of the Pharisees." ⁴⁹ But this throng that knows not the law is accursed." ⁵⁰ Nicodemus is saying to them (who formerly came to Him, being one of them), ⁵¹ No law of ours is judging a man, if ever it should not first be hearing from him and know what he is doing." ⁵² They answered and say to him, "Not you also are out of Galilee? Search and see that out of Galilee no prophet is roused."

⁴⁸ The Jews answered and say to Him, "Are we not saying ideally that you are a Samaritan and have a demon?

²⁸ Now they revile him and said, "You are a disciple of that man, yet we are disciples of Moses."

³⁴ They answered and say to him, "You were wholly born in sins, and you are teaching us!And they cast him out."

²¹ But all these things will they be doing to you because of My name, seeing that they are not acquainted with Him Who sends Me."

⁴⁵ Yet the Jews, perceiving the throngs, are filled with jealousy, and they contradicted the things spoken by Paul, blaspheming."

⁶ Now at their resisting and blaspheming, shaking out his garments, he said to them, "Your blood be on your head! Clear am I! From now on I shall go to the nations."

¹⁰ Wherefore I delight in infirmities, in outrages, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake, for, whenever I may be weak, then I am powerful. "

²⁴ And they glorified God in me.

¹⁰ whenever He may be coming to be glorified in His saints and to be marveled at in all who believe (seeing that our testimony to you was believed) in that day. ¹¹ For which we are always praying also concerning you, that our God should be counting you worthy of the calling, and should be fulfilling every delight of goodness and work of faith in power, ¹² so that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in Him, in accord with the grace of our God and the Lord Jesus Christ."

²⁶ deeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures of Egypt, for he looked away to the reward."

¹² Happy is the man who is enduring trial, for, becoming qualified, he will be obtaining the wreath of life, which He promises to those loving Him."

¹¹ Lo! we are counting those happy who endure. You hear of the endurance of Job, and you perceived the consummation of the Lord, for very compassionate and pitiful is the Lord."

¹² having your behavior among the nations ideal, that in that in which they are speaking against you as of evildoers, by being spectators of ideal acts they should be glorifying God in the day of visitation."

¹⁹ for this is grace, if, because of consciousness of God, anyone is undergoing sorrows, suffering unjustly." ²⁰ For what credit is it if, sinning and being buffeted, you will be enduring it? But if, doing good and suffering, you will be enduring, this is grace with God."

¹⁴ Yet if you may be suffering also because of righteousness, happy are you. Now you may not be afraid with their fear, nor yet be disturbed,

¹⁶ having a good conscience, that, in what they are speaking against you as of evildoers, they may be mortified, who traduce your good behavior in Christ."

⁴ while they are thinking it strange of you not to race together into the same puddle of profligacy, calumniating you;" ⁵ who shall be rendering an account to Him Who is holding Himself in readiness to judge the living and the dead.

² And many will be following out their wantonness, because of whom the glory of the truth will be calumniated,
